Wow that's pretty interesting! Idk what it is about it, but I had to go back and listen to it again after your comment just to remember what it sounded like.
@@MrDrBoi It's just a fun high energy song, that I find catchy. Although, it is pretty short, looping after only a minute. And if you didn't care for the course itself all too much that would probably add to it being forgettable

This video really puts into perspective just how much got lost/made generic in translating some of these courses to MK8, which is a shame. And I thought it was electrodome too lol
Great video. Having watched a handful of MK8 Deluxe ranked videos, I find it really interesting how vastly different people's list are and how people rank them differently based on certain aspects like shortcuts or music.
Honestly didn't realise till I started watching a ton of MK8D tier lists post BCPW6 that a handful of Mario Kart 7 courses in the UK have different names in the US version. (At least it didnt click in my head until hearing it so many times recently) It's extremely weird to hear Alpine Pass, Wuhu Mountain Loop, and Piranha Plant Pipeway be called Rock Rock Mountain, Maka Wuhu, and Piranha Plant Slide after knowing them by one name for over a decade. Edit: Didn't remember this but Neo Bowser City, Wario's Shipyard, and Music Park are also called something different in the UK. Neo is just Koopa City, Wario's Shipyard is Wario's Galleon, and Music Park is Melody Motorway (which personally I think is a better name.)
I liked a lot of your takes in this video, especially putting SNES Rainbow Road as the best of the rainbow road's this game has to offer. But our Top 10's are wildly different, so while the list isn't perfect, I thought you did a very good job!
Here's my top 3! 1. Ninja Hideaway 2. MK8 Rainbow Road (This Rainbow Road gets WAY too much hate, I don't get why so many people have this as their least favorite Rainbow Road) 3. Waluigi Pinball Also, is it a hot take to say that Yoshi Circuit is one of the most boring and forgettable tracks ever? The only cool thing it has is that it's shaped like a Yoshi. Other than that, it's so boring I forget it exists.
The fact that Waluigi Pinball was as low as it was instantly made this the best Mario Kart track ranking video ever, no matter which one ended up in the top.
For me most of the "old" DLC tracks are actually the ones I enjoy the most (even Ice Ice Outpost) because of the fact that I don't have a switch for that long and used to play this on the Wii U, where we bought the 4 extra cups especially when I got very ill. So, probably nostalgia more than anything. I think my 10 favorite tracks have to be Koopa City (Neon Bowser?), Ribbon Road, SNES Rainbow Road, Hyrule Circuit, Dragon Driftway, N64 Rainbow Road (Also a nostalgia thing, I had a N64 as a kid and played Mario Kart non-stop), Yoshi's Island, Sunshine Airport, Waluigi Stadium and both F-zero's. Big Blue has some of the biggest shortcuts in the game. So hearing you say that was like: Huh? How? You can cut so many corners (and you can do most of it without mushrooms actually) in massive ways. I really recommend looking them up, it might get your enjoyment of this track up a lot.
How is Big Blue at 46??? -Best song in the game -Biggest shortcut in the game -Awesome aesthetic You say the track sucks because its hard to make a comeback on, but Singapore Speedway is 16 points higher and it also has the same issue
Sweet swet canyon love! its music/theming is my fav and its got all the elements in a short track (aka water/glider/antigrav/split path/shortcut esp with where the donut is its perfect for a quick race!
Wow, excellent job on this video, it must have taken a lot of time to make. I don't agree with some of your choices (for example, Moonview Highway and Waluigi Pinball were placed too low imo) but this was a fun watch.
The Top 25 on this list is damn near impossible to dispute! Also YES to choosing Music Park (or Melody Motorway as it seems to have been called in the UK) as number 1! That is undoubtedly my favourite track (although being a musician I may be biased 😂)
I really hate Los Angeles Laps but I never noticed the mario baseball stadium (i love super mario baseball too!) is a part of it, so maybe i'll grow to like it in due course. Great video!
Very good video, thanks for that. I would disagree with some choices, but I really like your reasonings. It is interesting, how some tracks I really like or dislike can resonante totally different with other people. Saw a few of those Ranking videos, and they all differ somewhat. Yoshi's Island is the GOAT though, I'm glad to see it get ranked as high as it did on your list lol. There's a lot of variety from lap to lap, and it makes each map feel WAY more spacious than it is. Anyway, great video! It was a treat to watch 😄 PS: YOU CAN CHANGE THE SEASONS IN THE ANIMAL CROSSING TRACK???
My one criticism of the booster course pack is that it has so much unused potential - there were certainly so many better tracks to pick and even the ones that were remade then didn’t do them as well as we might have hoped - it would have been so fun to have driven around the Hollywood sign in LA Laps or instead of Toad Circuit we could have had wuhu loop or something
