I just wish they would add more black, blue, and even other colors to their collections. I know they have been better recently but not everyone needs another silver/white dialed dress watch. Other colors would also greatly improve legibility
New to your channel and I enjoy the variety of topics you cover. I own the 39mm JLC Master Control Date and you are right it is a versatile watch that definitely flies under the radar. I think the 2020 Master Control Calendar Chronograph was the best new watch introduced in 2020.
Love the new Master Control line. The previous editions that had the meteorite dial were also stunning. So honest question for you! Would you rather have a silver dial Datejust on Jubilee or steel Master Control Calendar? Similar price points, similar dress/sports balance.
Good question! If it were me today and I had all the knowledge I didn't have back when I bought my DJ, I would probably opt for the JLC because of the "under the radar" factor and the brand is just so lovely as a whole.
@@aaronkeyes8943 I have a master control solid gold and it is one of the nicest watches ever made. Their steel watches are fantastic as well and look great.
I’ve bought the stainless steel Master Control Geographic. It has one of the most useful features (world timer) and the beautiful stepped dial. I thought about Master Control Calendar initially. But the jumping date hand looked fun but still a bit gimmicky to me. JLC first created the problem (overlapping date hand and moon phase) and then solved it. It would have been more logical to place the date hand on the moon phase dial (like on the Chronograph) and add a full size second hand to the main dial. The date looks much more organic with the moon phase both aesthetically and contextually.
