Guedelon Castle Remade in Unreal Engine 5

- A remake of my first project in Unreal Engine 5. Modeled in Blender, textured in Substance Painter and rendered in UE5.
Based on the Guedelon castle project in Treigny, France. The real castle is in the process of being built using 13th century techniques and materials.

I'll most likely remake this in a couple years or so when more of the interiors are finished and I have better equipment/skills.
The music is a cover I made of the Ard Skellig Town theme from The Witcher 3

Nice. But there should be no window in the front gate. They are building a medieval reproduction not a renaissance castle.
I agree. Although maybe they just wanted a place for visitors to look out or something. I don't think that part has actually been built yet so maybe the plans will change in time.

Thank you, I think when I looked at the plans I couldn't see one. I could be wrong though
no drawbridge, it is a "sleeping bridge", it does not rise, in the event of a siege it must be dismantled.

not bad at all and very good render, but no hoarding on the front (there should be!), and too large (especially on the gatehouse) windows at some points that are a design flaw. Props for the oblique arrow loops on the sides, i do recall that the actual castle forgot them.
Thanks, I was trying to be as close to the original as possible but of course now I look at the render I see a lot of stuff I would redo. When the real castle's done I might remake everything and hopefully be more accurate and realistic!
@@yetirenders well you're already doing awesome work as of now! Will you do the interior when possible? I'm very interested in a fully rendered guédelon. Castle is estimated to take 10 to 15 year to complete from now so a render is perfect for now XD

Я думаю, что основной целью строителей было рассказать посетителям о замках в целом и о том, как они были построены с использованием технологий того времени. Есть также комнаты, которые у меня не было времени включить, и которые имеют красивые детали, такие как часовня.
Было бы интересно посмотреть, чего бы они могли достичь, если бы время и финансирование не были проблемой.
