I love the contrast between Cassandra and Charles in the films. Whenever Charles shows up, there is a sense of calmness and security, almost as if everything is well and handled when he arrives. Cassandra is the opposite as every scene she shows up in despite her short runtime is filled with tension and unpredictability.
In the comics, Charles and Cassandra are literally Yin and Yang where the first thing she did was try to strangle him inside their mom's womb.
Charles was forced to take Cassandra out but she survived.
Cassandra: Surprise 😯: You Betrayed Deadpool!
Just like the contrast between Superman and Homelander
@@rexlumontad5644She tried to do that in the MCU too! I also think she is quite a funny character.
@@ItsIcedDonut True. Cassandra even references about why she's born evil when Deadpool question her insanity and the reason behind it.
The hands through the face is one of the best CGI moments in The MCU it looked real and trippy
Huge props to the VFX team they cooked
hi
congrats on germany
And it looked disgusting 💀
you helped the youtube avengers in germany!
Way better than
Madame Web
Inhumans
Weirdest cgi i ever saw- Scorpion King -Mummy returns
Cassandra was a great villain, really enjoyed how disturbing they made her powers.
Her threat level was so high TVA pruned her away from existence to the Void where she liked staying there than leave with Sling Ring of Dr. Strange variant she took out.
Cassandra: Now, You’re Mine!
She's close to Jean Grey in terms of power but not stronger
@@hajdzefgte Jean Grey has a conscience though. Cassandra doesn’t.
It's as if their skulls materialized into clay. It looked crazy but it was effectively cringe.
Deadpool: "You are SO MEAN! My brain could taste your fingers, and they tasted like hate! And where in God's name is the intimacy coordinator?!"
Also Deadpool: "Bet she didn't wash her hands either."
Deadpool: Hey 👋
"Welcome to the Skull @!$! Club!"
Also Deadpool: "You hand is in me and not the good way."
They tasted like hate 😂
Talking about Chris eating the budget and asking for the intimacy coordinator are my favorite type of fourth wall breaks
No one is born evil.
Cassandra Nova: "That's cute."
Honestly we need more villains like that nowadays
We will be getting Muse in daredevil born again
Can there truly be peace in the world if some people are born as psychopaths.
@@Thelongkiwi69as long as being evil is considered fun, there'll always be evil
I mean she got tossed into the void right after she was born. And with all that power it was really hard not to walk on the path of a villain.
0:47 Charles Xavier: "I need an adult!"
Cassandra Nova: "We are adults, brother."
is that a TFS reference?!
@@bigcraft123 I think it was 🤣🤣🤣
@@bigcraft123 TFS ?? 🙄
I’m glad marvel’s finally giving attention to the vfx team!
Almost every Marvel TV show had its own documentary about its production (in the Assembled series), so they have been giving them at least some credit.
It is really commendable that Marvel shot this movie on Anamorphic lenses despite being so VFX heavy. It just feels fresh for a marvel movie to have that authentic film look rather than that digital camera look.
That doesn't make any sense. Lack of film grain is what defines a "digital camera look" - lenses are a whole different subject.
@@DisgruntledDoomer one could also mean "more cinematic" , by saying film look.
Isn't anamorphic very common on Marvel Studios productions? Somehow I still remember thinking around the time FATWS came out that there was a lot of consistency in the look of their shows and movies at the time, and part of it was the (IIRC) anamorphic distortion and falloff.
It's crazy how little people are talking about Emma Corrin's performance as Cassandra Nova. They killed it in the role, nailing Cassandra's sadistic, twisted personality from the comics.
Loved the VFX of their hands through people's heads, as the VFX team really did an excellent job with the fluent movement of their fingers travelling under the skin to really add a level of sadistic menace and creepy terror to them
Nobody talks good about female characters anymore
Thanks to grifters we are heading back to Nazi Germany or 19th century
Emma goes by they/them pronouns jsyk, but i agree that they did a fantastic job.
Disclaimer: i will not be entertaining discourse about whether or not pronouns are acceptable or whatever.
An unhinged villain in a nutshell
@@gingerdog8203 Oh okay my bad,
@@milkiassamuel780 Don't apologize. Cassandra Nova is a villainous woman who's born evil and she knows it.
The visual effects in this movie deserves multiple awards. Fantastic job 👏 Enjoyed every minute of it.
No!
This is one of the most creative depictions of telepathy I’ve seen in films. She literally puts her hand into your brain and digs up to see what’s inside your head. That’s disturbing but still accurate in representing what telepathy is all about.
accurate in depicting what telepathy is? since when telepathy exists in real world?
But like… how is she actually doing that as just a telepath?? Does she have some sort of intangibility too??
