Nah, he's better than a hero. Dude actually removes POS of the earth. Not try to "rehabilitate" them (actual serious crimes. Not petty ones). Like the time he beat a human trafficker.
Dude, you should read punisher max, it explains a lot of the character, in a monologue he himself tells how he has a nightmare in wich he kills every murderer, every rapist, every corrupt politician to then ask who let those people live in the first place, to wich he points the gun to the average guy and he wakes up as he feels the recoil.

Moral compass? Batman is a violent narcissist that uses trauma to justify his actions. Dude beats criminals within an inch of their life and throws them in Arkham.. Sure, Castle murders bad people, but Batman IS a Direct accomplice of Joker. He chooses not to cripple him, put him in a chair forever, or make him a quadriplegic, or take care of him permanently. Nope, instead he chooses to allow the psychopath who is also a master Houdini to continue killing.
He does that by letting the judicial system do its job. Faith in the system is the only way Gotham doesn't need a Batman. Everyone blames Batman like there are dozens of cops, judges, attornies, and psychiatrists that couldn't have done something. Even just deciding he's fit for trial and doesn't need to go to Arkham. Can't have that. Can't be killed by ANYONE other than the Bat. So he'll wait it out for a few years. He knows THEY will get bored of "all mischief, no malice" soon enough.
I agree, Joker in not just a criminal anymore, He is now a mass murdering terrorist and if Batman continues to protect him at the expense of innocent victims, he is an accessory to all Jokers crimes and warrants should go out for his arrest.
Punisher is just doing what batman's too afraid to do, actually getting rid of the criminal instead of repeating the same mistakes over and over and over again.
I like how in recent decades that DC has at least tried, and somewhat succeeding, in showing a good reason as to not kill The Joker as with Injustice Superman, Batman Who Laughs, Three Jokers, and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, that whoever takes out Joker will be the next Joker, or something worse than the Joker ever was.
Yeah, and the worst thing is that they leave more interesting villains like Bane, Two-Face, Mr Freeze or the Court of Owls aside just because they want to push the Joker to sell more
Imagine what would happen if the people of Gotham found out that Batman stopped Castle from killing the Joker. He absolutely didn't need to save the Joker here but he did so anyway. The people of Gotham would hang up with his own cape.
Joker wasn't scared of the Punisher because he doesn't have a moral code, it's because he wants to be remembered. Take Injustice for example, Joker corrupted Superman and Superman took over the world. Joker may have died, but he would forever be known as the guy who changed the world. He made his mark on the world and there's nothing anyone could do about it. That's why he's scared here. If he dies to Frank, then he's just another criminal the Punisher gunned down. He's not special, he didn't do anything life changing. He's nothing, nobody. He dies as another common thug, just another name in the long list of Frank's victims. And that's what terrifies him beyond belief.
Wait, Frank, just a brawler? No. Absolutely not. We've seen Batman get injured by untrained brawlers. Frank is not untrained. Frank has been trained, and can fight exceptionally well. This part of the comic really bugs me.
@j-sant-animations8105 seems like that's how Batman comics are all written these days. They nerf anyone fighting against him, but buff Batman himself. Batman has the strongest plot armor in all of comics because the writers say so. It's like they're scared of writing him as having any kind of limitations or weaknesses.
I’m tired of the stories showing Batman as a dumbass. I want more like the time he just let Joker die and went to save Harley Quinn (who was trying to kinda start anew at the time I think) and Joker just blew up.
I've always had a theory Harley was a victim of jokers chemical expertise . My evidence bieng from the 90s cartoon Harley and the victims both have yellow cat eyes and teeth . And a wide smile . I think the make up she uses is laced because the cartoon is kinda based on the 89 movie and joker tainted beauty supplies and thats why batman was so quick to trust her . Because he knows that deep down she cant live with what she did and needs to atone and at the same time own that persona and also at this point the chemical damage is permant but not so serve that shes a unrealable family member 🤔
"He is just a brawler, pure rage and brute strength." Tell me this was written by a Batman fanboy without telling me it was written by a Batman fanboy... Punisher's one of the few characters who plans and plans and plans almost as much as Batman, he just does so with lethal intent.

Can someone please tell me why they don’t just lobotomize Joker already like they did in that one episode of Justice League? It made him sane in that timeline!
That's the real answer. People keep blaming Batman, but Joker would already be dead in a more real world. He was supposed to die in his first appearance. No one truly stays dead in the comics.
My absolute favorite Punisher moment was way back in a little know Marvel UK comic called Death’s Head 2 issue 4 (I think). In the the opening pages you see an apocalyptic earth where this big bad named Charnel was attacking Spider-Man, the Punisher, and a few others. I don’t remember exactly what the heroes had that this bad guy wanted (probably the only thing that could defeat him) anyhow Frank had it and Charnel said “Give it to me and I’ll make your death quick and painless.” and Frank’s reply was to throw it to someone else so they could get away with Frank turning back with just a knife saying through a smile “What were you saying about pain?”
While Punisher rarely engages in hand-to-hand he isn't "just a brawler", he has extensive training in military close combat. True, he is no match for Batman, but he can fight without guns.

