Loooooved this video!! Would love an even more detailed break down with how you decide how bright or dim your lights should be for certain shots and how that translates to what your settings are on camera. I'm yet to find a good video that explains it. Most videos are just "turn the light on and use it in this angle" etc.
i love cinematography breakdowns. Can you do reviews on more lights and cheap filmmaking gear in general? I think a lot of your viewers are low budget filmmakers. Love your vids :)
Great breakdown as per usual! Great point on using continuous lights for photography, currently trying to do that for shoots where I need to shoot photo and video!
Thank you for your presentation. I do have the FORZA 60D. good light. I am waiting patiently for your review of the RODE WIRELESS PRO microphone If you interested of course. You are a great reviewer / teacher.
Nice piece as always. I already have a few Nanlite Forza lights and was looking for another 500b but not at the Forza price even tho I love the Forza range.!! After watching this I’ve pulled the trigger on the Fc 500. Looking for to using it….
I'm planning to use it as a video but photography light as well. But I'm not sure whats the difference between Spotlight vs Monolight. Hard to find in google for some reason. @@KofiYeboah
The only thing that I don't like about these lights is the lack of flexibility of using batteries. I had a gig where I wanted to shoot an interview with a beautiful skyline in the back in an office. Could one of those lights offer the power to expose for windows with a soft box? I need a light for those situations. My Nanlite 60c is good enough for regular rooms (in most cases of course..lol)
You can run it off any portable AC battery bank like a Jackery as long as its rated for the same or higher output. I run lights like these off a battery despite being "AC only".
Okay I’m really going to make it a tradition to take a shot (of water) everytime you say “now”. 20 seconds in and all got 3. With your help, I’ll have no problems meeting my daily hydration goals
@KofiYeboah Thanks for the review, Bro!! Nanlite looks to have great products, I'll have to get some of their products. Got their website bookmarked. Great content!!! 👍🏾
Very helpful, especially when you turned the lights off to show the ambient lighting and then added them back one at a time. Thanks!
Anytime b
Thanks for the heads up on these lights. They look like a great choice, especially given the output and the price point.
Amazing for indoor lighting !
Loving this new angle! And these lights are looking 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks my g !

It might be slightly disingenuous for me as many things are tools I ACTUALLY use for

I am looking for some lights so this is perfect timing.
Enjoy these !
bruhhhh, those table tennis photos! please show how you lit those, theyre amazing!
Making a top 10 lighting set up video soon!
Great lights! I chose the fs300 tough. Its much cheaper and 350 watts daylight which is all i need.
It’s a great light to have :)

Right on! Enjoy !
Since these are spot lights Can I use them as a "Monolight" with diffusers?
I think if you plug them in it might be bright enough

They have their Forza line for that!
@@KofiYeboah I ended up getting the Forza 720B and hopefully, I only have to cry once!...LOL
Awesome video, you crush it!
🙏🏾 thanks !!
Hi, do you think fan noise can be an issue with Nanlite FC-500B for interviews?
I didn’t notife it much tbh
May I ask how you did that screen overlay of the Nanlite app on the right of the screen there?
I just recorded it and airdropped it to my laptop
Does the FC500B have umbrella mount?
I didn’t see one 😅
Yes, it has one
@@jakobfunke4994 indeed, I searched on the website and has one like the FS series
New word: comfortability.
Do they need to be plugged into a wall outlet at all times? Or does the battery pack it comes with able to run without being plugged in
Need to be plugged in, for battery power , try the Forza equivalent 👍🏾

works with only ios?
I only have iOS so I don’t actually know