@@kentho7093 "accurate in deppicting what telepathy is all about"
telepathy is a really creepy power if you think about it, it's literally about invading another person
@@iversonbanksshe has phasing too
That Stardust choreography between Wolverine and Cassandra when she controls his limbs. I want to see the behind the scenes of that. Pure poetry and much too short.
Didn‘t expect a Stardust reference here. That scene amazed me as a kid.
Hey in honestly really curious as to what youre talking about, could you elaborate more?
@@sunnycideup4725
The end of Neil Gaiman's Stardust movie (2007), a witch uses a voodoo doll to use a corpse to fight the protagonist in the same way Cassandra controls Wolverine's claws. It is a great scene. I won't spoil it, watch the movie, but if you just want the scene, look up "Stardust (7/8) Movie CLIP - Undead Sword Fight (2007) HD" on UA-cam to see what I'm talking about .
@@sunnycideup4725 There is a movie called Stardust, and in the movie, one of the antagonists dies and witches control his body. It's really kind of similar to how she does that thing with Wolverine where she points up and then down and Wolverine is bent over with his claws in the ground.
Kinda crazy how much work goes into these movies thank you Marvel Jesus
The amount of WORK man the unseen Heros Always blown away by their work
got some goosebumps watching these scenes. Awesome VFX
I liked CGI of Cassandra's powers very much. It was very well made imo.
This VFX is really great! One of the best in the movie!
The eyeball bulge was the best part. Well done VFX team. This is what happens when you actually give them time to do their jobs.
Enjoyed this masterpiece in 4dx
Same! The only way to fly.
@@EliteEasyE😊
Haven't seen this movie yet, but holy hell, that's creepy. The way the hands crawl through the skin is disturbing, and I couldn't possibly imagine it being done better. Congratulations to the VFX team, and I'm looking forward to viewing it!
"Your fingers are inside me, but not in a good way"
Oh lord that sounded so freaky!
"You know she doesnt wash that hand"
😂😂
I loved her she killed the role as Charles' evil twin sister
It's crazy she's born evil. The first thing Cassandra did was to try strangle Charles within their mother's womb.
Emma uses they/them pronouns jsyk, but i agree about the performance being wonderful.
Disclaimer: i will not be entertaining discourse about whether or not pronouns are acceptable or whatever.
@@gingerdog8203 No one cares about these silly pronouns in this movie. She nailed it well. That's all.
@@gingerdog8203We use correct pronouns for scientific gender. We will not entertain anything less.
@@gingerdog8203stop making it your job. If she wants to defend this nonsense, let her. She isn’t paying you to white knight her
Or is it more clear “they isn’t paying you to white knight they”
Good god I think that’s a wrap!
No, there has been no awakening from that visual effect and Cassandra's soothing voice.

Amazing work done by EVERYONE🔥🔥🔥🔥
I swear, this freaked me out so much 😂
I'm actually pretty impressed how this was made though. It's disgustingly cool
1:41 "Ring please" Was this in the final cut of the film?
No
No it wasn't
0:12 i forgot what cringe actually meant for a decade there
Same
Can anyone explain what cringe really means?
@@ArnoAftonBasically just scrunching your face at something.
@@ArnoAfton Like watching a paper cut. It's so uncomfortable that you can't help but twist your face
finally giving props to the CGI artists instead of trying to hide the existence of CGI! INCREDIBLE effects!!!
the CGI when Cassandra nova was walking down the stairs, Mr paradox looks so goofy I can't stop laughing at it
Cassandra was actually frightening. Great job with the visual effects!
Love this ❤💛 Been waiting for the behind the scenes!!
I'm really hoping this film gets a nomination for Best Visual Effects for next years Oscars.
Me too! The Academy always nominated MCU movies, so this will sure get in
Cassandra Nova was really well done in Deadpool and Wolverine, the movie was amazing 🤩
Props to the vfx
more VFX breakdowns for D&W please!!! I'd love to see a BTS breakdown of the D&W vs Deadpool Corps!
I can't get over How much she looks like the McAvoy version of Xavier.
The CGI applied to Cassandra's powers is surreal. They did a great job.
Wow, really Awswome & can't wait to see the full behind the scenes and vfx of this movie 💖🔥😍👍💛
Excellent excellent job by vfx on this movie!! Emma Corrin NAILED her role! I do hope we'll see other variants of her in future projects.
Their pronouns are they/them! But yes they did!
@@bceoofcharlescultandmember2428 thats cool but who asked
@@bceoofcharlescultandmember2428 I believe they were referring to the actual female character and not the actor. 🙂
I’d really love to see Cassandra
Nova in theaters again
Find her a very interesting character
Put some respect on Cassandra's name. One of Marvel's top villians.
I like how they stick to the comics with Cassandras character.
absolutely brilliantly done!
I never thought I'd hear an X-Men villain talk about flicking her bean to disintegrating someone's brain while listening to Enya.
