HELLO LEGENDS! Absolute chaos this video, I 'spose that's what you get making videos at 3 AM. Anyway, many of you will know this, but there's plenty of nonsense to keep those people happy, and if you don't, then you get double-bubble pleasure! Enjoy! And don't forget that THUMBS-UP!

Jo Guest? A man of culture as well as knowledge!

Ah, I see you're a Man of Culture too. I got off wit Jo Guest at TFI Friday, but it went downhill as I became more intoxicated and ruined what would )should) have been one of the best night of my life. Still, not a bad night anyway.

Amazing that so many warded locks are still made today given how easy they are to open with the right tools or filed down keys! Great video that sounded like you enjoyed yourself making it. Cheers Legend.

Thanks for your kind words. When I say 'Butt Naked' for absolutely no reason, I think it's fair to say I'm enjoying myself, or going nuts - maybe a bit of both. And yes, the fact these locks are still bought and sold says everything you need to know about the 'security via obscurity' situation we're in. it's a joke, really.

I used to work underground in a second world war ammunition store which was quite large- 1.131Million square feet of storage space and each storage District was secured by 'Blast doors', We skeletoned a key each and that saved loads of time as one key fitted all. That lead to me being threatened with being shot a few years later. Fun times.

Thank god it came with instructions on the back! Who knew how to operate a lock and key? 🤪
As an aside, even as a yank, I always found Old English/proto Germanic interesting and very cool sounding, insomuch as they can recreate the sound of it. The sentence structure is always so poetic.

LONG AGO; Back in my Salad Days (when I was young and green), I was a Very naughty boy, along with a small group of equally naughty boys. As Misspent Fate would have it, we took to the Extremely Bad habit of Loaning people's cars without their permission _(Yes I know, I should be Ashamed of myself, but inevitably I did pay the price for my misbehaviour and in spades),_ Cars back then were Ridiculously Easy to open and Start. We ALL had sets of Keys Filed (or worn), down leaving only the double Pyramid shape at the end of the key and I can only remember 'ONE CAR' in almost (200), where we could not open the door and Start it. I can even remember the car, A Customised Mk. 2 V6 Cortina Savage.

What will probably surprise you is vehicle locks haven't come on much at all since then. A lishi pick in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing can open and start most vehicles in a minute or two. It's shocking really. Security is largely a myth maintained by obscurity. The ever trusting public think their door locks, their vehicle locks, all their locks at least offer an amount of security - and I suppose they do - a gnats pi*s worth.

@@LockPickingLegend I was thinking about those Bump Keys and wondered if they could improved.
Remember those 'Super Balls' that bounce Really high as soon as they hit the ground ?
Maybe You could make a deep slit in one of those balls and imbed the Bow//Head part of the Bump key into it and when it comes to Bumping ? the slightest tap on the ball may cause enough impact to open the lock... + it would be silent...
