How technolegy has changed. Went from a very weird shaped plane to jet engines capable of almost like 10,000 pounds of thrust or more. Insane diffrences 🤯

Hey people! Brazilian here. Fun fact for you: I live in a city that is 49km away from the city where Santos Dumont was born. The city where he was born was called Palmira, and in 1932 it was renamed Santos Dumont in honor, a name that continues to this day. There is a museum where his home was, with historical items and even an airplane. The main entrance to the city has a 1:1 scale model of the original plane.
And second fun fact: it's the same city where my father was born.

Fun fact: the wright flyer didn’t actually need a catapult to take off. It could actually take off under its own power. The reason the used the catapult was, when they were doing their flights to the public. When they did their flights to the public, the wright brothers wanted a short take off, so they used the catapult.
