I got a 400 Watt amp two 12s what does it mean when they sink in but bass still sounds good just just like to know if it's the way I hooked the wire hooked are what y'all think
I might also have some insight on this issue that wasn't mentioned in the video, as I had a similar problem in my car with a Kenwood head unit and Rockford Fosgate speakers. My popping was only noticeable at high volumes, but I think it happened at low volumes also, but it just wasn't really noticeable. I am going to outline the troubleshooting procedure that worked for me. First, do what the video said. Check all your wiring, and make sure your EQ is flat, no bass boost, etc. It could definitely be the solution to your problem, however, it turned out to be a different problem for me, which is why I felt the need to comment. Second, fade your head unit to each individual speaker and see if only one of them is crackling/popping. If so, it is probably an issue with that one speaker. This also did not solve my problem, because the popping happened on all of my speakers. Third, try another mode on your head unit. Such as, if you are always using your iPod via USB, then try plugging it into the AUX input and see if the speakers still pop and crackle. If they stop popping when you do this, then the problem is with your iPod or iPod cable. This was the problem that caused my speakers to pop and crackle. Cleaning them both with an air spray can temporarily fixed the problem, but it eventually returned. I ended up just moving all of my music to a USB drive. If all of this fails, you may have an issue with the head unit itself, or you may just not have enough power to properly run the speakers, as mentioned in the video. Also, remember to never turn your head unit up past 3/4 of its max volume, because it usually introduces a lot of distortion into the music. Hopefully this was helpful, and if all else fails, take it to a professional and have them identify the issue.
I have a few Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS in a 1992 Acura integra... I also have 4 very low end Pioneer 6.5 inch 2 way speakers. I want to replace them for components up front, and some coaxial in the rear, since there's no tweeter holes in the rear. Maybe an amp too. really happy with the head unit, just want the mids and highs louder before I install a sub...
I just got some installed but litterally the same day the started sounding different. For about 30 mins they sound great cranked at max valume but after awhile the sound starts to sound fuzzy and volume decreases overall and gets echoed. Now I took the speakers back to get looked at n they sounded fine for both 35 mins but 5 mins after I pulled off the lot they did it again. Happens with all music rap, country, rock
Hey guys, I have a 2014 Silverado with a factory radio. I'm experiencing the same issues, but I have Infinity 6x9s, 6x5s, and tweeters. I also have two Rockford Fosgate 10" subs with an LC5i Pro. The system sounds good, except when I turn it up, then the popping starts.
I have a 04 Chevy Impala base model have a Pioneer MVH -291BT head unit and OME speakers front and rear with an OME amplifier my front and rear speakers we're working fine then I have lost speaker volume at high level have speakers volume at 45-62 but sound is very low what is the problem? Help me out here
So I installed the KICKER 43CSS654 6.5" Component Speaker System Kit (that I got from your store on ebay) into my 2015 wrangler jk. I am using the stock radio. I turned it up to around 20-23 and was nasty sounding. The new speakers i put in sound really bad. Could it be because the stock deck doesn't pump out enough juice for the speakers? I thought it my be the crossovers so I have those set at 0 on all 4 of them and still sounds bad. Sounds ok when it is played at low volumes. Thanks in advance.
I have a crackle 2 months in after install. Even when the music isn't playing, but u did notice it more when I have the AC on, seems when the ac n engine does it's thing u hear a quick light crackle every 20-30 seconds with ac on, without the AC I hear is barely. With no music on and volume all the way up the same tone and repetition of the crackle. Sounds like the rice crispies crackle.
Another thing to add, he can fade the sound of the deck to filter more of the power towards the rear speakers (it's a setting I found to be useful) But definitely need an amp if the deck does not have a built in amp most after market deck amps that are 200 watt are 4ch which is 50 watt per speaker (saying there is 4 speakers total) best bet for power is a cheap 300 watt sub with a cheap amp for a average car stereo system. My information is based of personal experience, not expert experience.