I love when she puts her hand in paradox’s face
Deadpool says ha join the face f*ck club and I can guarantee she doesn’t wash that hand
Or whatever he says something like that
I'm 90% sure he says "And you know she doesn't wash that hand!"
@@Ninjoshgoiscool478 yeah something like that
Emma really nailed (no pun intended) their role, props to them!
Their?
I had to read it twice to understand the pun 😂
Her
Seeing Cassanda' hand in Paradox's head awaken something in me like...what would it feel like if she put her hand in...
She was such a great villain and her powers were straight up terrifying. I didn’t like how she died though.
I'm gonna watch it again this weekend. LFG!!!!
Why did Cassandra Nova refuse a hair transplant?
She said, “Why mess with perfection?”
You know the effects in this movie are good because they treated this movie separately from the rest of the MCU
One of the few things I have ever seen that made me genuinely go "eeeeeeew", the fact it looks so real is what sells it, especially how uncomfortably long it was, it was never just a quick few seconds, you had to watch it happen
that special effect was a surprise from the mcu. soo creepy yet believable as a villian to rival deadpool. super well done too
Hands down one of the best VFX in CBM in a long time
What about young Rocket?
When she drags Paradox down to the subway I thought that was just a dummy with some animatronics in the face. Thats some good cgi!
I laughed at that point. Such a disgusting and absurd visual 😂
In the current era of VFX artists crunching and rushing out the visual effects to meet unrealistic deadlines to appease the corporate overlords, the artists and animators in this film did a really good job with the VFX.
We need a variant of her in other movies! She’s so good!
Nice they went with following the comics on how Cassandra put her hand through heads; now that's staying true to the source material.
They will definitely get nominated for best VFX Oscar. My vote is for them to win, but we’ve been disappointed many times before vis-à-vis Infinity War and End Game. How did none of those films not win best VFX?!
0:30 she's vibing to the music in his head XD

Emma was absolutely genius as Cassandra. I loved and hated them at the same time.
VERY AWESOME!!! 😝🤯
I couldn’t even watch the movie properly because I was jumping in my seat lmao 😂
Great movie though
I've seen Deadpool & Wolverine 3 times and the scenes when Cassandra is putting her hands into people's heads creeps me out every time.
Can’t wait for corridor crew to see this!!
She reminds me of White, the boss character from Fatal Fury Real Bout Dominated Mind (PS1). Cassandra Nova is such a great villain!
Best CGI ever
LET'S F@CKIN GO!!!
Ya got that right!
That is so cool!
I actually hoped that Cassandra Nova didn't get killed in "Deadpool and Wolverine" because she brings a lot of crazy to the villain role I think she's downright delirious
I would love to see her variant in future projects with more screen time.
I’ll be glad when this movie is released on digital.
LET US BUY IT!!
This movie slayed in theaters already
Let it slay at home now
Am I the only one who found himself strangely attracted to both the actress and Cassandra Nova? 😂
*Cassandra Nova* (Emma Corrin)
I was bricked up
A very good effect when Deadpool and Wolverine fly into a shop window and sparks fly out of the window frame 🤣
Dear marvel,hire me
Pay Kevin Feige rent first 😊
Incredible
The most satisfying part for me 🖐️💀
That guy would make a great G-Man
these scenes made me so uncomfortable
Realustic worl really agree marvel is the best
Who loves marvel
*I still feel those fingers*
Now upload the scene of Deadpool and Wolverine getting off the bus
been waiting for this we finally got to see some marvel budget level effects in this movie
Nahh cause I was actually looking at that with disgust.
Props to the VFX team they did an amazing job!
Pennywise the Clown: don't come near me.
It’s so satisfying to watch.
WOAH!! Dropping a lotta scenes there marvel calm down!!! it hasn't even hit digital yet!
I wish they kept the 'cough-up sling ring' scene 1:40 in the movie. That was brief but hilarious
Marvel editiors you are genius😮😮😮
Cassandra was cute in a psychopathic, gonna-murder-you-after kinda way....lol
I loved this effect, kinda looks like one of those ai videos where people's bodies fuse in a weird way? Absolutely terrifying, I loved it
seems like there are quite a few great scenes that did not make to the final cut, and i think i can say on behalf of all humanity that we'd love to see them in streaming or blu ray
I'd really like to see Casandra again on a big screen, she was good
This was a spectacular effect
Everytime i see cassandra doing that to paradox
I literally SOMEHOW get a weird feeling on my face😖
Its VERY unconfortable.
Not to mention deadpool made it weirder at the end when she messes with paradox's face😂
You know the film is a banger when anyone with a surname ending with "berg" is part of the productiom team 🔥🔥🔥
Cassandra was absolutely creepy the whole film like dawg. What timing was she on?
