- This apartment is amazing - its in a small boutique luxury building that only has 14 units but the worst thing about it is you cannot rent this place! Its got great views and 2 balconies, sort of. Let me know what you think of this amazing NYC Apartment.

He said the apartment 'is super useable'
Why would an apartment not be? He lost me there lol
@@Smart_Think you didnt watch some of the gnarlier places cash has shown on this channel....
Killer apartment, especially for NY, but damn, the NY prices never cease to amaze me.
It’s Brooklyn
OTOH, $5500 a month for rent probably just about covers a 30 year fixed mortgage on the $1.3M purchase price. Or at least it did, before interest rates started going up.
@@wayneguy6043 Brooklyn is in New York, right?
@@MrJest2 Yeah, like I said, for New York this is a killer place and actually seems like a decent price. But compared to where I live (Oregon), you could get a 4,000 sq/ft house on property for that price. It's all relative, I suppose. The price you pay to live in the Empire state.
First time commenting, Cash. This one hit home for me but not to buy or rent. My father was born in 1920 in Williamsburg, which for so many years was call the @#$hole of Brooklyn. He lived on Gerry street in a three room railroad car apt with his folks. His older siblings grew up there. The second they could they moved out and away. He told me stories which if you watched Avalon you would understand. In 1974 when i was 12 and my brother 17 he wanted to show us where he grew up. He had a business down the street from the Navy yards. No cabdriver would go anywhere near Williamsburg. It was still the ….. of Brooklyn. Jump forward to when Williamsburg started gentrification. He just shook his head and thought of how much that tenement was probably sold for and what it was worth about 16 years ago when he passed. My brother lives a block away from the Brooklyn promenade and he went back to Gerry street to see. No new apartments but almost an entire block of stores, mostly food. Sorry for the length, but to me even through the newness, I can still hear the stories he told when you rode a horse and carriage and had to go to the outside for the toilet. So thank you for the Williamsburg tours.
You win best comment for this one . I love this .
Today Williamsburg is a great area in Brooklyn. Amazing how times change, thanks for the little piece of history. I love looking at old images of different neighborhoods and how much they’ve developed, your father got to experience it himself before passing. I’m sure he’d be AMAZED at how Brooklyn looks now. I moved out a few years ago and can’t believe how Brooklyn looks.
Wow, then what was considered nice areas in Brooklyn back in the day?
Prompted**
@@johnjohn40100 Probably Brooklyn heights and Cobble hill. WB was never as bad as East NY, Brownsville or Bedstuy etc.
That was so nice of you Cash to move his bike wheel out of the road!😁
I thought so too.
Cash, Regarding bike safety...wondering if you know about Break Free? It is amazing. It attaches to the back of your helmet and automatically lights up bright red when you slow and stop...no wires.
That is cool idea for cash & charles
What an awesome unit. Just the park by your front door is already amazing add to that a brand new / fancy looking apartment!
Buy it, Cash!!
You would have so much fun with Violet in the park. Or you’d have plenty of space for your growing family.
cash is just out here grinding making videos and working and is definitely inspirational. Everytime I watch I appreciate the little things he says and how much he tries and has improved in both his editing and videos but also just making great content. I dont ever plan to move to new york yet I watch Cash's videos everyday. Not sure why but I love it. Maybe because I am an architectural engineer and fascinated with NYC but mostly because cash is the absolute man and inspires me to work harder and do more
It's a perfect apartment, if I had the money of course. Lots of light and in a great neighbourhood.
I'm blown away, over 300,000 🎉 Please bring the maps back ♥
At 3.32 I LOVE the glare of the guy you outed for W-ing FH at the park:)
This apartment is more than basic, with some higher-end fixtures, in-unit laundry and an elevator. It's new, and it's light and bright. The location across from the park is great, though it may be a hike to the subway. It only has one bathroom, and you get to it via the living room. The balcony is accessed only from one of the bedrooms. If the architect had been better at his craft, this place would have been closer to perfect.
You also share the balcony, which for over a million dollars...nah.
