Not sure why I didn't see this vid pop up when I was researching whether to get a Microvolt or a 0-Coast, but I didn't. I ended up with the Microvolt (very happy - it's awesome). Eventually I got a 0-Coast as well when I saw one pop up at a good price on either Reverb or eBay (don't remember). So glad to have both... I love both of the for different reasons.
I think, they make a great team.
Who are you guys? Seems like I saw one of your videos for the first time a year ago and now your channel is monstrous! Such a simple strategy, shut up and just play the synth. Let it speak for itself. Love your vids (except for the dreadbox Abyss, but nobody remembers that anymore lol).

Thanks for your comment! In real life, we're an Online Magazine for musicians. On youtube, we're synth nerds just focussing on the Sound and leave the talking to others. Well, the Abyss-Video... Let's put it this way: During a trade show and dozens of people waiting around you - one might forget to turn down the saturation knob. ;)
I'm not sure if you're familiar with the rock band "Chicago", but on their first album "Chicago Transit Authority" there was this crazy track called "free form guitar". The record came out in 1969, and that track was the filthiest, atonal, feedback experiment I've every heard. When I came across it I was like, "What the Fuck is this", no melody, vocals, drums or any discernible rhythem. I'm very skeptical that any definition of music can even accommodate it. It just pure chaotic madness! How I ever came to enjoy it still baffles me.
Maybe the saturation knob was exactly where it should have been, and it was my ears that just weren't ready to embrace it yet. You should check that track I was talking about, here's the link.

What are you running into the MIDI in?
For this video, we've simply connected the 0-Coast via MIDI with our DAW.
