Thank you for posting this.Others can keep their negative comments. I saw them 3 times in 1972 & 1973 & Bryan twice since. Appreciate these legends and the impact they had on music whilst they're still here. Their music has the same effect on me now as it did then when they miraculously appeared on the Old Grey Whistle Test. Cannot wait to see them in Manchester on Wednesday 🙌❤️ 🥰 🎸
People can have their opinions, that's what it's all about. Bryan is still an incredible talent and surrounds himself with similarly talented people. It still makes for a great sound. Not what it was but I'd take it over the majority of today's 'talent'. Thanks Bryan....still.
Gillian you are so so right! I attended msg nyc sept 12 and they were winderful! What an iconic group with such a talented singer composer who for 50 years yes 50 years! has always been so ahead of time! Such a contribution to music and musicians! I truely do not understand negative comments!

Attended tonight and have been looking forward to this gig since I bought tickets. However. Completely disappointing, in fact the first hour was DIRE. Very poor sound and pathetic screen images behind the band all out of sync in hard on the eyes, Ferry’s solo concert in Glasgow armadillo a week b4 lockdown several years ago was much much better and more professional and memorable.
That’s a bummer. They were super tight in Chicago and I was looking forward to hearing abt their concerts in UK, since they are more beloved there than here.
I was there and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The sound was just fine from the cheap seats. The screen images did not work so well from a high up vantage point - the screens did not really line up, but they were fine.
They wrote some great songs when they were younger. However Bryan Ferry is older now and understandably at 77 the voice is completely weak and shot. Live bands with lead singers who's voices have gone are awful to watch, like with Macca and Rod Stewart. I get it some people want to go and remember nostalgically, but I'd prefer to keep the magical memory from the past rather than a lifeless memory from the present.
I disagree. I was there and Ferry was fine. Not what he was but it was still a great gig. I think he was careful with the songs selected. (There are plenty of younger singers who struggle to cut it live.)
Hardly anything from first 5 albums, hence tickets I bought I sold on once I saw the set list as couldn't bear all the Avalon cack. His voice just can't cut it anymore, sadly. As for Jealous Guy - one of the worst, from BF or John Lennon..awful track.
