I love your consistency. You repeat the ways to use your three words (I'm struggling with mine), you always shop your closet and you are true to yourself. Thank you for all the styling content. I have a very different style than you, but your tips have helped me level up.
I had decided my 3 words were Comfy, Clean, and Classic, but still struggled with building outfits that I love. In this video I realized how similar my 3 words are which makes it hard to add any contrast or take the look in another direction like you showed us here. This actually helped sooo much, and I think one of my words needs to be Sporty. Thank you!!

I’ve noticed that if a piece incorporates all my 3 style words (which are playful, nostalgia and carefree), it’s an absolute favorite, 2 words makes it a workhorse but only 1 word is quite meh and barely gets worn.

Christina, first I want to say I love your videos and find a lot of inspiration in them. But I do wonder how Lily Silk can possibly sponsor so many fashionists/influencers everywhere and still being "sustainable" or "slow fashion". I live in Germany and just today I've been watching two videos on UA-cam sponsored by Lily Silk, both with advertising discount rates. How can that be sustainable considering the amount of natural materials needed to serve a growing, worldwide market? Especially thinking of mulberry silk which is produced by animals (okay insects, but still animals, living creatures). Just thinking...
Exactly. And Silk is made by boiling the caterpillars alive, so they don't have to cut through the silk... it's heartbreaking really..

I am in the US, I watch some of these videos to support the content creators but I don’t and won’t buy anything Lily Silk or Songmont. These two brands are everywhere on social media. So annoying!

I really enjoyed this video. I like listening to someone think through how they’re creating their outfit. I think I know that this was really effective because you were trying on things and I would say, “oh, try those boots!” It’s great to light up your brain and get creative with what you have.❤

I'm glad to see you style light-colored shoes with an overall dark outfit. I always feel like I have to repeat the lighter color somewhere, and I've struggled with this, so my light-colored shoes generally go unworn unless I wear a light bottom.
🤔Trying to keep to minimal amount of shoes is tricky. My palette is mostly black, navy, olive green, gray, burgandy, & brown. I don't mind pairing these colors w/black shoes, but it's not always ideal😖. Sometimes black shoes will instantly draw eyes👁👁 downwards, esp. if they're clunky or chunky.
😉 I've always preferred that continuous column of vertical color ↕️. Can do tonal or matchy monochromatic easier w/my sneaker collection👟.
❤ Love the 🪄 magical disappearing properties of nude or skin colored shoes. 😊Without a doubt, they can beautifully elongate the look of your leg from your hemline to infinity below ⬇️. You need that extra visual extension boost when you favor a combo of maxi skirts & flats like me.
😂 In reality, I am hard-pressed to find a nude shoe w/the right undertone & style that won't set off my 👵frumpy dumpy alarm🚨.
🤓Seen some stylists show cognac/tan shoes (w/belts, & bags to coordinate 👜) to good leg lengthening effect. 😎The color looks fresh in Spring/Summer. It doesn't strike me as dowdy or grannyish either. Think it would look surprisingly well w/my main colors〰️& even suit my few fun pops of lights & brights. So far, I haven't found any that fit my exact requirements, but hope springs eternal🤞.
Beyond color, there is the issue of purpose. Have elegant metallic gold & silver sandal flats, but I don't find they go with all silhouettes. Don't like wearing flowy or wide leg trousers w/flats. Dislike the notion of dragging any pants on the ground. Unless cropped✂️, this style needs a wedge or platform (sandal or sneaker). In some cases, a chunk sole (boot or loafer) might work.
All this to say, it's been trial & error for me. Having to start from scratch to build up staples like shoes & boots. Nothing worse than knowing you ought not buy an outfit bcos it simply won't suit any of your existing footwear🤣.

im about to start digitizing my wardrobe; my 3 style words i got based on the style quiz on the indyx app were androgynous, classic, minimalist. but i feel like the clothes i currently own dont necessarily fit those words, or maybe i somehow did the quiz wrong and should be using a different 3 words?? would appreciate some help from anyone tbh :'')
Late to the party, but aside from taking online quizzes and searching Pinterest for inspiration I think it would help to look through your existing wardrobe! What do your favorite pieces have in common in terms of color/tone/shade, silhouette, TPO (time place occasion), or vibe? What is it about them that make them favorites to you? Hope that helps you find 1-2 words that click 😄

I love your content, but this video was a miss for me, respectfully. I think viewing audiences everywhere have had their fill of Lilysilk and I feel like the outfits didn’t hit right. The pants in the first outfit looked like pajama pants, regardless of styling. The second, all I could think was that you looked like a (stylish😂)cricket player and the third, the cut/material is just not practical or flattering for, likely, most people. You look amazing though!!
Har to see the black garments in front of the dark objects and reflections behind the clothing. Next time, please model dark clothes in front of the white door.
