Humm...If the 720b is 40-50% more powerful than the newer 500b ii, so I believe it's only a 1/2 stop brighter than the 500b. In the total scheme of things, maybe one could save their money and get the 500bii especially since it has the M'G adjustments. I'm thinking out loud since I do have the 720b, but might return it for the 500bii.
Lighting is a weird thing hey! You need to 4x the wattage to 2x the light output! We often just go for our 300B because the extra weight and size of this isn't worth all the effort.
Congrats dude! Such an amazing light! I actually just released a video on some new 14.8v v lock batteries which are a pretty good match. But keep in mind that you'll only get 40% off 14.8v and then 60% off 26v. So if you want maximum power, then 26v is the way to go :)
Yeah, this is super powerful, but it is big heavy and a lot more difficult to power, than the smaller lights. I love the 60s as they can run off Sony NF batteries, and do make a difference in shady areas. This to me is cheaper and much more mobile. Of course it is not the same power. But 720 is a lot more to lug around and expensive to run off batteries if not using reticulated power.
Forza 60's are great if you can get close. But when you're trying to light an entire room, the Forza 60's fall short here. Each light has it's own ups and downs. Just need to figure out which is the right light for the rigth situation :)
Based on other UA-camr test, this bi color version is only about 15% less brightness than 720 daylight version set at 5600k. That is insane. Usually bi color version is only half the power of daylight version.
Most of Nanlite's Bi-Coloured fixtures are only slightly less powerful then the daylight. No where near 50% as powerful. They've really nailed their chip design to allow for maximum output!
Can someone please get Andrew to 6k already! This guy deserves way more subs, Solid review brother!
Haha thanks legend!!
We made it!!!

Very detailed, tks for sharing, Andrew😊👍
Anytime!
That 300B vs 720B window light comparison says it all. The 720B is a winner.
You know it! Night and day!
I think I know what I need to buy next!!
You won't be dissapointed
Fan noise recorded with lav or camera Mic? Does it get louder as it gets hotter?
On camera mic 1m away. Not stays consistent :)
Hey Andrew, just bought a 720B! And super stoked specially after watching this vid, what v mount batteries would you recommend?
