Sorry, but I'm going to make a personal comment here ... Your face just exudes kindness, tenderness and has a sweetness about it, while maintaining a very masculine quality also (& not just the beard. lol). I'm just an old 74 yr old romantic and those qualities are hard to find in men these days. Nice to see! ☺
They had so many amazing songs it's hard to pick one as a favourite. I always loved this song, Words, I've Gotta Get A Mess.age to You. No auto tune - just pure talent. Oh and I love your reactions. So glad you love them so much. I could listen to Barry sing the phone book. The Guilty album they wrote for Barbra Streisand is still awesome - Barry did 2 duets with her
Although I love all of the concert videos of the Bee Gees I have to say that you're doing yourself a great diservice by mostly watching those later concerts. I love watching the videoes from like 1967 to the early 70's. I'm 70 years old and was only about 13 or 14 when they broke onto the scene. I loved watching them on the Ed Sullivan Show just as much as I enjoyed watching the Beatles a few years before in 1964. There are also a lot od videos from British tv shows that you might want to watch. In the time period I'm talking about I was about 14, the twins were about 17 and Barry was around 20. I love seeing them again on the videos when they were teenagers. They were so cute. 😊
Barry is still married yo his beauty queen After Barry lost his two brothers. He didn't want to continue. His wife told him to start performing. It took him a year. She was so worried about his mental health He recorded the album Greenfield s. He sings with many different singers. But all Bee Gee hits
I don't mind at all being old now because I lived through the very best time! Btw. The Bee Gees wrote the title song for Grease and Rudy Valli sang it.
I was married early 60's.......and yes...songs were created that spoke to each other not at each other. My husband of 60 years just passed and the BG's fill a void. Thanks for sharing they still mean something at 80!!
@charlesstraight5499 It was written for Otis Redding but he died before he could record it. Barry said the song was actually about their manager. Barry Gibb explained in a June 2001 interview with Mojo magazine: It was for Robert (Stigwood). I say that unabashedly. He asked me to write a song for him, personally. It was written in New York and played to Otis but, personally, it was for Robert. He meant a great deal to me. I don't think it was a homosexual affection but a tremendous admiration for this man's abilities and gifts.[11]
Barry was recently inducted into the country music Hall of Fame. He has written many many very famous country songs for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers and many others.
There's a great BeeGees song that features Maurice who always let the light shinecon Barry and Robin. It's calked Man in the Middle. About being a peacemaker and also about his addiction to alcohol. It's one of my favorites.
The harmonies on the very last couple notes when they sing “the way I love you”, my goodness their harmonies are just beautiful I can’t say enough about this group I really can’t❤
Hey, Kathy here - I LOVE this song and so glad you chose it. I grew up on listening to the Bee Gees, and this one was a favorite of mine. You want to see another version of this one? There was a Tribute to the Bee Gees, and Keith Urban, a country legend, was asked to perform this one. Barry and his wife of over 50 years was sitting in the audience. Keith not only sang it beautifully, but he is a master on the guitar, and he did a brief solo and brought the roof down on this song. And speaking of "singing" for someone, if I'm not mistaken, this one was for Barry's wife. Thanks for your reaction.
Great, great song, so good sung by Barry. And in the chorus, together with Rob'n Mo, it gets to perfection. All three of them are genius songwriters and singers. Baz'n especially Mo also very good instrumentalists. Tell'ya one thing, the more you're divin' into their art of music, the more you're gonna be surprised of their ability, to match really every genre music has to offer. And in many comments you're gonna read things like "Robin has the best vocals" or 'Maurice is the one" and "Barry is keeper of my heart forever". Truth is, equality reigns! No Gibb over the other. The real magic is the three of them. So please to react to 'Words' (leadvocals Barry), 'And The Sun Will Shine' (Robin) and 'Trafalgar' (Maurice).
My sentiments exactly!! Yes, Robin's unique and heart-melting; Mo is such a gifted musician and so sexy; Barry is THE MAN-- but they are three together incomparable, over-the-moon legendary, and beloved as all-get-out. When Barry goes, I don't think I could get over it. No more Bee Gees sharing our earthly space.
Words is I think, my favorite of their songs. On To Love Somedody on the record you'll hear somebody hit a really high at the end of the song. After they sing "to love Somebody to love Somebody, the way I love you." Mo chimes in with the really high "OH, no. You don't know what it's like." Mo could hit the high notes right along with the other two. He just didn't get as much credit.
The Bee Gees wrote many country songs. Check out “Rest Your Love On Me”. Also They wrote for Kenny Rogers, “Islands In The Stream”. Their were many more but these were wonderful. Great reaction as always today. Love your reactions.
This is the song that was requested by their manager to be written for Marvin Gaye- took Barry 2 hours to write it after the request was made. Remarkable
Barry said out of all the songs he wrote this is his favorite. You need to go back and watch the original video of this song to see them , super young. They had hits in the 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’s. The song in the 90’s To Whom The Bell Tolls. And their voices hadn’t changed. There’s a song Barry sings by his self WORDS he wrote for his wife Linda
This entire concert is fun, I have it on dvd and still watch it. I openly admit that ROBIN is my Bee Gee (we all have our favorite lol) and would encourage you to look into songs where he sings lead. With that said I recommend you check out WORDS from this same concert. Barry sings this pretty much alone and you will see how he reacts with the audience and they with him, plus it's a beautiful song and has been covered by many artists including Elvis. FYI....their first number one hit was Spicks And Specks in Australia and they heard about it on the boat relocating back to Britain. They get back to Britain and nobody had ever heard of them LOL The Bee Gees rabbit-hole is a blast!
You should listen to Keith Urban doing this song in a tribute to the BeeGees. He changes it up a bit, but it is beautiful- and his guitar solo is amazing. In that same tribute Celine Dion does Immortality which was very moving as Barry had lost 3 brothers and she had lost her husband and brother by then.
To tell you about the quality of character in the Gibb brothers: Barry Gibb had said they also gave the song to Bee Gees manager Robert Stigwood for his birthday. It wasn't meant in a homosexual way, but with a sense of deep gratitude for all that Stigwood had done for the brothers. Stigwood, who was "like an uncle," has said it was his favorite song by them.
Their music just touches your heart! Anybody can relate! Watch Fanny be tender with my love! It's an older song but it will blow you away , it's when men talked to women not at them!
Great reaction like always. to love somebody was their second single released in 1967. They wrote beautiful love songs even when they were very young. A beautiful song to react to from their early days is How do you mend a broken heart. It was written after they got back together after being apart for 18 months when Robin left the group in 1969.
They first recorded this in the 60’s before the disco era. One of my favorites from that same era is “Massachusetts”. Please give it a listen. No disappointment.
I actually prefer the Bee Gees before the disco era of the mid to late 70's, I never really got into it. This song was released in 1967 ( yes showing my age now lol ) 60's and 70's was their best to me.
This song was written in 1967 for Otis Redding. Sadly he died in a planecrash before he could record it. So they recorded it themselves and released on their first UK album called 1'st. It has become their most covered song by others artists. Artists like Tom Jones, Michael Bolton, Michael Buble, Bonnie Tyler, Kim Carnes, Janis Joplin and many more. There has been released more than 200 covers of this.
They did write To Love Somebody for Otis, but then decided to 1st record it themselves, for their album “Bee Gees 1st” (recorded March-April 1967). They released it as a single June 1967. Otis died approx 6 months later, Dec. 10, 1967. I saw an interview where they said Otis did hear it & liked it, & they understood he intended to later cover it, but he died before that happened).
This was years before Robyn suggested Barry sing in falcetto on most of their songs. They were approached for Saturday Night Fever and adapted amazingly to disco era to stay current for the times, they said in an interview years later. No one like them before or since.
You should definitely watch the video of them singing it when it was released. Prob mid to late 60’s. It’s really special. Barry has said this is probably his favorite song. It’s fun to see them so young!
His album Greenfields that came out in 2021 was Barry doing duets with famous country artists. You should check it out. He wrote this song for Otis Redding who died before he could record it, so they did, back in the late 60s. The fact that it has been covered by so many people since then speaks to how good it is. But the Bee Gees did it best.
I'm glad you're going back in time as the Bee Gees have had many great songs pre-disco days. I suggest, Run to me To love somebody(1967 video) How can you mend a broken heart
Love, love, love the BeeGees. Indeed, a touching song, beautiful lyrics and sweet vocals. Grabs you right by the heart. Great reaction video, Mr. Texas Love. You rock, mister. 💖💖💖🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Such a beautiful song!! This was written and recorded in 1967. The original version is of young Bee Gees singing this. Love the Bee Gees!! Great reaction!!

