The progress you've made as a rider since this video is impressive Nick. You're a good rider in this video but you're a great rider now!
Thanks!

Wow, those woods are beautiful
It’s hard to describe what it’s like being in there. Just great!
I can go their when ever i want because i live 2 minuets away
@@demlego1658 same but it's about a 5 min car ride on the blvd aha
When you went back up stuff to try it again, it finally showed the steepness. That was a really fun video.
It's so crazy now to see you've got over 1k subs. I was within the first 100 to subscribe and I love this channel so much!!
Ya it’s crazy! That’s awesome. Thanks so much!
I love this video. I’m mesmerised by this particular trail. But I suspect it would be well beyond my ability level in reality. Videos tend to make everything look easier and less steep than they actually are. Also, videos are often posted by pro-level riders flying down trails which they are very familiar with. That doesn’t bear much similarity to me riding! What I really enjoy about this video is that it kind of feels like I’m “discovering” the trail with you.
Great video, thanks.
Great skill man! Love that you go back to clean things the way you want. That trail looks so beautiful but wow super technical!!
Ya i found it to be pretty tight and technical. Sometimes a feature takes a few tries!
Just came across your vids today. Already watched 5. So good!! Keep up the great work!!
Thanks! Glad you like them!
I rode this for the first time yesterday and I would agree with the comments that it is and easy double black. For the most part the trail is comparable to single blacks other than a few features that make it double black. Still a great challenge though with some classic Fromme rock and wood work! Thanks for the video
That teeter totter is definitely a lot easier these days. The run in is smoother and the actual teeter totter is wider. Thankfully :)
Here in the NW those wood obstacles, the roots etc get so darn slick in the rain! Makes me want to tackle them only after I put my bubble wrap suit on!
Ya they can make a green trail into a double black! Ha
Such a cool a cool trail! Love the vid!
It’s pretty cool. Lots of unique features!
VanCan will be in Vancouver in 3 weeks! Staying in North Vancouver. Really close, gonna try to get to this trail. Thanks!
Pedal Paradise - so many good trails on Fromme. Try Expresso if you want flow and Pipeline If you want Tech skinnies.
Very cool video! Definitely a lot better than what I would do on trails like that.
I would say that from my experience ladies only is one of the easier double black trails on the shore.
Ryan Stewart - which one did you think was the hardest? I’ll add it to the list!
Cypress - 5th Horseman, Wild Cherry. Fromme - Skull.
On Fromme: Skull or Lower Ladies. On a wet day Grannies beats both of them.
It has to do with following ‘Whistler Standard’ rating system. Ther width (or narrowness) of the skinnies and height of some other trail features, as well as the teeter totter and wooden drop set the rating to double black. Some riders aren’t challenged by skinnies, others are intimidated. It becomes a question of personal preferences in the end.
Agree for Fromme. Some stuff is just obviously double black like Larvicide, Intestinal Fortitude and Grin n Holler in Squamish, or Bush Doctor, Green Monster, Zanarchy/Gargamel in Whistler... due to sustained steeps and technical rock moves.
Speaking of keeping your Leanse clean, I’d recommend applying a hydrophobic product once in a while. Something like rainX. It’ll work for anything moist, mud, water, etc. keep up with the candid dialogue during your vids!
I’ll try it out!
Gotta like that water feature.
Wow, this makes our trails in Ohio look like pavement. Great video and great job, especially with it being wet!
Ya this trail can be tricky! Wet wood is the scariest!
You guy are so lucky for choice around there. Such a cool trail!
MTB Trail Magic this is the promise land for mountain bikers!
All the trails in BC look so sweet and super interesting to ride. Nothing as varied as that in the UK!
Ya we’re pretty lucky!
Only 1k subs? The video quality is amazing!
Thanks! Not even 1k 😝, but it’s all for fun!
Solid 1st decent down Ladies only. I'm compelled to tell you that you missed an iconic feature on the trail Big stupid. It's hard to see but the trail forks at 12:45. If you go left you will find 2 steep rock rides. One is longer and aptly named "The Big Stupid".
Lower Ladies Only is quite a step up in difficulty from this. Some moves with big consequence if you go wrong!
Great video! Ladies is techy for sure but Cypress has way more difficult offerings
Definitely! I’ve got a video of 5th horseman coming out soon, that trail had some serious gnar on it!
with more flow. this is almost like trials, kind of annoying
On Fromme I thought upper oil can's features are harder.
But there are loads of way harder trails to discover.
Fromme is covered in forgotten trails. There's some pretty insane shit hidden in the woods.
great
Wild Digger spotting @ 13:40
this is the best response :) :) :)
Looks like fun!
It is!
You need more subs!
Haha thanks! Tell your friends!
Nice job on Barts!
David Dean - it may have taken a few more tries than I showed... it’s a bit tricky!
Keep it up man 👌🏻 I can already tell that you will be successful like bkxc and many others
Thanks!
