My friend once told me “he’s too stupid to ever understand what that means”
When she sings "it's starting to hurt and I know you've moved on", jesus it's so cutting. In August 2007 I would have had this song on repeat for days.
Playing the villain in this was sooo much fun. Everyone was lovely. Weyes (AKA Natalie) was very creative and grounded. Fun fact, her eating that slop was beyond the pale, it stunk beyond belief but she insisted on this scenario which she created!!
Was that you in the video? tell us more about it, anything please, us fans love Natalie and her creative talents so much, and this video always brings me to tears.
@cybervision_1 My son was friends with the producer of the video and somehow they decided I was right for the part, the joke is my son recommended me to play a slimeball asshole. Met Natalie on set. A very sweet, intelligent, self assured, down to earth soul. She was in charge of the conceptual part and it all went easy. A fun day.

I love how honest she is in this song, no excuses. She admits her part and her pain and tries to move on. I am full of gratitude that i was able to find this.

This year a lot of acqantances and former friends of mine died (most by suicides or accidents who looked a hell like comiting suicides) and these lyrics are putting balm on my heart because I know that least they found peace....

The lyrics, the pink Floyd reminiscent drumming, the "when the stars are blue" influence and natalie's heavenly voice...the aching part between 2:46 - 3:33 makes me feel im alive yet out of this world. Understood but afloat, already drifted too far. I love this song so much.
That passage of music from 2:50 through 3:33 is about as beautiful as anything I've ever heard.

in this video, he tried to protect her and treated her with love and the final moments he hug her.
she was hurt from what the humans did to her (being sold for pictures) so she wanted to go home, ill say it again