I have a 2008 Mitsubishi lancer with the rockford fosquate subwoofer that actually came with the car. With my old system i can turn it up as loud as i want and it sounded great changed the stereo and if i try to turn it up loud even without the loudness setting on and it just makes that same crackling sound i never heard b4. The guy who installed it tried to explain it to me sumn about the system is accustomed to 1100 sumn and the stereo is putting out 1300 so that sends the extra to the tweeters on th car thatmakes is sound distorted... do anyone understand what he is talking about and can you simplify?
I have a 2002 toyota camry. That had a system installed. I took it out and. Now i wana put it back. I have. Factory radio factory speakers. I have a l.o.c. with one 12. Premier pro champion sereis. I have a 2003 Yukon Denali XL I put a aftermarket system in it I got a 6.5 fosgate components in the front and back doors I have an upgrade sound system in the very back I have two level four 15 DC Audio with the 3.5 amplifier also DC batteries and everything it was sounding good then all the sudden the louder I go my door speakers muffle down the amp I have is a four channel which it's not like top of the line is called black ice but it used to work with no problem I noticed that it gets very very hot you can probably cook an egg on it that's how hot it gets I'm wondering if that's what's causing my door speakers to muffle down as an amp alone I appreciate it if you can reach out to me
I just put alpine s 65c 6 1/2" speakers amd tweeters in my 2000 chevy silverado that has the kenwood dmx47s. When I turn my blue tooth and my phone all the way up it starts sounding a little distorted on high volume. I also have a alpine mrx m 55 amp I wanna put in the truck it's a mono amp but has speaker inputs in the back for 4 speakers. Xan I hook just the speakers up to this amp not the sub and will it help ot could it be a wiring issue?
Hi guys, i can see this video is old but hopefully someone will reply! So ive just installed an android head unit (Atoto A6) on my 2008 350z Gt so it has the bose system installed from stock.... I'm finding that at high volumes i'm getting distortion, i think the bose system works at 1 ohms so i'm guessing my new head unit has a higher resistance so it can give as much current as my amplifier can?? do you know of any way i can fix this? Thanks
I have a rad Pioneer radio but my speakers in back doors and back hatch will crackle when i turn up.. I don't thump my music with bass but still like to turn up great songs on CD.. Easily the most annoying, and least helpful video I've found on this topic.. And I've watched probably 30 videos in the last 4 days. So Congrats on that atleast
I have a 2004 GMC Sierra sle.. with an aftermarket Kenwood excelon kdcx599 with 6&1/2 front 3way speakers and replaced the rear 4&1/2 and it still sounds like a whisper.. help! Lol 😂🤷🏿♂️
I purchased 2 amps for my car. A sony XM-1S for my RE SEX 12D4 and a XM-4S for my RF components. I ran a 4 gauge Monster cable from the battery into a distribution block and one 4 gauge goes to the xm-1s and one 8 gauge goes to the xm-4s. Is that power gauge enough juice to be running everything at its highest efficiency?
I got a 2020 hatchback corolla and when i turn on the car the speakers sound crackling like frying chicken jejeje can u please tell what is that and im using the OEM head unit
Why does my pioneer car stereo fuse has a copper wire around ? If I take it off the copper wire from the stereo fuse it won't turn on ...I bought it from someone..someone explain?my speakers never did that even though i play bass boosted songs ..I use the deck at home with 5amp supply
Question: my Chevy Silverado 2005 stock rear speakers are not working right when I turn the fade all the way forward the rear speakers get louder but are still very faint when I turn the fade all the way back they turn off the front speakers are fine it’s just the back ones it’s not the speakers themselves bought new ones and they didn’t work either
Hi I installed 4 new speakers 🔊, but the voice vocals, sound low, the base is ok ✅ but vocals sound low. What is the problem with that can someone tell me.
hey guys whats up i have a old kenwood head unit like 10 years old have it 03 subaru outback had my factory speakers but bought some jbl 6 and a half inch because i thought the factory speakers were giving me the problem so i installed the new jbl and still the same thing maybe even worse so this is whats happening i turn the volume up to like 27 its good for a bit and then it starts to sound like the music is getting lower not the volume botton but the sound so what i have to do is turn the volume down all the way and turn it up again to get good sound but if i keep the volume low like at 20 it stays good do you think its the radio starting to go to crap thank you in advance
Thank you so much for your time and info you share. Question, if I have component speakers that run 75 watt rms and it's only getting 50 watts rms from the amp, could this be considered underpowered? You spoke about clipping and distortion in this video and I am getting a little of both at different times in different songs. I'm just trying to rule out a few things to get it straight. Thank you again for your time. Tim
I have a different problem. My speakers are 100% fine when the engine is not running. As soon as you turn on the engine though, the speakers crackle. It gets worse with higher RPM. My garage tried installing a capacitor to fix it, but this did not work at all. Any ideas?
