8:10 For the ladies who don't have a handy air compressor, if you have a shop vac, you can blow off dust. Just move the hose from the intake to the outtake hole and it'll blow off your dust very nicely. I literally did this right before sitting down to take a break while watching this video. Made clearing the dust off of six freshly dusted picture frames so easy. I had it done just a few seconds.
I love watching your makeovers. I always look at the “bones” of anything I see in a garage sale, flea market, or “antique barn” type place. I’m glad you left the insert in the one drawer. It was part of the original and I think that was an excellent choice. 😊
Drawers are always nice! I made a lot of them since when we still had trash weekend I collected them and many other items first twice a year, then only once. You could take your car and pass all the streets of your village and pick up everybody´s trash of furniture, electronics and so on. Following Monday morning the community picked up everything to take it to the recycling. I filled up my garage regularily every spring and worked myself through the rest of the year. It was some kind of meditation for me to work on everything, and finally I filled up the houses and flats of my 3 children in Austria and the cottage in Greece. Thanks for your ideas, Yvonne and your showing tips and tricks!
Cynthia Nelson took the words out of my mouth. I would put books and hang my glasses and magnifying 🔍 glass from drawer pulls. You have Inspired me Ginger girl you're amazing 🤩
I have done small drawers to sit on a table and put decor items in, like a big bowl, but never thought of hanging them on the wall. I have one that the front of the drawer was missing, so I made a new drawer front out of tumbling tower blocks. I think it came out kinda cute. Very shabby, which is my style. Lol! The shellac idea is genius!
I love watching you you use the paint gun! You do such a goo job! Those old drawers turned out fantastic! You blow my mind! So proud of you! Keep it up!!
Hi Yvonne ! Love the drawer that has the wood details inside and happy you left it alone ! I love seeing all the upcycled draws that people do… nice save and so many have nice character to them…like yours does ! Must be you were spared the snow storm this week? We lost many trees and people lost building due to the weight of the “SLUSH PUPPY SNOW” I like to call it…WET AND VERY,VERY HEAVY - about 16 inches of it. Our little town was a mess with down trees , branches, wires, etc! Many roads closed and left like that for days before help came. We just got power and phones back today. I was very sick of the 2 games I play on my IPad 😂 after 4 1/2 days !! I watched your lovely lawn video and all the work you do ! My husband started our lawn last week… oh the branches and limbs and flooding now ! Ugh! But THANKFUL it was not worse like those horrible tornados that hit Kentucky and Indiana in the fall…. Power is easy…loss of a whole town and life is another story! Pray all is good your way ! Hugs to you 💛💛🌞🌞💛💛
That turned out so pretty. I have some left over drawers from tearing out our old kitchen that I’ll be making shelves out of, and 2 cabinets that I want to redo. Thank you. I learn so much from your videos
Love your makeover on the wall cabinet! So beautiful! You have such a wonderful, supportive husband. A lot of husbands would not understand that you not only enjoy their company, they are quite needed in some projects!
Gi Yvonne and Chris.. It seems like a lifetime since I last posted a comment to you both but I've been very quiet lately due to the loss of my Dad.. It's so lovely to see you again and I loved what you have done with the dresser top.. Absolutely beautiful job, you're so talented.. Love and best wishes to you both from Tracey in the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️xxx
I'm coming across a lot of your old videos (and re-watching them )!! It's great to see your evolving styles, techniques, interests ! I am one of your OG's...! Keep up the great work!
Where I live they allow you to have a throwaway anything specified day and so a lot of people throw away furniture and things that they no longer want. That's where I find all kinds of treasures and dresser drawers.
I love the shelves made from drawers, what a great idea! They look so nice when they are finished. You and Chris do such a professional job, I love watching both of you.
Beautiful, your friend is going to love her shelve. I love the drawer/shelves. I would of left the character on the inside as well. Great job guy’s,,,super cute!!!❣️
Your work is always so professional. Loved the drawers! Thanks for the pre-shellac idea. What a great way to prevent the bleed through that always seems to happen.
Absolutely gorgeous! The little cabinet turned out beautiful and the shelves from drawers are great also. I have four that a guy gave me one day when I hauled off some trash! He was putting them in the dumpster so I asked if I could have them. So guess what I’m going to be doing with them. Thanks for sharing your impressive work!
That cabinet for your friend looks sooo good. Looks professionally done ( and it was 😊). The drawers are awesome. I love that idea at what to do with extra drawers. I’ve done a few of them. Learned a lesson from Chris very helpful too. Never thought to put my square up to the shelf to make sure it’s level. If he’s got the secret at how you get those nails in without missing the shelf. I never seem to line up right. I’m always off on one or two of the shelves. I also must compliment him at how he rig up that board on his table saw. Very clever. Now I’d I only had a table saw LOL. Thanks to both of you for sharing your ideas. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍
The cabinet turned out beautifully, your friend is so lucky to have you as a friend. I’ve always loved the up cycled drawers but yours are on a whole different level. Thank you for the inspiration ♥️♥️
I have made a pin board from a shelf I found in a skip. My family think I'm mad!! It was very shallow so worked well for this purpose. I cleaned it up and sanded it. I used danish oil and bees wax rather than paint it as the wood has a great patina. It has handles just like the tall drawer you did. I bought some sticky back cork tiles attached them to an old amazon box and then covered it in some fabric I had in my stash. I found some little wooden pegs that have a pin stuck to the back. I was going to sell it but now I am tempted to keep it myself for my kitchen.
When my dad passed away and we unloaded his workshop I found a divided drawer for his bench. I brought it home and cleaned it up. My husband painted it black and it hangs in my sun porch ☺️
All of the projects were awesome. I love the integrity that you and Chris have, and the people who purchase your beautiful pieces are truly blessed. Outstanding!
I have so many drawers from a kitchen remodel! Hung onto them, knowing I’d find something to do with them! I should’ve known it would come from you! I love the little cabinet as well!
I would have put mounting hardware on the back of the drawers so the hardware would be facing down when hung. You can hang some cute things from the handles and still have a full shelf on top for displaying things.
Love this so much, especially with the handles. I'm definitely going to be looking for drawers. I'd like to set up a little coffee station but I have very little counter space. So I was thinking I'd hang one of these shelves, make a little hole in the back for the cord and set my coffee pot on it, (I only have 5 cup pot ) and my favorite cups and all the other coffee things. And then you could also tuck a little tea towel in one of the handles! Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration!
I love your tutorials so much. I love that you try to do everything right the first time to make it the best piece that a customer would love. I love the drawer shelves especially the one that the handles came with the ones you painted black it was so beautiful with those on it.
Yvonne, love all the pieces in these projects. One thing that I was thinking about was painting the little pegs on the cabinet black. All the other ones were black on the knobs. But, everything else was just perfect!
Nice job. Found a few cast off drawers that I wanted to make shelves with but they were very crude (which I liked) and covered in red shellac (part of an old Asian chest) the shellac was impossible to sand all off and I wanted to show the beauty of the wood! You did such a great job finishing these shelves that I may try painting mine. Thanks for another great video, Yvonne! Also, thanks to Chris my husband is watching your some of your videos with me.
Awesome work, I don't know if this trick would have worked on that type of wood, but I find using a heat gun or hairdryer to "reactivate the glue" on the back of the sticker, they come off a little easier. Just a thought. keep up the good work.
Beautiful work as always!!😍 I tried to find the wax as well (I live in California) can not find it either!😔 Thank you for the inspiration because I have a few furniture projects to get done.☺️ God Bless!🥰🙏🏼 Edited: the drawer with the wooden pull is from an old roll up desk. Some one I know has one just like it and it’s a 100 years old.☺️
I've had 3 drawers for a while, they are a little deeper than yours but think a shelf is the way to go. Thanks. The fourth one had a messed up bottom ant I cut it to fit around bottom of Christmas tree and filled with off white crochet blanket

