I recently dropped my macbook pro A1502 mid 2014 by accident... Laid it down on the couch, walked away and it somehow slipped and fell to the ground. The macbook fell on a very thick carpet, no visible damage whatsoever so I was relieved. However, when I powered on the macbook I only heard the startup sound and the keyboard and apple logo were lit but nothing happend on the screen... I've seen so many tutorials on youtube and I did everything I saw but none of it worked until I got here! I followed every well explained step, knowing there was a big chance that the problem wouldn't be fixed but it did! I disconnected the connectors of the display, cleaned them, re-connected them and to my surprise the display is fully functional again. I followed every step to assemble the macbook and now I'm typing this message on my macbook with a big smile and a huge THANK YOU!

Hi Binh. Thank you for the video. I'm having a black screen (with backlight) on my 13 2014 Retina after replacing the logic board. I have already re-seated the LVDS in both ends. Hey Binh just an issue here... When I use my macbook pro late 2013 there are times that when I turn it on it works perfectly fine but after some use lets say for like an hour to three hours and I decide to restart it it suddenly boots up into a Blackscreen. I tried to reset the NVRAM/PRAM and I also tried an SMC Reset as well and lastly I tried to reinstall OS but it would still boot up into a Blackscreen. But there are times like I wait a day and all of a sudden it would boot up normally.. Do you think the macbook has a problem with the connections or is this a temperature issue?

I want to say thank you for all your time and effort. I tried the other video and could not get the black screen to work. I was about to give up but gave this video a try, it was pretty intensive, however your step by step instructions worked, I was surprised I was able to follow the process, this is not an easy thing to do but I got the screen working again, no cables were loose but disconnecting the other end of the lcd cable after removing the screen and plugging it back in seemed to do the trick, (no damage and did not drop computer, it just went black a few months after updating my mid 2014 macbook pro to Catalina), only problem I have now is the wifi only works if it's sitting right next to the modem/airport extreme. It used to work fine in other rooms. Only thing I can think of is I was very careful with those 3 small wireless antennas, they were easy to disconnect but reconnecting them they just would not stay down, one would stay down then another would pop up, so I had to hold all 3 down at once and push them down together, I'm assuming they are working since wifi is working 1 foot away from the modem/router but should I disconnect the battery, drain the power, disconnect the wireless antennas again and try reconnecting, and if they do not stay in place can I put a piece of electrical tape or something to hold them down better? Thank you so much, if I can get the wifi working properly I'll have my computer back up and running.
