what to do with CC curves not lining up with midi notes anymore?

I have a lot of faders and Knobs in my midi controller, but I can only add up to 8 qc options, and I would like to also control volume and other options in the plug ins

This is NOT the way to go. With this method you are creating a new instance of whatever instrument plugin for every single pitch after the dissolve. Got a Groove Agent loaded up with, oh, I dunno, 16 pads fully loaded and programmed into an event? Dissolve Part will create 16 additional instances of Groove Agent. Do it from within a rack instrument, then after dissolving, assign the tracks to a seperate output (after activing the required amount of outputs ofcourse).

I got this one shortly before a massive stroke, I re-recorded 200+ tracks on it and still haven't utilized a single knob .. I was quite an expert in synths before so I get back to this video once a while :)

One question I have not been able to find the answer: do you need to have your VSTs/Plugins installed on the second [networked] computer ? Do you need to have two licenses, i.e. one for the main computer and one for the second [networked] computer or just one license for the second computer ? Thanks !!

I really like the way you explain things John. I am going to watch all of your Cubase videos and adapt your workflow because you are really good at what you do. I can find very few people on youtube who can explain things the way it is supposed to.

I mapped Keylab Essential 88 to Cubase 13 faders but how do I get them to control volume of mixer faders now? Also now the Keylab Essential 88 no longer sends messages to play notes when keys are pressed.

wait wait wait! 800 tracks? 800?! I mean, I totally get where you are coming from, but I've stress tested my Mac Pro 2013 12 -core Xeon 128gb ram and ableton starts glitching out completely around 300. The CPU is around 30-40% and about 10-20gb ram is used, but the app itself is unable to stream more than 250 "tracks" in ableton. What's the catch? I also want an 800 track template! (most of then are for routing anyway..)

Excellent instructional video! It's the third one I watched on this topic and the only one that really explained it. Sadly I was unable to find this information searching for keywords such as "loop" and "repeat" in the manual but thankfully I found your video :-)

I'd also use 'snap to zero crossing' (left of snap to grid) so when you apply a key marker it is cleaner

I'm still using this as a guide over 4 years later. I'm not at all no means a pianist, I don't know how to play at all, though I'm willing to learn now that I have some free time and have the money. I've found one used for less than 100 bucks, and I feel like it's a worthy investment! Thank you for the video!