Hey Texas Love. Sending Love from North of the Red River. Oklahoma...what would happen if Barbara Streisand and Barry Gibb..made an album..oh wait it happened. Please react to "Guilty"..Barry also wrote a song , and Kenny Rogers bought it..Kenny brought in a gal..Uh Dolly,..uh..Dolly Parton..the song was ..Islands in the stream..think it did well..lol. Bless the Brothers Gibb!
Here’s some 1960 BeeGees songs to listen to: Words New York mining disaster I started a joke I gotta get a message to you Lonely days Massachusetts How can you mend a broken heart 💔 My world World. Some amazing music from the 60s❤

Last song with the brothers
ALONE.
This was written by the Bee Gees for Otis Reading but died just before he could sing it so they made it their own
They wrote this in 1967. It was a big hit back then
They had so many amazing songs it's hard to pick one as a favourite. I always loved this song, Words, I've Gotta Get A Mess.age to You. No auto tune - just pure talent. Oh and I love your reactions. Nobody writes timeless love songs like the Bee Gees. ❤
Love the ending. Loved seeing you react.
❤❤ your dad is special to me
Watch their 1967 video of this song.... you'll get to hear Mo's falsetto! IMO it's the best version of the song 1967
VERY GOOD!! REACT MADDLEY BEE GEES LIVE MELBORE 1989..
Amazing talented men
This was early Bee Gees, Their standard was always great, regardless of the era. Their music has stood the test of time.
Although I love all of the concert videos of the Bee Gees I have to say that you're doing yourself a great diservice by mostly watching those later concerts. Someone mentioned you look like Stephen Gibb! Barry's eldest son. It's a real compliment because Stephen is so cute😁
Barry is still married yo his beauty queen

