I love Daniel's gig, I have loved each one of these. Its always sarcastic and hits hard.
and while i love this one for its comedic value, every time he turned the BJP's guy's statement into something negative, it became uncomfortable, pretty sure that guy went out of the show not having a lot fun.
Now i am no fan of BJP and their style of governance and it doesn't look like Daniel is either but there are millions who support and work for that party and not all of them are evil or stupid or brainwashed. And I don't think publicly targeting a guy for his choice(the reason we have no clue of) will make any difference, on contrary it will make him feel more isolated.
If you want to understand why people don't think the same way as you (which in your mind is right and obvious), you have a dialogue, discuss and figure it out and maybe put your perspective. And if they concur , you have one more person who can see, what they were not able to see before and in the process you might learn something as well from their perspective.
Politicians have agendas, common people generally have emotions or insecurities or anxiety or fear.
Those are my thoughts thought.

This is sad how they all gang up on the BJP volunteer..so much for tolerance. i think you just failed to catch up on the jokes. and it is nice to see a comedian actually taking the risk to talk about actual issues happening. he is taking a huge risk, mad respect for him. and usually, if I don't like a stand-up comedy.....i usually close the video halfway through. just saying tho.

But the people he was interacting with seemed cool enough, so I don't see how that's supposed to hurt me or you sitting at home comfortably.
Besides, Daniel is a great comedian, he can be considered as the first wave of comedians in our stand up scenario, and probably the first guy to bring in political satire into his routines while all that the others had to talk about was trips to Goa, fights amongstcouples, and F.R.I.E.N.D.S.... he is most about political dark humour. Ofcourse, now that so many, so called comedians coming up only have political controversies to pick on as their content, this will seem as one in many...but this Guy had started it way before it was in fashion in our country.

I hate all these standup comedians who come with an agenda. They don't have anything else.
I'm from Kashmir and the amount of hate I get online for 2 things (my religion and place of birth) is inexplicable.
It's like, even if I don't say anything and just comment "lol" on a video, I'll get two replies from people who just saw my name and nothing else; "F****** Terrorist" and "Go to Pakistan"...
And after all this abuse and alienation that we (as in, the normal people of Kashmir who have no political opinions, aam aadmi) have witnessed from fellow countrymen over all these decades, the same people will ask "array inki problem kya hai, why don't they love us?"
