I for one appreciate hugely all the not-so-little extras Floor puts in her phrases. I can hear how she has worked so hard on all the aspects of her performance, it would be so easy to end the phrases or tones earlier or not do all the extras. She seems to have unlimited energy and vocal agility. Wow! Floor you blew us away AGAIN.

Thanks For recording. I am so glad to see Floor back on stage after her statement she was ill and now is almost recoverd form her breast cancer. So people donate some money for this. I had tears in my eyes with the phantom of the opera.

I won't be recording anything myself though when I go see them in Düsseldorf this week.. I heard Floor say they were recording this concert as well, so expect a DVD/Bluray or something in the future..

Wow, recorded this show 😱✊, and this is already pretty good quality👊. That's going to be a hell of a blu-ray 🙌. It's an amazing concert🤘. Saw them in Antwerpen because Ziggo Dome was sold out. Greatest show on earth 🙌💪👌
If we talk Visuals (Lights,Flames,Screens,Stage) yeah it will be a great Bluray but if we go about setlist its gonna be a bit boring basically the same songs from the past 3 Recordings only changes are the new ones and phantom ... Nightwish has many albums with way to many great songs to just keep playing the same ones over and over
@@desape Yes good idea. Let's take out all classics that people want to listen to live (some of them for the very first time). Or even better make the show 5 hours especially after Floor's surgery 🤘
@@desape Big bands MUST always perform their most well known songs or MAJORITY of the audience will be unhappy. Sure, it would be great to have more of their newer songs performed live but that would require longer show than "only" 1 hour and 45 minutes.
As I see it, you're basically complaining that Nightwish has too many great songs to fit in a single gig and only performing the most famous songs is a bad decision, right?
That said, I hope they had one slot in the tour setlist where they perform different song for every location. That way they would offer even more value for fans that travel to every show AND they could publish Blurays that combine those special performances from different locations and we would have a pro-shot performance of nearly every song in long run. Of course, even that would result in unhappy audience members because their favorite song might have been performed in "wrong" location if they can attend only one show.

Has anyone noticed that Troy's vocals are getting a bit more agressive to emulate Marko during Marko parts? Noticed it over the last few concerts compared to previous ones!
Yes! He is getting a bit more edgy in his voice! I noticed the same when i was in the Ziggo Dome last sunday.
Maybe Floor is slowly training him with his vocals. 😆
But i do still miss Marko's energy on stage. There was a bit more action going on. And when he started to sing he would immediately grasp your attention.
With Troy it takes a view seconds before you realise he started singing.
In Vienna he sang with full power and it sounded very good, he will get used to it and then it will perfectly fit :)
Yeah, slightly more grizzly and punchy but he's a (very good) folk singer and I doubt it will get much better than it is now. There are still many songs they can't perform as things stand. I'm sure that Endlessness would have featured in the set if MH hadn't quit.
Troy is underrated. He has a huge role,and doesn't mind being in the back...
His training is working off, getting closer and closer to the level of confidence he has on his other instruments 😉

I had the pleasure to see Nightwish live for the first time in Berlin last Friday. Truely amazing. Unfortunatelly they had to perform in some kind of a sports hall or so which wasn't even sold out. 😮💨 Amsterdam looks much better ..
Next time in the ziggo Rome you should try to get tickets

Unbelievibly good. To all those how are complaining about Floor. Singing and performing on stage is more than a competitive sport. Beeing 41 and having a cancer surgery some weeks before ...
No one else could do it like her. Even singing live at the Islander Arms 3 weeks after her ermergency surgery was crazy.
And Henk is 65!
So how plays Ronaldo beeing 41 after surgery and will he play with 65?
And for me the most important skill is transforming and bringing your life experiances and emotions into the music.
And there's non better than Floor❤

To anyone wondering why people weren't headbanging like crazy the entire time: I was there. They overbooked the standing spots imo. You had like 40x40 cm per person to stand on at most. A lot of people were literally standing shoulder to shoulder. I was a bit lucky and had a bit more room, but I still had to hold back a lot when headbanging.
To bad this is the one they decided to record then. Part of the DVDs are always the crowd footage.

Great recording, thanks.The next Nightwish performances on stage also with Uncle Henk please !!!!!! The only thing more Henk is requested, especially his special version of The Sound of Silence should be added. And of course also with Noelia, Despacito, Vivo per Lei, Your Man, ..... (for instance when they are present in Latin America, Mexico, Canada, and the USA). Nightwish needs again, after Marko's departure, an extra male voice on stage and Henk Poort is perfect.

Thanks for sharing this video! Could you add the timestamps to the video description, too, so UA-cam creates the automatic chapter marks in the video? I have the feeling they only played Phantom during their shows in Amsterdam because of Henk Poort being there. Nevertheless you're going to have a great time. The show is amazing!

Bij de info heb ik anders wel gezet: "Recorded with my phone at almost max zoom", dus welk punt probeer je hier te maken? :)
Bovendien zoom ik regelmatig in en uit, maar over zulke afstanden geeft dat een hoop shakeycam en pixelfeest, dus doe ik dat zo min mogelijk.
Bij 01:43:30 zie je hoe ver ik van het podium zit.

