Hello, I have a problem that maybe you can help me! I do the same steps as you in Cubase Pro 12 but when I make a copy of the vowel and pass it through VariAudio to create a harmony, it affects the original track in the same way and does not allow me to make harmonies to the voice since it lowers or raises the pitch the same. next to the original track! Please could you help me with this? thank you very much for your videos
Hi John. This is Orrin Bynum again. I’ve been watching more of your videos and I am still learning a few things from you. However; I have a few more questions about this VariAudio Scale assistance. Does this VariAudio Scale Assistance work the same way in the New Cubase 13? I am still trying to get my harmonies straight in Cubase 12, using my own voice. I do want to upgrade but, I fear that I will be totally lost in making my harmonies if I upgrade to Cubase 13. I have not seen anyone do a video on using VariAudio Scale Assistance in Cubase 13. So, will you tell me if this same principle will work in Cubase 13, please? Your consideration given to my request will be greatly appreciated. As usual, I continue to wish great success with all of your music videos and all of your music endeavors and I wish you financial success as well. Have a wonderful day.
Yep, he is Top Notch. His use of LANGUAGE, selection of WORDS and most importantly, articulation and SEQUENCING (unfolding) of the concepts . . . is SECOND to NONE 😁👌👌

Good morning to you. This is the first time that I have stumbled on to one of your videos. I really enjoyed watching it and will continue to follow you in the future. I have watched this video about 4 times and I would like to know how did you highlight one of the vocal lines in just one click? Would you please respond to this question? That was a very nice step that I would like to learn. I am trying my best to learn how to use my own voice to make my own harmonies using vari-audio in Cubase 12. Your video is helping me out tremendously. However I am still getting a little confused. I am going to keep watching this video over & over again until I am able to do the very same thing that I have watch you do but, I want to use my voice to do so. So I am thanking you now for your demonstration and I wish you continued success with all of your musical endeavors for the future and much more prosperity as well. Thank you again young man.
Hello! Thank you so much! I’m glad I was able to help you! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 The way I select all the notes is by pressing Cmd + A on Mac ( Ctrl + A on PC ) which is the select all shortcut. Make sure you are clicked inside of the Piano Roll first. I hope this is what you were asking for! 🙏🏽
I enjoyed this video very much. I am going to try to duplicate what I seen you. I hope I can get my harmonies to sound as great as you did in this video with your song. I wish you continued success with all of your music and your videos and I am wishing you greater financial success as well. Have a wonderful day.
is it possible to have different scales in one bar, or for example 24 different scales in 24 bars? Does it have scales like harmonic major, melodic minor or diminished halftonewholetone or third halftone scales?
Bro I try to duplicate the vocal and when shift that duplicate track..both change together..that original and duplicate. What the solution to this..please help.
Great tutorial, you could mention that this sounds no good, and it would be great to show different ways of harmonization, and show how we can get har monies that actually sound good as well
I was trying the generate harmonies to a vocal and when I try and move a singe note it snaps back to the original position. How is this done? Killer vids btw!
Hi Matt! Nice to see you again! Thanks for checking out the video! Yeah, that actually happened to me yesterday… it seems to be a glitch I’m sure future updates will make that more consistent. I closed the application and tried again and it worked! I hope this helps! 🙏🏽
@@Johnmunstudios this is also my problem. i close my Cubase many times. but when i come back. when i adjust the duplicate vocals the original vocals also adjusted as same as the duplicate 😭
@@dennisramirez1989 this is a bit of a late reply but the problem your having with the original audio being altered at the same time as the copy isn’t a glitch, you have to bounce the copy first so it creates a different file name. That way when you go to change pitch on your copy track, it doesn’t effect the original track. Surprised the guy doing this tutorial didn’t say this in the video :/ he must have done it off camera
cool vid....just a question if anyone knows how to redirect. i'm transitioning full scale from ableton ....every time i copy and paste...or duplicate an audio event...let's say vocal....and then create my harmony...it is copying the move back on to the original event....nice in same cases if you're copying and pasting across an arrangement on the same track, but when you're specifically going for harmony line on a separate track....surely there is something that i'm not pressing....obviously a workaround is to render in place..but that's counter productive and time consuming and no one else...also here on this tutorial is doing this....any suggestions?
i love that you focused 100% on THE CONCEPT in the TITLE of the video, and that you did Not wander off into the IRRELEVENT but TEMPTING diversion into fixing the robotic texture of the harmony and end up LOST in the woods with out-of-topic concepts 😁👏👌👌

what I really need, is for someone to make a video, about how to convert audio to MIDI, in Cubase.
GREAT INFO! I'M MISSING SOME TOOLS IN MY SAMPLE EDITOR WINDOW MUTE, SPLIT TOOLS ETC.. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO.😊

Do the articulations remain the same for all the other tracks that you were changing to create the harmonies to scale assistance

I do not see the “Keyscape” when opening the instrument dialog? What is missing?
Thks in advance
CNJ
Well Keyscape is a third party VST. It does not come with Cubase.
I hope this answered your question!

Yes, just choose the quality from the drop down menu.
Will the audio track now follow the chord track, too? Studio One has done that for awhile
Want to ask if Cubase AI also has a Variaudio Scale feature?
I believe it’s only the Pro version. More information can be found here and you can compare versions!

Can you offset harmonies against eachother?
Not sure exactly what you mean, but yeah you can do virtually anything harmonically!
Hope this helps!

Why do those harmonies sound so artificial?
Because of the sample I used.
