This video with your nephew was great. He is smart and wonderful.. I like to see kids involved in learning new things because they want it, not being forced to do it. You Jo are a great example and a teacher for him. Well done to both of you. 👏🏻👏🏻
Not me getting a Duolingo notification at the end of this video telling me to extend my streak 😂 Your nephew is adorable! This was a very fun episode & I love to see how you’re still close w your nephew despite your travels. It makes me feel more comfortable for knowing my relationship with my nephew will stay strong despite my travels.
it’s crazy that i wouldn’t know he doesn’t really speak portuguese until he said he didn’t, because he has a faint brazilian accent on his english! i was literally listening to him like “he sounds like me” 😭 i loved this episode a lot ❤
So cute! Loved the duolingo stuff too. I’m doing duolingo too now. For Portuguese! So seeing the duolingo plushie and hearing about your experiences was fun. Laughed a lot too!
As someone who has grown up in both countries and thus having experienced both of them, I would learn the dutch from The Netherlands. The dutch people are straightforward, honest, confident and all of the other good stuff ;) . There is no beating around the bush with dutch people. They will always say what they think which is the best quality one could have. And the Flemish here in Belgium love it when you speak the dutch accent. By the way Oostende in Belgium is my favorite city to go in the warmer periods. If you visit Belgium in late spring, summer or early autumn, I'd put Oostende on my list.
I hadn't come across one of your videos in suuuuch a long time and I enjoyed this one very muuuuch omg your nephew ready with his (Duolingo) questions and I totally forgot the calmness that I get from your videos/voice!
If I can remember is this the nephew that didn’t remember who you were because you were traveling so much 😂 I knew your struggle. I love this!❤ excited to see his language growth.
Always makes me happy to see you Jo! I follow you from the very beginning. You are super cute and smart. Continua fazendo o que vc faz de melhor. Beijos no coração 🥰
Loved this video! Congrats on your streak, Donnie!! por favor aprenda português!! Don't worry about safety or health in brasil. There is risk everywhere. Guess where I got covid?? In the USA. Twice. Didn't get it while home in brasil.
Groeten, Henk
great episode! Donnie is a smart kid and knows a lot about languages already! his concern about covid is real tho. he should get his booster b4 he travels :)
Hi Jo, Can you show us, how is the JoClub Classic and the JoClub Fluent "inside" the plataform? to understand the "material" diferences and how does it work
Donnie!!! So well done. おつかれさまでした。(Otsukaresama deshita)。This means "Thank you for your hard work" in Japanese (very common, important phrase!). I have a question for you -- Why did you choose to learn Japanese (aside from wanting to visit)? I used to live in Japan and I think you will LOVE Tokyo & the whole country. Go get that passport and がんばれ! ('ganbare'! Definition: go for it/do your best). 😃
He’s grown so much 🤩 so lovely! I have two nephews who speak already two languages (Italian and German) and with Julien they learn a bit of French. In primary school they’ll do English as well. Future polyglots in the making 🩵🩵 Mariangela xx
He's so smart!!! And yes. Duolingo needs to sponsor him!!!
