Pro tip for using nanlite. The way you put them in standby mode is by pressing the brightness knob. Switching it off turns it off fully, but pressing the brightness knob just puts it in standby and makes it turn back on much faster.
In the three-light-comparison the 720B and the 720 looked the nicest for skin tones to my eye… but it also bothered me a little that the neutral colored wall in the back also turned a bit extra warm with those, compared to the Aputure. I didn’t notice it at first until I took a closer look at the side-by-sides.
When you made it black and white, was it desaturation? Or was it channel isolation? Because if it's show ohh the red channel or likewise any other channel then the change in color will be reflected as a change in brightness.
IT IS NOT HUMID IN ARIZONA!! When I was there in 2010 and 2011, in JULY, a week before monsoon season, the locals told me about the humidity going all the way up to 12 PERCENT, and I laughed. Here in NE Ohio the temperature will be in the 90's and we will have 90 and 100 PERCENT HUMIDITY, and this can be all through the summer. We NEVER see only 12 percent humidity, which locals in phoenix called "HIGH HUMIDITY." While there and it was 105 degrees, it was fine for me. I wouldn't want to play football in that temperature, but I was fine going about my day in it.
Forsa has better skin tones and power but it is a new product. Aputure 600d is kinda old product compared to Forza 720. So I guess they will come with new one ;)
I like the skin tones in the 720 the most. the 720B felt like it had a lot of green in the skin tones and the 600D was too pink. Although the 600D might be more "accurate" I like the look of the 720.
Great comparison. The Nanlite looks great initially when compared to the Aputure, nice and warm. Then you see the white wall in the background is also a bit warm in the Nanlite shot. It’s great Nanlite is pushing competitors. Their Evoke with a variety of accessories is awesome.
If you simply want to cut to the inevitable, you can save money by burning out the talent's retinas with a 150W soldering iron vs. the whole high-powered-light-fixture approach.
Skin is a bit brighter while using warmer light, but it is becouse skin reflect mostly red light. So if red light dominate spectrum, skin and other things with warm colors can appear brighter then cold ones.
I’ve got the evoke 1200 and it’s just the best. Its a shame nanlite doesn’t have the brand recognition that aputure does because their lights do generally outperform aputures in several ways. Been looking at the 720b for a while as it seems to be as bright as the 600d with the obvious benefit of being bi color
I like how you blend in VLOGing with information. Way to go to stand for your beliefs, I don't care about effects either in lights... I just like seeing the review of the main function. I like the 720 B look in the comparison
At least down south, you get days with low enough wind to use that light and diffusion outside. Up here (Western Mohave County), it's always windy... and the humidity is rarely made up for by actual rain! Also, the 600 looked pretty good, on my phone anyway.
Tips...don't use the strap that came with the bag. I was on my way back slinging the bag on my shoulder and the metal clip gave way. This light with the control weighs 10kg....its too much for the strap to handle.
Don't watch this video! You've been warned by the thumbnail.
It's true
I did not heed the warning & it was a huge mistake... it was right on the label
Lynn is back! She's more important than any light and obviously, more important than Thomas 🤩

I'm loving the office humor these videos have. Also that he's sweating like crazy all the time. Totally relatable.

Awesome! I want that 720B soooo bad! Such a wonderful do it all light.
I clicked 'like' on this video because Lynn is in it.
All jokes aside, I learn so much from this guy - no one said ever
How bright are these to say compared to a 300w light? Are they quite literally more than double the brightness?
We miss you.
Thanks for sharing!
welcome back Lynn!
Is it safe to use any softbox (including ones for photography) with these led video lights - will they melt them?
Yes it’s ok

The 720B is my favorite

I love Thomas
After a long time.....
A video
720B seems to be warmer
Can you make a video about cheap lighting again? or i will subscribe this channel

My thoughts exactly
Yes, but who is Lynn exactly? Did Thomas pull her in off the street with promises of "exposure" and "candy?"
Yes actually
720 is the best then 720b
Don't watch this video! You've been warned by the thumbnail.
Advertising "constant output" is a bit of a scam when they're just dropping the max output across the board to match the lowest available maximim.
I mean I thought that was obvious? How else would the output stay constant if it’s not being lowered?
its not advertising its, its just a feature which can be handy when you need the light to change the temperature in a scene for some reason
It’s the color accuracy on the skin tone with the 720 for me. Great video! Aputure is getting too comfortable with their products.
5:05 Why not use false-color, the histogram or a lightmeter to be more precise?
Tks for for sharing!

Hey jerks, saw the warning on the thumbnail, don’t tell me what to do, watching so hard right now!
Some real expensive flash lights there bub.
I thought she quit, glad to see her back hahaha
Lynn is back. Life makes sense again!
Lynn clearly subscribed to other channels.....
Aputure now has a aputure 600d which is cheaper than the 600d pro
I will watch it anyway 😆

The 720B definitely got brighter at 4000
glad they fixed the joints, the old ones on the 300 are really bad...
I can't wait for Lynn to start her own channel so I can unsubscribe and stop watching yours.
Nice video. Whatsup with The ground tone in The audio

HEY!!! Welcome back!!!
Kinda wild. Nice video.
Hi!! Make a video with a projector for backgrounds... it can be cool :D
How did you mount your EVF with that type of smallrig top handle?
Don't tell us what to do, Thomas! XD
