Hi Chris. You asked if you missed anything. imho you missed demonstrating why Ventoy is so easy to use: just dropping ISO or IMG files in Ventoy's partition without the need to do anything else!
Just install a random distro using virtual box, copy that vhd file to ventoy and make your tests. VHD and QCOW are just fancy img with snapshot support.
I actually had to make & use one of these yesterday to reinstall Windows 11 1 thing I notice most people overlook is when setting up the USB in ventoy, there's a tool option in the top left of the window to turn on or off support for secure boot if you don't you'll have to go into the BIOS and turn off secureboot if done correctly a padlock icon will show in USB setup in ventoy 🤷🏻♂️👍🏼✌🏼
Can you do a specific video on installing themes and making Ventoy persistent. There are NO English videos on these subjects. Your teaching style is top-quality so to do such a video will make the UA-cam algorithm go crazy!!! Thanks for your incredible channel. 👍🏾
I am so glad I found out about Ventoy, No longer do I need to have multiple USB's for Windows and Linux Distroes, now I can have every distro and even different language windows for easy installations on friends PCs!
I have used Ventoy in the past, it was bit quirky then. It's nice to see it maturing, and the hard drive support is awesome to see! Thanks for the video Chris.
I've been using Ventoy for just shy of a year and it is as Chris says...AWESOME! Being able to just copy ISO files to you thumb drive and boot them is fantastic. Unless something doesn't work with Ventoy, I don't make bootable drives with Rufus or Etcher anymore.
I made a ventoy drive about 6 months ago(by far easiest way to get a windows installer on linux). I did not realize they added features. I'm about to make a new one. Awesome video. Thanks CTT!
Just about every single "superuser" type subject I've come across lately you cover on your channel. Really appreciate you & this blackhole of super useful knowledge =) This ventoy drive is gonna save me lots of time & heartache.

I still prefer paragon for disk partition and management, you don't need to backup data to manage partitions, your best option if you don't have time to backup. But the golem rule: always backup still apply.
The only thing I don’t like about ventoy is that it seems to not want to detect and boot from vhd files and the lack of a folder system can make having lots of isos pretty annoying. What I do to get around this is I use ventoy to boot into grubfm to then boot from my vhds.(No idea if vhd booting has been added or not as I haven’t checked in a few months) Also grubfm can also patch and boot into winpe just from a windows setup iso which might be useful.
This looks good. I'll give it a try and see if I can free up a few USB sticks. By the looks of it I can use this to multiboot between different ISOs and tools like Gparted, WinRE and Clonezilla on a single USB.

Right now for Macs only something called Refind flashdrive is supposed to work, no instructions and reliability about it given though. And you have to pre-create partitions for each iso if I understood it correctly.
Well I was a big fan of Ventoy until I just tried to update it and there was an error which resulted in the USB becoming corrupt and wiped all my ISO files.
I have yet t get Ventoy to work on any of my systems. Once I select the ISO, all a get is a blank screen and a flashing cursor. Have tried BIOS in UEFI and Legacy Mode, same results. Secure boot is disabled. Haven't been able to find any answers.

It truly is a great tool, but 1 issue I am having with ventoy is it doesnt like any changes to its disk structure, so no extra partitions on the usb drive are tolerated, I put it on a 2TB usb3 and as I use clonezilla as a universal backup tool, I'd rather it write the image it to a different partition on the same disk formatted as NTFS for obvious reasons -- it would be perfect if it could allow for an extra partition @ setup for now it means I carry a thumb drive and the 2TB drive around with me as the ventoy partition appears to be read--only after launching clonezilla
How can I boot an ISO made for BIOS to boot on UEFI systems? I could not manage to have Ventoy solve that. I have a bunch of really good boot utility ISOs that are old and won’t boot on newer UEFI systems.
