I'm with you on that one. It's better to have over the power/performance/storage etc. than under. And spend more money to buy what you really needed again. Just Buy it once.

Not content creator, digital creator, photograph professional or gamer here but works demand fairly large RAM. My MBP 2019 with 32G RAM & 1TB SSD, the RAM utilisation run on average 28GB whereas my MacMini M2 used mostly at home have 24GB RAM & 1TB SSD occupy 18GB RAM on average. So my next MBP that suit my needs is M3Pro with 36GB RAM and 1TB SSD.

I bought Apple mbp top of line 10 years ago and it was worth it lasted longer at the prime level. Doing same with M3 Max. Just buy it once and hopefully it ages like LeBron
