As if Alabama needs another power house team in the State (Alabama, Auburn, now UAB). UAB Blazers looking good. Glad they brought Football back to their College. Now they can recruit good players from the Southeast area's.

I didn't have a chance to watch this game live; so the first thing that came out of my mouth from watching this was "Oh god; it's that announcer that did the ODU/VT game..."

To me, he sounds like the P.A. Announcer in that movie "Sideout."

That attendance is embarrassing for the conference. If it had been at North Texas it would have been a sell out.

Great game. But the spread was -2,-2. How the hell do they make these predictions? It's unbelievable.

I am tired of hearing how UAB lost their football program. They gave up on the program after a string of losing seasons in which they were terrible. Then in their final season Bill Clark got them back to a bowl and before the year was over they want to resurrect the program. Boo-hoo!!! Now that they are winning again they want to make a movie ... get a clue. You don't make movies about quitters who only want to play when they are winning. There is nothing inspiring about that ...

Are you dumb? UAB was losing tons of money because no one showed up for games. Or bought merch.
They didn't "give up" they had a winning season and bowl eligibility the year before.
UAB deserves a movie, they went from nothing to champions.
      You're just hating

@UCrAXLhN8d9CExVKJWr_mmmw they didn't quit, THEY HAD to shut down. There was no choice in the matter. They couldn't afford to keep uab running. No one wanted to shut down uab, hence the reason the people of birmingham raised a million or so dollars to have it brought back. You're acting like they just didn't care about football lmfao.

@UCrAXLhN8d9CExVKJWr_mmmw UAB wasn't just losing money, they were losing so much money it was hurting the college itself. And if you know anything about Birmingham..the whole city revolves around UAB, hurt college = hurt city

@@thestoobers7084 Maybe they had to ... I will have to take your word for it. And I also commend the people of Birmingham for their financial support. But one game with Alabama or any SEC school would have been worth a couple of million dollars. Far more than the fans could ever give. And when your a Group of Five school you have to take your lumps to get the checks from the Power Five. I know from my fan experience the injuries you sustain in those games can sometimes cost you your season, but there is plenty of money out there to be had if you are willing to play the games. I apologize if I am wrong, but it just seems like UAB (since their return) has not been willing to step up to the challenge. Like Marshall, they just want to play the easy teams and win a lot of games on the G5 level. But hey ... that strategy got them a CUSA championship and will keep them bowl eligible for years. Be blessed.