@@sharanpreet5559 Yes, I did. The stock Honda speakers were the problem in my case. The 50 watt headunit that was built into the car by the previous owner was simply too much for those speakers. They were absolute pieces of junk partially made out of cardboard like material. I replaced those speakers with Pioneers, and the problem was gone.
@@WH250398 oh that's awesome 👍🏻👍🏻I just upgraded my stock mercedes speakers to alpine type s. And the quality went down. I am confused and don't know what to do now
@@sharanpreet5559like most stock head units car manufacturers tune the frequencies to the stock paper cones so they sound acceptable. To fix your issue, you will first need an amp to give the speakers real power as they are currently underpowered and you need a DSP to tune each of the new speakers as frequencies, EQ, delay, need to be adjusted. This may be $$$ but will be worth it. I upgraded my speakers to aftermarket high powered and like you the sound degraded. My local audio installer mentioned I need an amp and DSP with tune.
should have never read these comments... "whats a good four channel amp?". some people should take their cars to professionals cause if that guy got his hands on a amp he's probably gonna screw up his whole car haha great vids
I have a Toyota Tacoma and I just had a Sub woofer installed I also have pretty decent aftermarket door speakers but when I turn the volume up high say 3/4 of the way hi it gets muffled after 5 minutes on high. Any solutions??
Hey guys, I really appreciate your videos and i have a question. AMP= Kicker CX A1200 SUB= Kicker 10 inch L7 Solobaric Speakers= 4x Kicker 6 3/4 Ran well off of my normal truck battery but i was wondering about how long i could run it off of my new 120 AH deep cycle. Should i upgrade my alternator (I think it's over 100 amp) and do the big 3? Thank you again and have a great day.
check Abdou's post a couple down right on the money aftermarket HU's probably put out more power than a stock HU, which means it probably has an onboard amp that you are now daisychaining through a crappy old factory amp that probably is less powerful than the new HU or at best the same which is not a good idea ...test your factory amp by bypassing it: pull the new HU out of the dash, unwire your head unit from the factory harness (except for the power, gnd & remote) then run some temp wire directly from the HU unit pigtail to the speakers and if the 'rice crispies' are gone you now know what the culprit is
I have a pretty light powered amp Pioneer GMA4604 480W. Runs 40W x 4 or 120W x 2 bridged. I'm powering my front pioneer speakers with two channels and then plan on bridging the last two channels for a small sub. I'm looking at the Kick 10C124's "handles" up to 150W RMS. Does this mean that the sub is recommended to run at 150 W or is that the max wattage? With 120W would it be considered under powering the sub or will the sub will run weaker @ 120 W. I can't find many decent 120 W subs.
When matching subs to an amp the MAX/PEAK power rating means nothing, same with speakers. If you can't find the RMS rating of an amp/speaker... DONT BUY IT! Your front speakers will run 40Watts RMS, your sub will run 120Watts RMS. I usually go off the rule of thumb of keep your sub as close to the RMS rating as possible. So the answer is yes. that's a good match. find the recommended volume for the sub so you buy it once. I don't know about your sub, didn't look it up. it needs to be a single voice coil 4Ohm sub. other wise you will run into issues.
Hey guys.... I have Kenwood ddx 310 head unit plus a boss 3000watt armor class d mono block amp n a 2000watt 4channel's boss riot, with a 2000watt sony explode sub, 2 kicker6x9, 2 pioneer ts-575m but every time I turn my system up I can smell the speakers. N yes its a budget system.
I have a 06 civic and my rear speakers clip in the back with volume at 27 and up. Besides the solutions in the video would disconnecting them be an option? Before my current subwoofer n amp I had a powered sub hacked into the rear speakers wires due to not having an aftermarket head unit. There is a bit of extra wire that is hanging freely from the rear speaker wires with just electrical tape covering the exposed wire, would the exposed wire possibly be causing the clipping?