@@healinggrounds19 No. The balcony is private. The escape, which is not a balcony, but some may use it as that, is shared.
I’m just watching the intro and this apartment is perfect!
Hmm... buying at $1.3M isn't too bad. Renting at $5500/month is something to think more about. I like it though! The layout was well thought out! I love that view of the park and the unit's proximity to it. Very nice tour!
So you would spend 1.3 million but NOT 5500 a month? Both are outragious, but you obviosly dont undestand the concept of money.
@@aaronpatterson2369 Depends on the interest on the loan. In Sweden, it's beneficial to buy instead of renting, but I don't know the interest rates in NYC.
Yeah, if you're an athlete!🙄🥴
@@Pro09video the interest rate current is at least 5.5% so you’re paying $6k a month in interest alone. There’s probably a $1.5k a month HOA fee. So you’re paying $7.5k a month and $250k down your first year living there. If the neighborhoods crime goes up you just lost $500k
Favorite apartment so far. Love location building layouts balconies so on and on. 1.3k sounds alot but for great 2 bed according to your videos it's great. Always better to buy why pay someone else's mortgage. Depending on your credit could work out to be just couple hundred more to buy monthly also depending if u don't have to pay the HOH monthly if renting. Well done Mr. Jordan. 62 years old so dream of living in NYC is gone but hope to visit within the year! Love your posts.
In DC you see places like this in Alexandria, or Rockville. It has to be super fab to overcome the hassle of that train ride.
I have one question, maybe I didn't notice while watching this but, if the elevator opens directly into the apartment, what happens if the elevator is out of service? How do you vacate your apartment, or can you? Is there another door that leads outside where you can walk down? 🤔
There was a fire escape door on the balcony.
The shared balcony with the rubbish chute had the emergency door. It is illegal in most places to have only one method of egress.
I wondered that too,when they 1st walked in.I was distracted after..Good question.
Imagine its 3am and the elevator pings in your apartment and the doors slowly open.
Loved your face when he said the price for the rental, like, whatever man, fair enough, we know the drill, quiet desperation?
Thank you for sharing your tour here.
Trash chute out on the balcony = good idea.
Elevator that opens directly into the apartment = I'm not too sure. Who else uses that elevator. Can I lock the elevator door, or is that a fire code violation?
Floor to ceiling windows EVERYWHERE = Hmmm ... nice but, there's gotta be someplace where I can walk around in my underwear in my own home.
Am I ready to spend $1.3 Mil for that Brooklyn apartment? = Probably no.
Also, with that many windows, there is very little room for hanging up artwork, putting up book shelves, etc.
My understanding is that with buildings that have private elevator an entry a key, swipe card, code or some even fingerprint is required before you can access either the elevator door itself or that level. Some units also have a secure door that can be locked or a gate (think of the old style manned elevator). If someone were to somehow make it to your floor but those were locked they still would be unable to gain entry. I'm not sure if that was the case for these units as it went by too closely for me to see.
Also - $1.3 Million for an apartment on the G line. It doesn't run well. And the transfer options are pretty lousy too.
I swam in the Williamsburg pool, the week it opened! They gave little lunch packs to the kids, and the pool was lovely.
Cash, you should buy this apartment. Kanami would love it. This apartment would be great for Violet and soon to be here new baby 😍🥰
I have a feeling Cash has a plan on what he will do or is already doing in terms of his living and long-term housing situation and he doesn’t share that info with his audience, or take advice from them. Could be wrong though.
Gorgeous place! Love in unit laundry!
That is a really nice apartment.I like the balcony. That’s really nice you don’t have no one next to you. ThanksCash.
Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t want an elevator door that opened right into my apartment…
Margaret please report them i am pissed off with people stealing identities on the internet
@@maddalena5708 That’s the 3rd one I’ve reported this morning!
Ok, I wrote a mail to the real estate agent featured because this video is full of comments from this whatsapp guy..
I came to comment the exact same thing
For a million + I don't want to hump a buncha stairs to get to the elevator... If I had a million this would never be my choice.
Love all the light. Hopefully there's some kind of window treatment for cutting down the heat. My bedroom in my 122 year old house is bigger than the living room.