These are one of the few times Joker was actually scared. Other than the time when he tried to play a prank on Superman he took it serious where it wasn't even fun for the Joker. Punisher on the other hand is the direct opposite of what Batman's code is and the moment Joker saw this he was shitting himself. If Batman never intervened he would have been a dead man.
Joker doesn't fear dying; he fears dying for nothing. If Batman kills Joker, the Joker wins because he will just be a victim for society, but if the Punisher kills him, he will just be another low-life thug that The Punisher wiped from the streets.
The Punisher not a brawler. He knows every martail art just like Batman only Punisher wasnt trained by the League of Assassin's like Batman. Never forget that Punisher has beaten DareDevil on multiple occasions, who is equal to Batman, and Punisher has no qualms or morals with killing holding him back.
And it’s stuff like this that makes me hate the whole superhero genre. Get Superman to use the phantom zone generator on the worst criminals like the Joker. Villains who are Irredeemable
Mfers be like "Batman should kill Joker already" like, what's literally stopping anyone else though considering Batman literally won't? Like you just just wait until Bats is preoccupied with something and just snipe Joker from a rooftop. Hell Joker makes a big show outta everything, you're telling me no one civilian owns a gun in Gotham and is willing to shoot Joker during a monologue? Red Hood almost did it but insisted on making a show out of it and luring Batman to him, coulda shot the J-man from square 1. Joker's been arrested countless times, not one cop is willing to risk prison or getting fired to just shoot a literal terrorist? Why doesn't Batman kill Joker? Iunno probably for the same reason no one else does.
The fuck? That's not true. If the writer can't come up with new interesting things then the writer is a coward or not that good at creating original ideas. @@glitchedoom
The in universe explanation it's because most people in Gotham including villains know that Joker is coming back eventually, and they don't wanna have him coming for them when he does When it comes to heroes, they usually leave it to Batman because it either isn't their city, they feel like Batman needs it, or Batman stops them to save Joker, the one time he didn't was because Harley made a situation where he had to choose between saving Joker's life of hers
The thing about the Joker is that he doesn’t want to be killed by anyone EXCEPT Batman (and sometimes Superman), he wants to be the one to make the Superhero break their No Killing Rule, any other type of death would be unsatisfying.
Ironically, the dumb mind games Joker likes to play with people do NOT work on Castle. Castle KNOWS he is a killer and doesn’t care or apologize for it; because his results speak for themselves. Punisher had better results versus the Joker after only 1 fight; compared to the countless encounters Batman had with the Joker. How necessary IS Batman since his methods against the most vile criminals always seem ineffective? They always escape and do more harm to others with no resolution (no justice or punishment)

I wish a crossover like this was possible nowadays as a result of Injustice and the dark multiverse existing in DC comics that gives us Injustice Superman, and The Grim Knight who are what Frank Castle is, but who didn’t stop and became worse monsters than those they were fighting against. It be interested to see someone like The Punisher confront these individuals, where it be like looking into a mirror and it challenging him on where does he cross the line to not become like these twisted individuals, or if what those like Batman, Spider-Man, Daredevil, and etc have actual substance in why they don’t like like he does.
I would like to see Heath Ledger's version of Joker in this scenario. I think he was smart enough and fearless enough that if he had just enough heads-up on what Punisher was all about he could have gotten into his head too. Not saying Punisher wouldn't still kill on sight and that he wouldn't be a harder nut to crack than Batman....just that THAT Joker wouldn't make it so easy. He'd have something up his sleeve that muddied the water enough and confused Frank enough that he'd still be a worthy adversary. He'd have to KNOW beforehand that Frank absolutely will shoot him dead with no hesitation though. Give him that and he'd figure something out..

He is pretty much a Jason Todd Red Hood in his eyes and we already knows he doesn’t tolerate that.

A place where villains escape on the daily. And he knows this. There is no way he doesn't with all the info he has at his disposal. He does this so he can keep up the charade. Ffs how long has he been batman yet, Gotham is still a cesspool of crime? He's a billionaire playboy and what does he do? Does he use he wealth to fix his beloved city? No, he spends money of high tech vehicles and secret bases so he can dress up and beat dudes up while dressed as a bat. Batman IS a villain. Or at the very least criminally insane.
Punisher is NOT just a brawler. Not Batman level but not a pub drunk either.
Send him to Black gate to wait for the electric chair. Some cop or former victim assassinate him anywhere. They'd probably get found not guilty.

Bruce Wayne needs Batman more than Gotham.
"We in the Gotham PD can't give The Joker the Electric Chair, because DC needs to sell more comic books!"
So he doesn't want to die at the hands of someone who will later say "for me it was Tuesday."