Hey guys I am wanting to get an audio setup in an old classic car, 1969 Pontiac firebird and was wondering do I need to add tweeters for a high performance setup? I am getting some infinty speakers and 2 12" kicker L7's and haven't decided on all yet
I just put in an aftermarket radio and the back speakers rattle and the front speakers aren't playing bass anymore like when I had the stock radio in it. ik theres no problems with wiring in the radio so what do I need to do so the bass will play in the front more and not in the back because my rear speakers cant handle bass. I also tried fading it all the way to the front and still not a lot of bass is playing like when the stock radio was in it. Please help
I have a question. I’m sure you’re busy so I’ll try to provide all the info you would need here. Currently I’m using my stock Camry stereo. Non JBL package. JL Audio 400/4 amp. 4ohm. 75watts per channel. Kicker Component Set. 4ohm. 10watt minimum. 100w RMS. 300 max rms. Kicker component speakers, but the crossover was separated from the pair, as, according to the terrible installer I went to, it was pulling too much power from the woofer and causing it to be low volume. So the woofer was wired directly to the amp, and the tweeters were spliced in as well. So the amp is powering both. Without a crossover. My problem is twofold now. 1. My tweeters are distorting, they tried to remedy this by adding a capacitor. It’s not working. 2. My tweeters are much louder than my mid woofer. And I need to push the volume HARD to get my mids to really shine through the rest of the mix, and at the point my tweeters are distorting, and uncomfortably harsh. Plus, I know that without a crossover they’re likely to die. My plan is this. 1. Install an Alpine ILXW650. 2. Keep or remove the capacitor but, take that crossover that was intended for both speakers, and connect it in line AFTER the splice that connects the woofer and tweeter to the amp, but before the tweeter. I do this in the hopes that 1. The crossover works as intended, and will effect JUST my tweeters and 2. If it does in fact drain power, and I know a passive crossover does, then maybe it will bring the tweeter volume into balance with the woofers. Can you, or anyone else hear with knowledge advise if this makes sense?
I got some kappa 93ix I was recommended those as the best highest quality in their store and yes they are totally but then at a certain high volume they start sounding like the cheapest stock speakers, any suggestions? Would it affect the facts that I have not installed a speaker amp?
My car radio is 20W x4channel thats very weak I bought a 50W RMS speakers the sound is bad when i turn on to max volume what if I buy better car stereo(If I buy 50or100W x4 channel radio) .Pls give me some advice?
Rade Stoimenov just buy an amp. If it's 50 watts RMS at 4 speakers is 200 WATTS RMS so you need an amp that's 200 RMS or greater with 4 channels or more.
Rade Stoimenov theres no such thing as a 100x4 rms head unit trust me ive tried to look for one and the sony one isnt 100x4 its 40x4 lol, just get an amp bro
I have a 8 inch subwoofer with a 60 Watt Amp (I'm not sure if its 40 watts RMS but i know its 60 watts peak and this is a Home theatre Subwoofer and i changed out my stock subwoofer from the stock 60 watt sub to a 1,000 watt BOSS AUDIO Subwoofer and tried it out and still Distorts at full power. The stock sub distorts at full power and then my new 1,000 watt subwoofer distort and its a 1,000 watt Peak but 500 RMS and im using the stock amp+Box (And then put 2 blue LED light strips and then put 2 plexiglass on left and right side of the box and i have the pelxiglasses nice and tight with silicone (Or Cillicone | IDK how to spell that word lol and my subwoofer does sound good at the 40 watts but i wish to have it NOT distort ;-; I'm also getting a new stereo system soon with about 800 watts peak but 400 RMS I dont have enough money yet and getting some money soon for the 1,000 Dollar system!
+Roshan Dixit i tried that once on a 6x9 (un-mounted) and i saw sparks jumping across the speaker terminals. it may work under certain conditions but but its not worth the risk IMO. just get a bigger amp
yes you can, but why would you want a Mono output when you have stereo outputs? Also read up on Ohms Law when attempting new things. If your amp is 2 Ohm stable and you bridge the two channels a 4 Ohm load will split across the 2 channels, thus giving each channel a 2 Ohm load. if you wore down to 2 Ohms and bridge a 2 Ohm stable amp that doesn't immediately go into protect you'll blow your amp/speakers up.