Wow! Another great listing. The price is excellent and you should actually buy this one Cash 😁
Cash....beautiful apartment.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE the windows. Wow and the kitchen and layout are right on. If I had the money to buy it I seriously would consider moving up there and doing so. The balconies are great too. But those windows and views are awesome. Thanks sooooo much. Take care.
Love the apartment, it has a nice vibe to it that I feel. My only issse is the shower stall in the first bathroom. I am not a small man, so I think the shower would be too small for me to use, so if I bought the unit, I would have the bathroom redone and replace the tub with a large shower stall. That's the only thing I'd change. My other issue is car parking/storage; where and how much is it?
I like how light & bright the apartment is but that comes at a cost bcuz of all the windows in small bedrooms. Furniture placement will be difficult unless you're a minimalist & just have beds. Only 1 bathroom? I would have expected more for the price you're paying. Yes it's across from a fabulous park but...
Fantastic place , not too high up,, Great windows, nice laundry units, and outdoor space!
I don't think that you quite get it yet, Cash. Two kids in that apt would not be as adequate as you may think right now. On cold or rainy days when kids are more inclined to be in the house all day, houses can become smaller and smaller in a very short time. If your going to splash for something that expensive, I suggest you take it into the suburbs a little more and get a bigger place overall with a back yard!!😅😃
you’re
Agreed as someone with 3 kids I completely understand- you wouldn’t want to get stuck in a apartment with screaming kids and an annoyed spouse no matter how fancy the apartment is!!
@@EastSide-qc5oy You'RE correct!!! Unforgiveable. I'm usually better than that. Can we blame it on old age? I use that as an excuse for everything. Some would say, I should know better because I am so old. But that is for another day!😂 thank you
I found your channel based on shorts. Good job. I know you are based in NY but would love to hear take on different areas outside of city.
i like the kitchen and the bathroom . i like the fact that , it's got a washer and a dryer as well :)
That place is gorgeous, and that bathroom is awesome. The bedroom would need some curtains, but that place is a win. (Still could never afford it, but all the same.)
Edit: Scratch that; the two bedrooms have pull down shades. Though, I'd still want something that shades the light further.)
Coffee with Cash, Good morning, have a good day Cash.
This is a typical Condo in downtown Toronto Canada that was built about 20 years ago when floor-to-ceiling windows were in fashion, honestly, they are a pain in the arse and make furniture placement difficult and flood your bedroom with unwanted light in the morning, no matter what type of blinds you have. Not to mention these type of window casings have just under an inch ledge before the glass (they are not flush with the window frame) so you have to clean them constantly.
Yes its a nice place but its not really nice or special
These rent stabilized apartments are great for those hard working people who keep Manhattan running at all times of the day, hopefully more of these are being built!
These are not rent stabilized apartments. I’m not sure what would give you that idea.
I like watching videos like this where they show case apartments and talk about the price( e.g. new york apartment 4,000+ for small 2 bedroom), it makes me appreciate my 3 bedroom 1 bath private back yard and front my own driveway etc. for 800 a month more 😂
Sweet place! You know you've made it when you have a (semi) private elevator and I like the emergency exit 2nd balcony design never seen that before in NY.
Nice! love the neighbourhood -at 3:22p guy in the background wasn't looking too happy tho 🙃
You go to all my neighborhood, this is my old one, still nice to see. Pizza place is the best and all the restaurants are amazing. Great to see this apartment I walk past it before
@ 2:43, Cash those are HANDBALL
Courts, though people will use them for practicing racquetball and for tennis
Nice place! I don't know why they have a tub with shower AND a shower in the same bathroom. It looks like it's set up for a male couple. I say that because the hangers in the larger bedroom are half-height, which doesn't work so well if you're female and have things like dresses and coats to hang.
