I have the Deros and Deos, and they're the best sanders I've used other than the rotex. The only thing I dislike about them is the power cables. I've had a few fail. Where the relief part of the plug for the tool is, the copper strands must break with fatigue. Always seems to be where they go. They could have used some thicker stranded wire, but ease of motion would likely be affected.
I always found it fascinating that all of my sanders have variable speed (which I don’t use) standard but I have to out of my way to get variable speed on a grinder (which I do use).
@@nevyn6071 Considering the wide variation of applications and attachments, I don’t understand why fixed speed grinders even exist. I guess because people want cheap grinders, but it’s pretty wild they make separate brushless ones since you need everything necessary for variable speed control anyway. Hell, most of the ones that don’t have a speed selector dial have speed control built in anyway. They monitor the whole show and show down and speed up based on how much pressure you’re putting on the material.
I have the Metabo 2.5mm which looks the same. I love the low profile with the paddle. Ill probably get the new Makita XGT 5.0mm when it arrives as well for site work.
There's a "2"?! ... There's a "2"!! I've got the "1.5" (350W Bluetooth) which may have had the abysmal reliability fixed. (Even if we will never actually know. As, according to Mirka, there never was a reliability issue). I can't say I've ever needed more power. But have you used the older model? If so, do you notice less vibration? The mere thought of giving this horrible, horrible company even more money already hurts me. But even less tingly fingers would be tempting..
@sigi9669 I don't own the older version, but I would recommend watching hand-i-crafts video about sander if you want to see some comparisons. This sander is awesome and next on my list is the deos 2 I don't know if they are released outside of Europe, but they released here 3 months ago.
Thanks for the video, I was about to pull the trigger on the Makita BO6050J but now curious in this Mirka and the 3m sander. Any experience with the Makita B06050? This mirka sounds so much quieter than my Dewalt. Cheers from Los Angeles.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL well Tools, overnight I became a patron subscriber and purchased the xgt 5mm sander 😂 thanks once again from a viewer in the States happy Memorial Day weekend
Thanks for the interesting review. I chose a Festool 150mm ETS EC (5mm stroke) over the Mirka because at that time 3 years ago, I heard Mirka had some quality control issues. That said, I wouldn't discount them for a 150mm with a 3mm stroke. Having a battery on a sander that is supposed to be light is a paradox, especially when using dust extraction. When you said you could sand your deck with it, I swear I heard dick 😄
Quality from Finland!
finally, yellow tools that don't suck! and a bonus saturday video, let's goooo!
There is a bonus Sunday one tomorrow too!

what a good weekend for us

Boo hoo "First World problems" 😁
Gotta love the variable grinders. Smaller rooster tails, better controll as well as not melting ali or plastic as much.

1:45 NZ accent “deck” 😂
I am so happy that he didn’t demonstrate the sander on his “deck”.
When he first said "deck" I heard something else 🤣
I can't imagine what you heard.
Lol same
I can't speak for their tools, but when our supplier ditched Mirka sandpaper, we ditched our supplier as the subsequent stuff was completely inferior.

I just bought the deros 2🙌 it has a 400w motor, has less vibration and I'm hoping it's more reliable than the old older model😅

Can you please do the same with the Festool sanders? Haven’t found in at you recent videos.
Really like those abranet pads, they don't clog like normal sanding pads
Cubitron is better but they only make it for 6” and bigger. They do 220 in 5” but thats it.
The problem is which cubitron? 3M calls everything cubitron?
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL extract is no good, cant remember what its called but the mesh sheet cubitron is the best
@@kizzjd9578I've only seen mesh type pads from mirka at my local store
They tell me Mirka and Festool are the best sanders but I've never had an opportunity to use either one $$$$. I use Bosch myself
The Mirka style sander is worth the investment. Your hands and arms will thank you if you spend the money. Also look at Metabo. Not Metabo HPT.
Is it a NZ Vitex species? What was the other wood?
I wish more NZ tree plantations planted natives..
The vitex is from Solomon Islands as is the Akwa.
Great vid thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Cheeky little AEG box in the background. Wonder when that review is making an appearance 🤔

Wait, are we on Isla Nublar??
Was there dinosaurs in this video???
I haven't finished watching yet. I'll let you know!@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL
Turns out, no dinosaurs.
It might just be a coincidence, but in your title card music I could swear I could hear a little John Williams magic.
Less vibration is definitely worth paying more money.
Are you compare it with the new makita i hope the have the same power
The Makita's have plenty of power. What are you doing this time tomorrow...?
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL i hope watching the new video mirka vs new makita 🤣
You're right, it is better
I’ll stick with the festool sanders. I don’t like the stupid lever on the Mirka.
Meant to replicate a pneumatic and also why I too have Festool and no Mirka.
~$800? Yea, I think I'll stick with my ROS65