@vancan maybe if you get some of that shoe wax that keeps shoes and clothing from getting wet it will keep the camera dry and clean. the water droplets and mud would just roll right off
Ifht did a vid part at that creek section. In their first time at the north shore vid. I’m pretty sure that’s the spot
North Shore has mellowed out last ten years. All the teails I learned to ride on and love have been forgotten and most removed. My favs, Jerry Rig, Groovula, Walk in the clouds, GMG, Flying circus, air supply, pink Starfish. Ladies is awseome and so is Espresso and a few others like upper oil can, Crinkum crankum and Boundry. They have really buffed them out though and much easier then when I got into the sport. Still tons of fun to be had and I don't mean to be a downer, just miss the rough natural lines and the built structures I learned on.
you can still find gnar, upper oil can ?
...not to mention the fact that we were riding hardtails with 2" Judy's suspension, and cantilever breaks back then.
If you’re interested, I wrote a story about GMG. I’ve been very fond of the trail, even thought I never got to see it in its prime. I’m only 21, so I tried my best to make the story accurate, but I don’t know every detail because I wasn’t around back then. If anyone is in contact with the original builders, I’d like to hear their thoughts on the story.
www.wattpad.com/957889513-legends-gmg
And I should add that the characters are all fictional.
@@FilledWithRage Jerry, Mike and Gabe built that GMG trail. Some good challanges on that trail. I was about 21 when I found it and started riding it. The classic "Ogo Flogo" is found on that one. A nice hike reveals some of the old structures but almost all of them are in ruins now.
Did you mean Fromme. Your title says Seymour. Nice vid as always! Also just wondering if your Norco is a 27.5 or 29?
Jack Yagodkin I did mean Fromme. Oops! My range is a 27.5.
Thats a really cool line but I’m from Germany that’s a bit to far away 😅
You'll have to make a trip across the pond 😝
nice video
That stuff terrifies me
lets get this vid to 1000 likes come on
Don't pay attention to the crane sitting in the water :P
wow that looks hard to the point of "not so fun". I feel like I would leave there thinking I suck and wanting to quit mountain biking lol.
You think that at first. Then you ride it again. And again. And again. Then you get it dialled!
It's super fun!
Think I missed it somewhere but What kind of bike do you have. Looks awesome!
It’s a 2017 Norco Range C7.3
VanCan Nice. Its beautiful. That's some serious wheels.
This Trail look so hard but Crazy good
It's the good kind of hard!
VanCan Exactly
so I'm new to the channel which bike do you ride?
I’ve got a 2017 norco range c7.3 and a 2017 YT Tues Cf
Empress huck line is the hardest
What gimbal are you using?
kartman707 I’ve got the hero 5 black in the karma grip
I think upper oil can is the hardest trail on north shore
Rad footage 🤙 #mahalomydude
Calvin Lee thanks!
I thought (Upper) Ladies is a single black -- Lower Ladies get the double black label
They're both rated double black on Trail Forks, but Lower Ladies does have more gnar.
Do I feel like BC has the nicest MTB trails in the world? cause of its nature sights and the mountains?
I think it's probably the best!
I hate how small the GoPro makes everything seem too.
Looks easy until you're there!
9:21 did you see that bird in the water to your right?
Ha yup. It’s not real unfortunately
9:18 beautiful heron on the right
It's a local icon....and it's plastic.
next Seth's bike hacks
Love the vids
Cheers from France
Thanks!
Who pays for / maintains the wood features on the trails?
This website has all the answers!
nsmba.ca
And if you feel like donating that helps a lot too 😀
you could use some trials skills for that rock drop ;)
Vancity Trials - that could definitely help!
come to the trials park one day :)
What about the nonsense thats over on Cypress. First time ive been terrified in a long time riding that haha
Those are unsanctioned ;p , but ya, there's some crazy stuff in the woods.
Do you have a Strava?
Graye Wasden I do, but I don’t use it very often.
do you live near burnaby mountain secondary school
Ya I live in that area!
same i go on sfu trails but going to the north shore soon
That trail needs some smooth birms. Itd suck if you ran into a stump..
Ya it’s some old school tech!
VanCan it looks cool. Just some parts seems like your back tire was slipping up on the turns.
This is a double black diamond🤨
Yup. It’s not super crazy but slippery when wet!
Ride this on a xc hardtail and you'll realize why it is double black
That would be tricky!
You missed the whole bottom part... Lower ladies
well if you wanna get lots of views... hit the wardens gap
That does not look fun at all. Top vid though
It’s pretty tech! But I like it.
On the North shore you don't ride the trail the trail rides you
No ladies only is not the hardest trail on the shore. 5th horseman on cypress is.
Jackson Dean I’ll add it to the list and check it out!
GMG is offended.
Darren Leary I just found out about GMG, I’m going to check it out!
I have no idea what condition its in these days. Last time I rode it was 2004. Live on the Island now. Let me know if you ever head to the Comox Valley.
True. GMG makes Ladies Only seem like a wheelchair-accessible paved path in the park by comparison. Is it still rideable though? I still get goosebumps thinking about the time I rode/survived it. Ladies Only is just good, clean fun.
