Hi, there~(´▽`) Thank you for watching! Sorry for the delay in uploading this video, it's later than usual.
I managed to finish this month's work... And also I'm sorry I didn't reply to the comments on the previous video.
I'm replying to them little by little.

Thank you for another absolutely lovely video! You give me so many ideas of what to make for my family. Sadly, my mother had a stroke a few days ago and is in the hospital. She doesn’t want to eat anything. But I remembered how much she loves Japanese sweet potatoes. Your recipe is inspired me to go and purchase them tomorrow and make your sweet potato and lemon dish. I’m sure she will love them! Thank you again for all of your lovely recipes and please keep them coming.❤

When you talked about new environments in April, I actually smiled, because I very recently got a new job! My second day was a bit tough, but I got through it and my coworkers were very encouraging.
Also, about the reading time in English, it's usually the older people who say things like "half past two" or "quarter til 9". People still say it that way, but for the most part we just say "two thirty" and "eight forty-five". So unless you're trying to pass an English exam, I wouldn't worry too much about saying time that way!

    • @hanakoskitchen8868

Hi, Ariannasv22!! Good luck in your new job! I know it's not going to be easy, but just take care not to push yourself too hard. Hope you enjoy it!!
I feel much better after reading your comments about the reading time. I was thinking that everyone was reading it that way, so I was so relieved to learn that " two thirty" was fine!
Anyway thank you always for your kind and pleasant comments!! Have a wonderful week!!

Another fantastic video. You truly inspire me. And not only that, you say you struggle with “quarter to three” and “25 past 4” yet use the expression “worrywart” with no problem! You’re amazing!

Uuggghhh I felt that electricity curse!! I work in a clothing store and all the door handles for the fitting rooms, bathrooms, and the back break-room are all made of metal. I get so angry every time I get shocked, and there's been times I've seen it light up at my fingertips too LOL Makes me feel like a female Zeus!! The meals look delicious, as always, you do an awesome job Hanako

I really enjoyed the concept of this video! I love the idea of using one pot to steam everything! I try to use as little as possible when cooking so I can make dinner and lunches for the next day in as little time as possible. Thank you for all of the great ideas to try!
Also, I teach elementary school. Telling time and all the ways we refer to clocks is very complicated! I teach my students tricks to remember how to spell months and days of the week. The little egg ball in the second bento was adorable!! So round and smooth, I'd feel bad eating it 😂 I liked how you made a Miffy strawberry as well; you're so creative, an idea like that never would have occurred to me. The prawns looked so good in that sauce as well, that's going on my list of things to try.
I the UK it's Easter weekend so lots of people get the long weekend off of work. I'm visiting my parents for it and they bought me a Lindt chocolate bunny as an Easter treat. I wonder if you can get them in Japan? I'm not a massive chocolate kinda girl but it would be a strange Easter without one 😋
I've always wanted to be able to see the cherry blossoms and take a picnic with me, it seems like such a fun, sociable thing to do. Some of the parks in London have trees which blossom beautifully but nothing like the pictures of Japan I've seen. I'm sure one day I'll get to see them!! 😃

Lindt has several stores in Japan and my husband and I love their chocolates🤤 I always end up buying a lot of them, hehehe
May you come to Japan someday and enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms!
Than you always for your kind and pleasant comments, dewdropmushroom!! Have a wonderful week!!

I was on my own trip, so I am getting to watch this video several days after it was posted. The bentos look delicious! I'm cooking mostly from my freezer at the moment, since the trip was very expensive, so I'm always happy to see ideas for the foods in my freezer! I want to try the chicken with tomato garlic sauce! Your English is quite good, far better than my Japanese (in my defense, I have only been studying Japanese for about 7 months and I am doing it alone, so it is difficult.) A funny story from my trip, I was going to a convention to see two of my very favorite Japanese musicians (one is a guitarist that I think is the most wonderful person in the entire world. He is kind, creative, smart, and amazing...) I worked hard to figure out simple sentences to tell them both something that they had done that I liked. My friend in Saitama made sure that my Japanese was correct, and I practiced so hard to make sure that I would remember and say them correctly. I got to the singer, and stuttered through my Japanese (barely). Then I got to the guitarist and I forgot all the words I have ever learned in any language. Apparently he makes me starstruck and I forget everything. 🤣🤣

Hi, Anne!! I hope you had a great time on your trip! I'm glad to know you have been studying Japanese!! And I understand how you feel so much! I too often forget everything due to nervousness, even after studying a lot, haha. Speaking is more difficult than writing or reading!
Anyway, I'm happy for you that you got to meet your favorite musicians in person!! I'm sure they will be delighted that you tried so hard to communicate in Japanese and will always remember it!
Thank you always for your kind and pleasant comments, Anne!! They cheer me up!! Have a wonderful week!!

But it's for my husband, so it might be a bit too much for a woman. For women, 160-180 ml (150 g) of rice plus some side dishes would be better. I hope this helps you out! Thank you!

Thank you for your kind comment and the question!! I googled about rice a bit.
It says that the two subspecies of Asian rice, indica and japonica, can generally be distinguished by length and stickiness. Indica rice is long-grained and unsticky, while japonica is short-grained and glutinous.
I use a japonica rice called "Shinnosuke," but it may be hard to find where you live, so it might be a good idea to try buying "Koshihikari" or "Yumeshiki" varieties of rice.