2007 Impala LT (non Bose) I installed a new head unit and Scosche speakers all the way around, the front speakers are ran through the factory wiring, I had the back going through factory wiring as well but there was almost no noise in the rear speakers besides crackling static, I ran new wires to the back speakers directly from the head unit and that got the speakers to make a little bit more of clearer sound, I then installed a ground loop isolator which knocked out 90% of the static but now it's to the point where the front speakers are loud and bassy when they're not supposed to have that much bass and the rear sound like just treble.. confused and need help!
I have a shitbox 2nd gen dodge with pioneer 6×9s in the front doors 2 10" shallow mount hiphonics and 2 sony 6×9s in the sub box with an 1100 watt rockford fosgate amp and it sounds good when its quit but even with bass boost off it's very distorted at high volumes
killer88901 I've noticed that my "Loud" function makes it sound really shitty up high but with more bass. With it off it sounds fine it just has less bass
i have a boss epic 2500 5 channel with 2 shallow pioneet 12s and 2 kicker 6x9s and some tweeters with a pioneer stero in my c10. everything else worls fine but when i hoom up my 6x9s i always get distortion eve w/o the subs hooked up. any suggestions?
I have a issue where my new pyle 5.25'' (upgraded from a 4'' kickers that i thought were under powered) speakers in my dash and at any volume above 25 they crackle so bad and its really annoying and my pioneer 6x9s in the back don't crackle. powered by a JVC KD-R330 deck. Also would bass blockers up front help this issue? thanks
I got a dodge avenger 97 it was a show car but it has some strange crap in the trunk like an amp called a soundstorm 700w with two large subs they seem as old as the car. Are there any subs and amp that are better then these that are under or around $200? I'm redoing every thing to this car and I want to remove the back seats and so space is no prob just want to keep the coast down.
What's up guys Just so you guys have an idea, I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco w/base radio, kicker 350.4(07) going to image dynamics CTX 6.5cs door speakers. Passive crossovers were replaced with a "active" setup via minidsp and tweeters were replaced with seas prestige soft dome tweeters. I Also have a IDmax 10D2V3 powered by a Brutus 1200.1 Getting to the question now. My door dinger sound goes through the driver side door speaker. The fact that my doors are now amplified means that my door dinger is noticeably louder. My headunit has settings for a lower ding sound, but it's still too loud. Is there anything you could do to lower the dinging sound without negatively affecting the SQ of the audio.(obviously lowering the gain on the amp will lower the ding sound but that will also lower the output of the speakers) Gains are set below clipping as well. Thanks, Terry
Pioneer avicf90 on some pioneer 5 inch speakers with the tweeters in middle an some an a 1500 .1 boss amp with a 12 inch dvc4 planet audio sub in ported box
I have a question, i have a 2017 Volkswagen jetta gli with the Fender audio system and i changed my door speakers to JBL 6.5's. The problem I'm having is my front speakers are popping (mainly the Right) the rears are fine. I just don't understand why the front two are popping. When the fader is to one side no popping but together they pop unless i slide the fader to the right a little. Also the car has a built in sub in the trunk. Can you help
I wanted to try baffles on my set up as well. I get alot of vibration from my speakers. I definitely need to sound deaden my doors. Wondering if i can get away with just using baffles and some sound deadening material around the coaxial speakers.
I have a JL 900/5 c3 components up front and c2 coaxial speakers in the rear with 2 JL 12tw3 8 ohm subs in a 2018 GMC Sierra crew cab. I am having a distortion in my passenger from speakers after I hooked up my subs. It didn’t happen till I hooked up my subs. What do you guys think?