Great apartment and layout which happens to be by one of the nicer parks in Williamsburg. Good luck if you have to wait on mass transit to get around though...because the G train comes as often as an full moons each month lol. Best to let Uber be your friend, travel by bus, get an Ebike like Cash or have a car. But, with soooo much to do in that area you may not have to leave the neighborhood much for activities. And on an unrelated note Greg and Cash look like they could be brothers...they have an uncanny resemblance. Carry On...
awesome layout , beautiful color choices and appointments
This is a very livable unit, with all the windows letting in a lot of light. Ample storage too, which is a huge plus. That wrap around balcony is a nice touch. I'd say the price isn't too bad for what you're getting
The windows are very old though. The kind of windows from the 70s with these handles.
A sexy Apartment 😍 . Cash you are a good neighbor , & you are right the G (formerly GG) mostly sucks . I love that park. A Manhattan feeling in a Brooklyn Apartment , nice .
Definitely one of my favorite living spaces. Great investment apportunity.
Good morning cash! Don't get me wrong but there are things that a like and dislike about this apartment. One is the elevator going in to the apartment is scary never know who might rob your apartment. What happens if the elevator breaks down! it's a fire in the apartment!
like the rooms glad it has a washer and dryer in the unit. There is a park and places to eat.
The price is too high for me. I wonder one day hopefully in this market they can reduce the prices on some of these apartments
Ever hear of punctuation?
@@mrsbluesky8415 Sorry typing so fast.
Hey Cash, you were in my neck of the woods! Only live a few blocks away but hate to break it to ya but you were in Greenpoint and NOT Williamsburg even tho the border line wasn’t too far away from the building and yes I agree GP has a lot of food options lol.
Williamsburg was a rough spot for a long time. As early as the 1970s The artists came looking for studio space and cheap digs. The gentrifiers followed, squeezing out the original residents and the artists. Now it is "Brooklyn USA." However the building you showed is well done and somewhat affordable by today's standards. Today when the artists show up, the cry goes up, "There goes the neighborhood."
This is 4 Sure Gonna B so Good CJ🔥🔥🔥👍….
6:20 A tub and a standing shower? Shut up and take my money!
8:28 poor place for an outlet. Thats my only complaint.
Some paint on the walls to give it some life so it doesnt look like a padded cell and this place would be good. I wonder what will the monthly charges will be on the 1.3 mil apartment
Nice place, the area looks really nice, calm and peaceful
Cash Jordan is so nice straightening some one bike so it. Won’t get hit
Very very nice. I have seen other listings for a million and they were old and had only one window. This place is nice. Loved the video and loved the area of the apartment. Cash it's time to buy a home while your child is young. They need back yards and swings. Bye See ya
This is the first time I've seen an elevator lead directly into an apartment, isn't that a serious safety concern?
I had a loft. The elevator opened directly to it. It was locked, as any entry door. There was a staircase. Lots of high end places have this.
No. Your key only allows entry into your place. Just like you can't get to floor 4 with your floor 3 key.
The neighborhood looks great
Absolutely fantastic apartment and price is excellent
the closet in the bedroom omg WOW now that's a great closet :)
I guess everything in NYC is going to be grey now too bad because the brownstones have stood the test of time and they have so much character and in my humble opinion looks better. I like the layout of the apartments but those prices. I'm not spending a million on a apartment that you still have to kick out for upkeep.
“Is it real pumpkin, or pumpkin flavoring” You Just Went Off LOL😂
ouuuuuuuu...an elevator!....with a price. kick @ss apartment ❤ yes the elevator takes you to ur right into the apartment,. but there is an emergency exit door/fire stairs on the balcony where the trash chute is ...u get out there thru the "secret door" at the end of the hall by the 2nd. bed........Great building design!!! only 2 units per floor & then the penthouse.
Nassau G train is Greenpoint, almost as cool as Williamsburg, but the condo looks like Williamsburg.
Nice condo and great staging.
Hi Cash, good music today 🤗💖
Cash, you've got enough money to buy this place, it's gorgeous.
I love that you shit on DD and I’m surprised you haven’t gotten any small coffee company sponsors yet
Man, Williamsburg has CHANGED since I lived in Brooklyn.
Had a good time Cash.😊
Perhaps I missed it, but if the only way into the apartment is via an elevator, what do you use if there is no power or a fire?