This list (at least for me) is the embodiment of "It's so Joever We're so Barrack" over and over. And I think that's neat. The fact that all of these are so different is really interesting, like Super Bell and Ninja are 2 of my favourites, but I really do understand your points against them. Can't excuse the GBA Mario Circuit not hate though
Good list. Obviously nobody is gonna have the same list but I’m just surprised at how much stock you put into course music. Dont get me wrong the music is great, but that’s not why I, or I feel most people, come to play Mario kart.
imo segment tracks/city STYLE laps are the future for MK, it takes 3x as long to learn each track and i love it, i actually play DLC over base now after 200+hrs in each cuz i like the lack of repetition going back to base tracks that arent segmented
this might be the most interesting ranking i saw so far, and i also agree with some unpopular opinions (main ones being waluigi pinball, big blue and koopa cape relatively low) but i also strongly disagree on some points: ninja hideaway is one of my favorite tour tracks due to the enjoyable layout and catchy theme; grumble volcano is also one of my favorite tracks in the game for similar reasons; madrid drive is one of my least favorite tracks from tour, the theme is amazing but i find the layout really unenjoyable.
It seems like there is not a single list of these tracks that is remotely like mine. Like, for me personally, Animal Crossing in the top 10 is ridiculous, and Excitebike Arena and SNES Rainbow Road that are also in this top 10 might be in my 5 least favorite tracks in the entire series. I also can't get behind Super Bell Subway, Mushroom Gorge, Twisted Mansion, Choco Mountain, Shy Guy Falls, Snow Land, Grumble Volcano, Bone-Dry Dunes and Boo Lake all being that low, especially Boo Lake being the 2nd worst! Wild Woods might be my favorite course in the entire game, so it being in the bottom half is unimaginable for me. I'll also say I think GBA Mario Circuit, Toad Harbor, and Sunshine Airport are too high for me personally. This is you opinion, but I certainly can't say it's mine! Very good video, anyways. These videos are always fascinating to me.
I need to say all the ones you put at the wrong spot plus my ranking for them -Shroom Ridge (33) -Ninja Hideaway (11) -Bone Dry Dunes (way too high) (96) -Super Bell Subway (10) -Amsterdam Drift (19) -Grumble Volcano (14) -N64 Rainbow Road (21) -Dolphin Shoals (26) -Mario Circuit 3 (91) -Moonview Highway (12) -Electrodrome (1) -Donut Plains 3 (90) -Sherbet Land (92) -Athens Dash (13) -Big Blue (2) -Tick-Tock Clock (8) -Rosalina's Ice World (81) -Cheep Cheep Beach (80) -DK Jungle (69) -Neo Boswer City (74) -Dragon Driftway (48) -SNES Rainbow Road (76) -Music Park (62) (had to refrain from unreasonable spots) I hope you make better choices in the future MrDrBoi.
Disagree on toads turnpike. The anti gravity brings a new level of excitement too me, and I just like the idea of being able to drive on highway walls. To each their own though
I fell like Berlin Byways is a lot better than most of the city tracks because it does a good job preserving Berlin overall. Your driving through the Brandenburg Gate, going past icons like the victory Column and the East Side Gallery
youre waaaaaaaaaaay underrating boo lake imo. i just want to remind you that boo lake was the first course in the booster pass that actually had any water implemented. actually scratch that, it is the first DLC TRACK IN ALL OF MK8 to have ANY underwater content. even if you dont like the layout of the track (something i frankly dont get but am willing to accept) you should at least put it higher because of those facts i think
"The version of the N64 Rainbow Road that made it into Mario Kart 8 is honestly a shell of its former self." This is *exactly* why I hate MK8's rendition of the N64 Rainbow Road so much. When I first got to that course in the original version of Mario Kart 8 on Wii-U and saw what happened to that course, I went from excited to genuinely upset that my favorite N64 course wasn't even recognizable anymore. It completely lost its identity.
Yeah while I see why some might prefer the newer version, I'm with you that it doesn't even feel recognizable anymore. It used to be a test of endurance that felt like a real finale and now idek what its idenity is.
fy mk8dx mario circuit isnt a figure 8, the reason each lap feels twice as long is cuz its a mobius strip, basically the perfect shape to show off the antigrav, if u look at the minimap ull see urself going 'around it' 6 times, not 3
I wish they would have brought delphino square into it and oh yeah I agree with you they should have put Luigi circuit (not to be confused with the one from double dash with the chain chomp) from mariokart ds in here you know the one with the weather observation center in the background oh and lastly where is airship fortress?
It’s weird to see someone rank ninja hideaway so low considering it’s one of my favorites as well as others from what I can tell. But good list overall except Mario circuit 3 being that high. One of the worst tracks imo