I have jbl gto 509c and mds fanatic f2. My right door speaker sounds good when there is no bass in the song, but when there is bass, I can only hear crackling and popping all over the place. Sounds kind of like there was something loose in the door, but there isn't because i just dynamatted the shit out of the doors. Left door seems to be fine. What could cause this? Im utterly hopeless and it ruins my driving pleasure :(
Sounds like a blown voice coil perhaps. Try pushing in on the speaker cone while no music is playing. If you hear or feel anything other than silence and smoothness your voice coil is blown and time for new speakers

So I have a 06 impala and bought some new rear kicker 6x9 speakers and install them. When I had install them, the right speaker wasnt getting power like the left speaker. I also have one 12 and a 300 watt amp that I didnt connect to it yet. Im just trying to figure out is my wires going bad or is it just the radio ( its the regular radio by the way) Ive bought a small kit that i can use to run the amp off the regular radio.
so a 85W X 4 channel car stereo would mean a RMS of +40W. if that's correct than the speakers to be used must have a RMS value of +50W if u aren't going to use an external amplifier. is that correct?
Ulrich Sosro That is roughly correct. Most aftermarket stereos list RMS wattage so be sure to check. A 50W RMS speaker is usually a good match for running right off the stereo.
My car radio is 20W x4channel thats very weak I bought a 50W RMS speakers the sound is bad when i turn on to max volume what if I buy better car stereo(If I buy 50or100W x4 channel radio) .Pls give me some advice?

Sounds like a factory amp that needs to be removed.
Same issue I had when I removed all the bose in my altima, remove the bose amp and all is well.
I have a few Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS in a 1992 Acura integra... I also have 4 very low end Pioneer 6.5 inch 2 way speakers. I want to replace them for components up front, and some coaxial in the rear, since there's no tweeter holes in the rear. Maybe an amp too. really happy with the head unit, just want the mids and highs louder before I install a sub...
hey guys, question: speaker level calibration. how would i go upon setting the best speaker level or how would i properly adjust it manually..? thanks
long story short: Gain settings and component quality
Why my car sound distorting when i turn my bass knob on on high volume i have factory radio in my car and tuned it to -7.5db?
He's stoned
is equalizing thru AUX good idea? i got alot of clean bass out of my caoxials by turning bass on poweramp app on android.
I have no idea about some of the terms you used. Would you make a Car Sound System 101 crash course. Great Vid Thanks.
Hi, I have a 12' t2 rockford fosgate power series sub woofer, and a kicker ix 1000.1, will that amp push the sub right ? Or should I upgrade ..

Any ideas?
Did you fixed that issue brother
Great answering techniques
Yea thanks that fix the distortion some what the speakers are 350 6by8
Need to remake this one but give the option of a amplifier also.
Hey guys, I really appreciate your videos and i have a question.
AMP= Kicker CX A1200
SUB= Kicker 10 inch L7 Solobaric
Speakers= 4x Kicker 6 3/4
Ran well off of my normal truck battery but i was wondering about how long i could run it off of my new 120 AH deep cycle.
Should i upgrade my alternator (I think it's over 100 amp)
and do the big 3?
Thank you again and have a great day.
Can you tell me the reasons why my sub woofers will sound Muffled
check Abdou's post a couple down right on the money aftermarket HU's probably put out more power than a stock HU, which means it probably has an onboard amp that you are now daisychaining through a crappy old factory amp that probably is less powerful than the new HU or at best the same which is not a good idea ...test your factory amp by bypassing it: pull the new HU out of the dash, unwire your head unit from the factory harness (except for the power, gnd & remote) then run some temp wire directly from the HU unit pigtail to the speakers and if the 'rice crispies' are gone you now know what the culprit is
Garbage dialog.... Just answer the questions
Mccoy Henry change the cheap sub , look on line for a good price
The problem is "Sony" speakers....
Which speakers do you need?
I have a 06 civic and my rear speakers clip in the back with volume at 27 and up. Besides the solutions in the video would disconnecting them be an option? Before my current subwoofer n amp I had a powered sub hacked into the rear speakers wires due to not having an aftermarket head unit. There is a bit of extra wire that is hanging freely from the rear speaker wires with just electrical tape covering the exposed wire, would the exposed wire possibly be causing the clipping?
Subwoofer sounds fine past those volumes, just the rear speakers clip.