Valid concern. I bet the building has a generator or a backup power source of some kind. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have ever passed building inspections and permits. There has to be a fire exit somewhere as well.
There is a shared emergency staircase on the shared balcony where the rubbish chute is. There is no way a new flat would pass any inspection without a second means of egress.
Hey leave my DD alone!!!!! It's real coffee ☕️!!! ❤️ from Boston, MA.😇🥰
Really cool apartment. Love the huge windows!!
Interesting. Tub shower combo AND a separate shower. Very nice.
Exactly
I'm proud of you, hopefully you make a million subscribers!
My definition of a basic flat or apartment is one that has subsidised rent. I'm paying £327 a month for mine in England (about US$375). Granted this one is much nicer and is bigger.
Seriously? You obviously don’t live in Cambridge!! A room in Cambridge in a shared house would cost at least £700 a month
@@doriswaddington2418 I live about 60 miles away from Cambridge!
@@mattw8332 How much do you spend on the commute?
@@653j521 A commute is only around £10-15 a week as I live close to where I work.
Anytime I see a kitchen island in NYC I am immediately impressed. That's where my standards have gone down to.
That’s probably the best way to describe the subway ‘you’ll eventually get there when it’s not delayed’
That guy eyeballing you are the java popup was hilarious!!!
Is there anyone in New York City that can design an apt. With the door leading to the balcony from the living space not the bedroom
You have to go to the New Jersey side for that.
Yes, a lot of older coops have must better design than these newer ones.
Never knew McCarren Park existed when visiting my “babcia” back in the early {70s. My dad made sure to by pass it as it was a place to play 😢
Not gonna lie for 1.3 thats not too bad. That being said what's the building fees looking like.
wonder how window treatment works-going back to rest of presentation. do i spy something at top of windows? and what do you do with glass door...
When he was saying the price was 1.295, I was thinking $1,295/month. Didn’t realize it was $1.295 million.
wrong! I’d want a range hood
where the (unwanted!) microwave is.
Nice apartment. Thanks for sharing it.
Buy THAT one Cash! It would be perfect for your family! You would have the park across the street too!
I like this, so much room and storage plus a balcony with a lot more privacy than most Apts. Wonder what the monthly fees are ?
My friends Grandma and Aunt live In NYC in the buildings around the block from Port authority. 3 bedrooms and they are grandfathered in rent control and only pay $579 buck. When he told me that I couldn’t believe it so they keep it in the family when someone is born they go on the lease to keep the apartment.
Nice one but too small for me, however that park is amazing, the track field, the pool, really nice!
An additional bath, or ay least half bath would make this the perfect apartment. Wait a minute: a soaker tub and I'd be over the moon. But it's pretty darned sweet as-is!. It seems seems to be be a good price, but I think I'd rather buy than pay $5500 monthly. Two things I may have missed: Are there monthly condo fees, and how long would the commute to Manhatten take? Anyone?
Awesome location. You pay also for the new building features. I wonder how much the hoa is monthly.
the balcony is great :)
I have to hand it to him ,,,he said the price with a straight face lol lol
I love this place.
I really like. Looked at something very close to this in Albuquerque five years ago that was going for $320G's. Likely it would go for $500G's now or so. Mind you, this is house land out here.
The old neighborhood is not old anymore lol oh I remember those days of playing handball in McCarren Park what a Time to be alive.
1.3 mil plus maintenance of 1500 -2,000+ monthly and property taxes.Whats the monthly maintenance? It would be nice if Cash could include the monthly fees on the co-ops for sale in NYC. Very few condos in NYC.
Outside trash chute in a new building? Cool! It's a special apartment in a special part of town. The stores at Manhattan Ave and Nassau Ave have changed a lot over the years. I do know the Pizza Prince has been there a long time, it was renovated about 10 or 15 years ago and that was the last time I was around there.. McCarren Park is big. Blank Street Coffee is all over, what is the deal with that, still costs an arm and a leg like Starbucks so I don't get it.
For the longest time an apartment where the rent/ purchase cost seems appropriate 🇬🇧