They came out great but, I liked them better when they were black. You always do such beautiful work. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful. AMAZINGLY easy.
Thank you
I love watching you you use the paint gun! You do such a goo job! Those old drawers turned out fantastic! You blow my mind! So proud of you! Keep it up!!
I would display the drawer with the hardware on it upside down. That way you can hang towels or a basket from them.
Hi Yvonne ! Love the drawer that has the wood details inside and happy you left it alone ! I love seeing all the upcycled draws that people do… nice save and so many have nice character to them…like yours does !

The drawers turned out super cute!
I'm coming across a lot of your old videos (and re-watching them )!! It's great to see your evolving styles, techniques, interests ! I am one of your OG's...! Keep up the great work!
I love the diagonal grooved detailing on the tall shelf! Glad you left it in.
I love it too.....wondering if it served a purpose in the drawer? It seems too evenly spaced and precise to not have a purpose.
Thank you
Such attention to detail.
I love these colors, I have a dresser set I'm working on ,the black onix is beautiful

Your work is always so professional. Loved the drawers! Thanks for the pre-shellac idea. What a great way to prevent the bleed through that always seems to happen.
The timing of your video was perfect. I just acquired a drawer to be transferred into a shelf. Thank you.
Oh.. great timing on saving those 💝
Dresser drawer shelves are genius.
Gorgeous shelves!!

I just came across your channel. You are the first Gal I've seen that knows how to use spray paint. 😁
Thank you

I love the drawers, and I am going to do some.

Very pretty drwaers
Loved all three pieces! Excellent finished products!
“You gotta work with what you got. As you can see, these boards have some crackage”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😁🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁
Beautiful as always ✝️💟
Love these! I think the cabinet would also look nice with the doors off add small baskets inside for an entry way coat rack/cubby.
Always beautiful!!❤
I have several small old sewing machine drawers that I have hanging as shelves to hold a salt and pepper shaker collection.
Great idea
Beautiful work as always!!😍 I tried to find the wax as well (I live in California) can not find it either!😔 Thank you for the inspiration because I have a few furniture projects to get done.☺️ God Bless!🥰🙏🏼
Edited: the drawer with the wooden pull is from an old roll up desk. Some one I know has one just like it and it’s a 100 years old.☺️
Beautiful cabinet!
Love the drawers made into shelves. The handles could be used to hang things.
They turned out super

I use old drwers standing upright on the table at my Market stall to display tall items
I've had 3 drawers for a while, they are a little deeper than yours but think a shelf is the way to go. Thanks. The fourth one had a messed up bottom ant I cut it to fit around bottom of Christmas tree and filled with off white crochet blanket
