BMW is a money pit. I bought a new one and it cost me about six grand for normal problems within the first two years. And I babied that thing. There is a third type of BMW driver.. And that is a rich person who can afford the massive depreciation and leases a new one every 3 years. That's who BMW wants to attract.
@BMWGarage235 19' M240i. Warranty did not cover premature brake job. New pads, rotors and calipers. Was close to 3k. I got it ceramic coated. At a "third party dealer". However, there was still areas of orange peel that started to form. It was there before I had the coating applied. BMW fought me tooth and nail over this. They ended up paying for half of the repainting...$1.5k out of pocket. Not to mention the extra set of Michelin pilot sport tires that I needed to put on because the factory pirelli run-flats were horrible and were nearly bald at 10k milles. Those were about $2k. It was a blast to drive I'll admit. Also, the Warranty covered a coolant system breakdown that occurred around 15k miles in. I had to have a rental for weeks. Before I turned it in the problem still persisted with the coolant system overheating. Also had rim repair done as the rims seemed to scratch easily. But I don't blame that necessarily on bmw.
My bmw is 21 yrs old and still going strong
Where are you based, Aus ?
Hi, yep based in Australia! Thanks for watching 🙂

Thanks for your comment! By the way did you not have warranty on it for first 3 years?
