It’s weird, I have learned that really focusing on keeping the pop straight is key. You could maybe try counter flicking with your back foot so it won’t varial
Best way to fix is to point your popping finger more straight down so when you pop you basically force the board straight down instead of naturally wanting to scoop the board like when your popping finger is more flat

I can’t Ollie high. I’m disabled but i used tech decks in middle school I’m 30 now. I got a tech deck a few days ago an ya. Well I ordered a teak tuning board so hopefully it’ll be an upgrade
try popping the board then move your arm with the board with both your index and middle finger keeping the board stable or slide/move those 2 fingers when you’re popping the board going upwards with it then try to get it to land
i use a cheap target finger board and the only trick i could do is a shuffle kinda like but hey its still great my grandpa has a tech deck but im scared to ask for it.
that flicking motion on a kickflip is so hard!! these other dumb tutorials wanting easy clicks say how to kickflip and say flick ur forward finger like a skateboard, but it doesnt help at all. tryna get smooth kickflips for a montage
@@sassyreadhead6922 the first easiest trick i recommend to people (without needing to ollie) is shuv it/pop shuv it, don’t apply too much pressure when doing it or the board will fly away or it won’t come back in a perfect 180 degrees.
Yk I don’t tell people this very often but took me 3 years to learn how to Ollie and now during quarantine I’m learning kickflip front blunts and tre back smiths so I really dose take a hella of a lot patience.
No matter how hard I try, foam or grip. My kickflips become varial kickflips and I'm confused but I'm not complaining