Well, the original Yoshi "hid" your placement because the hardware was incapable of it. It was a track ahead of its time.
I cant agree with n64 ranbow road as a shell of it's former self when it's former self was to long and boring for it's own good.
this might be the most interesting ranking i saw so far, and i also agree with some unpopular opinions (main ones being waluigi pinball, big blue and koopa cape relatively low) but i also strongly disagree on some points:
ninja hideaway is one of my favorite tour tracks due to the enjoyable layout and catchy theme;
grumble volcano is also one of my favorite tracks in the game for similar reasons;
madrid drive is one of my least favorite tracks from tour, the theme is amazing but i find the layout really unenjoyable.
This is probably the best mario kart 8 ranking video so far. Lots of explanations and it's cool to see how vastly everyone's opinions differ.
Thanks!
Boo Lake is like my favourite track alongside Bowser Castle 3, SNES Rainbow Road and Riverside Park😭😭😭
Some of these be fightin' words! ...now time to harass a friend posting his later today without knowing what he even says.
I need to say all the ones you put at the wrong spot plus my ranking for them
-Shroom Ridge (33)
-Ninja Hideaway (11)
-Bone Dry Dunes (way too high) (96)
-Super Bell Subway (10)
-Amsterdam Drift (19)
-Grumble Volcano (14)
-N64 Rainbow Road (21)
-Dolphin Shoals (26)
-Mario Circuit 3 (91)
-Moonview Highway (12)

-Donut Plains 3 (90)
-Sherbet Land (92)
-Athens Dash (13)
-Big Blue (2)
-Tick-Tock Clock (8)
-Rosalina's Ice World (81)
-Cheep Cheep Beach (80)
-DK Jungle (69)
-Neo Boswer City (74)
-Dragon Driftway (48)
-SNES Rainbow Road (76)
-Music Park (62)
(had to refrain from unreasonable spots)
I hope you make better choices in the future MrDrBoi.
Disagree on toads turnpike. The anti gravity brings a new level of excitement too me, and I just like the idea of being able to drive on highway walls. To each their own though
This was an emotional roller coaster
#3 and #2 are spot on.
#1 is 🤨
How is Toad Circuit and Mario Circuit (from 8) above Boo Lake?
just a few minutes in and it hurts already. Berlin and shroom ridge are among my absolute favourites lol
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks Ninja Hideway doesn’t deserve a spot in the top 50 😭
Yeah I expected some backlash for sure, but didn't realize Ninja Hideaway would be the one people are most upset about.

The very low ranking for my baby super bell Subway is crazy 😓
I'm fine with the change of Kalimari Desert.
Grumble Volcano is my number 1😭
Your opinion is instantly made invalid when you put Excitebike Arena and Baby Park in the Top 10.
This guy doesn't like drifting i guess lol
Music park above mount Wario is a crime💀
looking at yoshis island I wonder what amazing tracks await us for next mk. we still don't have a odyssey and a wonders track
Wow never thought about it but you're right. I'm so surprised there isn't an Odyssey track.
"The version of the N64 Rainbow Road that made it into Mario Kart 8 is honestly a shell of its former self."
This is *exactly* why I hate MK8's rendition of the N64 Rainbow Road so much.
The N64 version was a boring snooze fest that was only saved by the music.
I can ask the same things you asked of New York Minute but of Vancouver Velocity lol
Lol now that I'm thinking of it, I'm sure they'd apply to most cities tbh
How is Sky High Sundae over Ninja Hideaway 😀
fy mk8dx mario circuit isnt a figure 8, the reason each lap feels twice as long is cuz its a mobius strip, basically the perfect shape to show off the antigrav, if u look at the minimap ull see urself going 'around it' 6 times, not 3
Bro saw boo lake and said "Yes, sunset wilds is better than this, so is dry dry desert!!"
Baby Park in the top ten makes me so happy!
I wish they would have brought delphino square into it and oh yeah I agree with you they should have put Luigi circuit (not to be confused with the one from double dash with the chain chomp) from mariokart ds in here you know the one with the weather observation center in the background oh and lastly where is airship fortress?
Would've loved to play on that track again!
It’s a Mandela effect, everyone thinks it’s electrodome and not drome even though it is

Mad respect for doing all 96!
great list
Side note: I know it is an objectivley awful track but I have a soft spot for Tokyo Drift I can't put into words...
You’re probably a weeb
nah this list is awful
15:06 Marker for myself
Finally someone agrees that Ninja Hideaway aint all that
Glad to see Tokyo blur finally getting the hate it deserves >:)
It always got hate.
I love this list. I disagree with most of it, but that's why I love it
It’s weird to see someone rank ninja hideaway so low considering it’s one of my favorites as well as others from what I can tell. But good list overall except Mario circuit 3 being that high. One of the worst tracks imo
today i have learned:
1.electrodrome, not electrodome
2.excitebike, not exitabike
3.people in the comments really hate different opinions (oh wait i already knew that)
I wish sunset wilds got more love 🥺 ah well, to each their own!
