    I can confidently say...WITH confidence that Cash wants a hammock BECAUSE some if not all the videos I've seen he's said the words 'you could put a hammock out here' or some type of variant, but more importantly 13/10 video an extra point for toying with the intercom, a point for the use of the word snazzy, and a third for thinking that tiny room can be an interrogation room + the amount of emphasis you put on 'for your hostages' and lastly; great video as always Cash

    A lot of possibilities with this unit. I think for me personally, I'd want to split it with just one other person. You can't really use that pass through to the backyard as a bedroom, nor would I want to sleep below the flood line in the basement. Both of those rooms would make nice offices though. The outdoor space is a definite plus, and a parking space! That's nearly unheard of. I would definitely rent this place

    My greatest fear is to rent a property like this, fill it up with furniture and then have the landlord jack up the rent when the lease is renewed. If I have to move, what do I do with all of the furniture? It's doubtful that I could afford another property this size in NYC. I don't do roommates. It's not a townhouse if it has multiple units. You can call it a townhouse all you want (the same way you call a five story walk-up a "penthouse"), but as long as there are more than one rentable units, it's still an apartment, despite having been built originally for one family.

      @@brianogden9723 No need to be rude. I'm just pointing out deceptive language realtors and landlords use to upsell mediocre apartments, which even you provided a good example of. Another example is describing an apartment unit that has a kitchenette and no living room as "open concept". Those apartments only exist that way because greedy landlords divided the building into as many units as possible to maximize profit. Those types of botched units didn't exist when the buildings were originally built many decades over. And let's not even get started on the cost of rent for these monstrosities. Cash's videos are fun to watch, but as someone who has apartment-hunted in nyc, I am tired of that language.

    It is amazing what is considered "affordable" or "cheap" in NYC and its different neighborhoods. I am a country mouse in PA, and I found the grocery prices that were being called out as cheap incredibly high! The rent for this place $4k?! a steal and super affordable?!! 😳🤯 I get it, cities are very expensive, and NYC is is probably one of the most expensive cities in the eastern USA. I understand that roommates each sharing the overall cost does make it easier to afford. I watch these videos, and see what little you get for the huge price, and laugh as I sit here in my 4000sq ft home on 6 acres and pay a fraction of the rent of any one of these places, even if the city place is divided amongst roommates. It is very interesting to see these places! I think I will remain a country mouse 🐁. 🙂

    Perhaps it's due to the gray day, but this place is depressing to me. It's an old building jacked up to be modern, but it has no warmth. The room in the basement with the small window can't really be defined as a bedroom because no one could escape out that window in an emergency. Also, how are the bars affixed on the windows? Can they be unlocked in an emergency or have they been soldered onto the structure? The downstairs is in the basement of the building; too much risk of flooding in the basement to make this a usable space. The laundry for the building is one washer and one dryer with an old sink and is right outside one of the unit's basement rooms. Be sure there are good locks on that door so no one wanders into your space by mistake or intentionally. Each unit is separately metered so add those costs to the monthly rent. This is not a townhouse. It's a two floor apartment (one floor of which is in the basement) in a multi-unit building. Bars on windows usually indicate an iffy neighborhood safety-wise. This one is a hard "no" for me.

  • @donnaw3026
    @donnaw3026 2 роки тому +3

    If you don’t have a car put a patio table and potted trees out there. Backyard use raised beds for flowers and vegetables. Play ball with the dog.
    Don’t make the room with backyard exit a bedroom make it a family room. The bedroom with long narrow closet is virtually useless. No storage for even one season of clothes at the back of that closet.

    There's a lot of square footage here! Big kitchen/dining area upstairs and a big living area down. Three legitimate bedrooms with their own bathrooms is a great find, though one of them is the access to a usable back yard. The downstairs is a questionable bedroom - that window may not qualify for egress and you have the noise from the heating system and the adjacent laundry room. It could be a great work-from-home space. Even divided just three ways (not quite equally) the rent is surprisingly affordable for many working people, and four ways it's a bargain.

    It seems like a a very reasonable price for all you get. You would have to figure out when to use laundry so it don't interfere with the other two rentals. That shouldn't be a big problem. Back yard space could be used as a play area for a child or children. It look like the neighbor next door has kids. With some safety gates up on the inside stairs would been a great apartment for your family. That room leading to the outside yard could been used as a playroom for rainy or cold days. A place to park a car. I know it is probably already rented.