@@marinaosijek4149 It was doors open at 18:30 for us. I think this concert was ~1hr45mins and ended at around 22:30
@@takkenherrielivemusic3435 thank you. When it strikes 10pm I have to go out because my bus will leave. I won't see the end of the concert. I made a mistake in my estimation because I thought it would last 3 hours.
It's surprising that, even after he's been in the band for nearly ten years, Nightwish haven't worked Troy into all their songs. You'd thing they could find a rhythm guitar or flute or second-keyboard or percussion part for him in the ones he doesn't play on.
It were only 3 songs, where he didn't play...maybe he doesn't want? :D
Compare ...especially ..the end of 7 days of the wolves vocally with the wembly 2015 version...with Marco ...which was pretty different and brilliant.. .. just saying .... Great concert though ❤

Honestly, being there, I have to say the first day was better.
He wasn't completely expected that day. Having seen the set list for the last 20 shows or more, no one really expected phantom. We hoped. But it hit the crowd like a proper surprise, so in that way it was more magical than day 2 ;)
And to think her school mates made fun of Floor for being so tall....Immense talent. They don't come around very often.
Wonder if, in some alternate timeline, she pursued straight opera and made her mark as the greatest singing-actress Brünnhilde ever.

But probably not politics. Floor is physically a considerable outlier, and politicians usually aren't. In fact the only ones I can think of are both US Senators:
Tammy Duckworth, who has no legs but that's part of her story; she's a disabled veteran who lost them to an Al Qaeda rocket and subsequent helicopter crash.
And John Fetterman, who is unusually big and ugly but uses that to his advantage for coming across as a regular guy.

Yes, Nightwish is amazing. When they started in 1996 they already had good music. I truly loved how they grew. They are so diverse. I love that. Some musicians always do the same over and over again but, not Nightwish. It is always new.
I liked Tarja, Annette and now Floor.
I was there and witnessed again that Floor really knows how to draw you in and keeps you captivated throughout the whole concert.
Did Emppu skip Finnish Army, because his Posture is not that good at the end?
I was at this show, there's nothing more annoying than seeing a sea of people holding up their smartphones. Just watch the damn show, it's like they'll never remember it unless they capture everything on a shaky, out of focus, smartphone. It really is ruining concert going enjoyment.
I fully agree. They record songs/the whole show to view later at home on a screen (and in most cases: terrible quality) what they should have witnessed, but missed in reality.
And the concert starts with "Noise"... What an irony.

Yep, Henk Poort's timing was far off in his first verse. Might be not completely his fault: e.g. in case his in-ear system might have a malfunction??

smartphones should be banned from all NW concerts!! I for one, am dying to see them live but I cannot afford it. But to see the crowds stood still while holding up their phones to record the band, what a shame! You guys supposed to be headbanging your way out of those songs! Many years ago, it was such a view to see the crowds excitement... sigh
I understand the inclusion of 'Phantom' for a Dutch audience - Beste Zangers and all that, and they haven't included it anywhere else to my knowledge - but it evokes memories of October 2005, Marco and Tarja, and the end of an era. And frankly, with all due respect to Floor and Mr Poort there is no comparison between the two performances. He's strolling around the stage like he's out for a Sunday afternoon walk, there's no characterisation or dynamism whatsoever. As for the last part, well, I'll say no more. So, fine as a one-off for all the new Dutch fans spawned by that competition but sometimes it's better just to let sleeping dogs lie.
Henk is not used to performing at a metal gig and he's no wee lad anymore to learn and adapt quickly. His performances with Floor at her solo concerts were better, though not exactly mind-blowing either. Speaking of this one: they probably hadn't had enough time for rehearsals. Also, Floor wasn't in top condition, as you probably know.
So yeah, both messed up good and proper. How much does it matter? I don't know. A metal concert is mostly about the vibe and the experience anyways.
Personally, I'm much more bothered by the general direction Nightwish have taken than by their occasional live screw-up.
The version off Floor and Henk was a verry big hit in 2019 here in the Netherland and Henk played the phantom for many years in europe and all respect for Marko but Henk is a mutch better vocalist and playes lots off mucicals and opera s. And i don t like the version off Tarja and Marko at all. I never was a fan off Tarja s voice . Marko had a good voice but nothing special too me. This recording was with a mobile phone. I was there and it sounded verry good. Listen too the version at beste zangers 2019.that a propper recording and than compair. Not with a phone recording
@@teonaj5144 I'm not a big fan of Tarja either. I like some of her solo stuff though. Marko is great, but he sounds and behaves like a stereotypical 80's rocker. He gives very little shit if this style fits the song or not. Have you heard him sing "Ave Maria"? Cringe.
I don't like the "Phantom" no matter who sings it, but if I had to pick a favourite, it would be Henk Poort and Joke de Kruijf. The Beste Zangers show is pitch-corrected (of course - it's a TV show; thank God they didn't butcher it by using autotune, like they did with Sing Meinen Song). Also, I don't exactly appreciate the more contemporary style Floor chose to sing her part in. I understand why - both the show and her solo concerts were meant for an audience used to hearing pop music.
Overall - what happened to our metal Goddess? With Nightwish she has to sing those folksy things, which started all the way back in 2015, her solo album is pop... well, at least we can hear her voice roar there. :) Will we hear some REAL music from her any time soon?