Hey guys I am wanting to get an audio setup in an old classic car, 1969 Pontiac firebird and was wondering do I need to add tweeters for a high performance setup? I am getting some infinty speakers and 2 12" kicker L7's and haven't decided on all yet
Someone do a review of kenwood
330u no one has done one
Fitted 6x9s now my tweeters crackle
I just put in an aftermarket radio and the back speakers rattle and the front speakers aren't playing bass anymore like when I had the stock radio in it. ik theres no problems with wiring in the radio so what do I need to do so the bass will play in the front more and not in the back because my rear speakers cant handle bass. I also tried fading it all the way to the front and still not a lot of bass is playing like when the stock radio was in it. Please help
replace speakers
Did you solved that issue brother
Dudes higher then a kite🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What is the song you use for the intro?
QUESTION
Does a 2way speaker setup sound better then a 3way or 4way speaker in general?
Good question
The dude on the left looks like m shadows
Can an amp be bridged to power speakers ?? Not A Sub !!
Omg.... It was the extra bass setting on my stereo, I turned it off and the popping stopped at all volumes :D
killer88901 I've noticed that my "Loud" function makes it sound really shitty up high but with more bass.
Also would bass blockers up front help this issue? thanks
My speaker sound bad
I got a dodge avenger 97 it was a show car but it has some strange crap in the trunk like an amp called a soundstorm 700w with two large subs they seem as old as the car. Are there any subs and amp that are better then these that are under or around $200? I'm redoing every thing to this car and I want to remove the back seats and so space is no prob just want to keep the coast down.
What's up guys
Just so you guys have an idea, I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco w/base radio, kicker 350.4(07) going to image dynamics CTX 6.5cs door speakers. Passive crossovers were replaced with a "active" setup via minidsp and tweeters were replaced with seas prestige soft dome tweeters. I Also have a IDmax 10D2V3 powered by a Brutus 1200.1
Getting to the question now.
My door dinger sound goes through the driver side door speaker. The fact that my doors are now amplified means that my door dinger is noticeably louder.
My headunit has settings for a lower ding sound, but it's still too loud. Is there anything you could do to lower the dinging sound without negatively affecting the SQ of the audio.(obviously lowering the gain on the amp will lower the ding sound but that will also lower the output of the speakers)
Gains are set below clipping as well.
Thanks,
Terry
Can you help
dose door speaker baffles improves sound quality at all?
I wanted to try baffles on my set up as well. I get alot of vibration from my speakers. I definitely need to sound deaden my doors. Wondering if i can get away with just using baffles and some sound deadening material around the coaxial speakers.
Depends on the speaker. Sound deadening woyld be best but a baffle will improve mid bass

+Budz Wingren turned out that when i put more volume, the cone is hitting a part of the doorcard.
+kakka626 That's great it was a simple fix!

ITS BAD POWER TO THE HEAD UNIT, MOST LIKELY A BAD GROND WIRE. I KNOW THIS WAS YEARS AGO BUT N PROMISE YOU THAT WAS HIS PROBLEM.....
I have a 2006 chevy monte carlo lt and i have 2 db drive euphoria 6.5" for the doors and 2 kicker ds 6x9" in the deck and i have completely removed my panosonic factory amp and head unit i have a double din dual xdvd276bt and when i have the head unit on 25 and under its all good but anything over my passenger 6.5" starts distorting and ive re wire the whole car speakers system changed the wire a few times and its still doing the same thing
A 50W RMS speaker is usually a good match for running right off the stereo.
yes
My car radio is 20W x4channel thats very weak I bought a 50W RMS speakers the sound is bad when i turn on to max volume what if I buy better car stereo(If I buy 50or100W x4 channel radio) .Pls give me some advice?
Good morning, I have a 2014 Nissan Maxima and my new dash speakers crackle and pop with the engine running and the volume turned up past 20. I have a soudstream head unit, and boss chaos speakers all around. Dash speakers are 140w, front door 500w, rear door 125w, and rear deck 500w. Any ideas on what the issue could be?
where can i find better car speakers? are all car speakers the same? do i have to get speakers that are specific to my car model, year and brand? or does it have to only be specific to the brand? is playing music really loud at max volume flat out a bad idea no matter what speakers u have, or r there certain speakers that r designed for that? pls help