He recorded the album Greenfield s. He sings with many different singers. But all Bee Gee hits

You should watch the live from the 60s of this one. Mo does some belting in falsetto near the end.
I almost don't go a day without listening to the Bee Gees. Can't say that about any other group They were so special. Just legends.
This is one of their really early 60s hits. Have a look at it in black and white!
For a real treat, go back and find their 1967 black and white performance of this song. It's the best!
Agreed!
I agree, the earlier version is even better. Keith Urban performed this song at the Bee Bee tribute a while back. It was incredible. 😊
Barry was recently inducted into the country music Hall of Fame. He has written many many very famous country songs for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers and many others.
Barry was a romantic man Robin Spiritual and Maurice was there right in the middle a little of both ❤❤❤
This song is timeless and was written and recorded before the “disco” era! 😊
Please do I Started a Joke featuring Robin singing and from the 1960s.
The look of surrender on your face with that harmony at thee end Lol . Keep them coming - Great reaction
😃Thank you!
You need to watch the documentary How Do You Mend a Broken Heart on HBO. You will learn a lot about the boys!
Love ❤️ your reaction to the BeeGees. They are my favorite group. Thank you for sharing
I never realized that before. They are always talking to someone. It really draws you into their emotions.
they first recorded this in 1967 when they were still teenagers
This is an old song that predates the disco era. I believe this dates back to the late 60's
They're the Greatest band of all time !
I love how the Bee Gees can create a community of people from ALL walks of life. EVERYBODY becomes enthralled with them. Thats their magic.
I like you as a reactor. And you play some great music.
There's a great BeeGees song that features Maurice who always let the light shinecon Barry and Robin. It's calked Man in the Middle. About being a peacemaker and also about his addiction to alcohol. It's one of my favorites.

They wrote this when they were in their twenties
The Bee Gees wrote many country songs. Check out “Rest Your Love On Me”. Also They wrote for Kenny Rogers, “Islands In The Stream”. Their were many more but these were wonderful. Great reaction as always today. Love your reactions.
@kdavis9943 Actually they initially wrote Islands in the Stream for Diana Ross.
This is the song that was requested by their manager to be written for Marvin Gaye- took Barry 2 hours to write it after the request was made. Remarkable
Their LIVE shows were as Spectacular if not better than the recordings.
he is doing country now,he loves it!
Great reaction!! Please react to this old Bee Gees classic. New York mining disaster, 1941. Thanks!
bee gees angela
I love your insights. Great reaction

The bee gees had some beautiful love songs and sounds so good
This song came out in 1967. I think it’s one of the most beautiful songs ever, the lyrics are amazing❤
They are so good..they comfort me in hard times..💖💖💖
The greatest ever❤❤❤
Gegy from Milan Italy
I like the 1967 version and video best...Mo does his high falsetto ( and a shoulder roll!)

Mine was Barry.
I like the song Man in the middle written by Maurice and lead singer In the 90s
I read an article that sales of older music is up, compared to current music.
Please react to BEEGEES MEDLEY 1989

We did that one a month or two ago, great song! Killer vocals!
They also write songs to each other. Three brothers butt heads often. But Barry will say, they wrote songs to each other in mind.
This is from the ‘60s ❤
Great reaction like always. to love somebody was their second single released in 1967. They wrote beautiful love songs even when they were very young. Yeah the disco era was only a very small part of their career...they had many hits pre and post disco
They first recorded this in the 60’s before the disco era.
One of my favorites from that same era is “Massachusetts”. Please give it a listen. No disappointment.
Loved that, hadnt seen that vid..cheers Tex

Miss your Bee Gees reactions, Texas Love. Hope you’re doing well.
They wrote over 1000 songs. They had 100 top ten by numerous artist.
This was years before Robyn suggested Barry sing in falcetto on most of their songs. They were approached for Saturday Night Fever and adapted amazingly to disco era to stay current for the times, they said in an interview years later. No one like them before or since.

I just found this. Love it

Barry does a duet w/Barbara Streisand entitled Guilty. Do the live version.
I am new to your channel. If you really want to get to know their personality, do a reaction video on a interview with Michael Parkinson. It’s about 20 minutes when they are younger you see all three of them. Then a great great song is Fanny Be Tender with my Love….pay close attention to who is singing the high parts. 7:50 7:50 😊 7:50 😮
Barry's falsetto is good, but I appreciate a song with his chest voice.
Listen to Faithfully by Journey with Steve Perry. That's a great love song written for the wives and girlfriends at the time.
Beautiful lyrics. Robin imo has the best vocals ❤
