Dude I'm using a similar one mine is 2010 Core i7 2.93Ghz (QuadCore) with 16GB RAM a decade old and still works like a champ my daily for everything, no complains.
Hey there - I finally made it over here to watch your video. Excellent job. I learned something. Didnt know that apple on the back was where the antenna is for wifi. Smooth editing. Nice explanations. Are you enjoying it so far?
i always felt like my imac 27 was not near as fast I expected it to be, and I was always amazed how hot it ran, and after one and a half years and barely ever using it, my hard drive and dvd both had to be replaced, and of course not under warranty, I think I only used the dvd like 3 times, now around a year and a half later, I start the computer up and I hear a sound i never heard before, it was a fan turning on for the 1st time, in 3 years i never new it had a fan inside, I am so pissed off
I have the computer model but with a different configuration. CPU: 2.8GHz Intel Core i5 RAM: 4GB (recently upgraded to 16GB) GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5750 1GB SSD: 1TB
I can't afford to get a new iMac. My Early 2009 24" model will do just fine until I need a new one in 8 years. I've at least upgraded my RAM from 4 to 8. I like the difference. Except I will have to deal with the old intel chip, it's still sufficient...for the next 2-3 years.
You sir are one fortunate S.O.B(with all due respect). I wish I could own all of those apple products. Or at least a MacBook Pro cuz I want one so bad.
As much as I really admire the newest imac design (as I have the first aluminum imac 20 " - I find it odd that the new keyboard is missing a numeric pad. It is cool though that the keyboard and mouse included are now wireless.
I could not help noticing the reflection of the window in back. Has the glare been an issue for you? I am very sensitive to glare and since apple does not have an anti-glare option for the Imac I have been hesitating to buy one.
Hey awesome computer. I am hoping to buy a 27 inch imac i7 2.93 ghz with 8gb ram with 1gb ati radeon 5750 video card. Hey with your computer specs would it run flight sim x with no problems considering flight sim x is a demanding game to play? Cheers
G'day Awesome computer. I am very interested in buying an apple imac 27 inch with an i7 processor, 8gb ram, 2.93Ghz ,HHD 1TB, ATI 5750 1GB. I was wondering if you could just for for me run flight sim x on your apple imac because I would like to see how it runs. Also would this tpe of computer with flight sim x run ok with flight sim x add ons such as wilco. Cheers
How would you rate the internal speakers? I have the same Klipsch desktop speaks as you and I'm really hoping that the imac speakers (I just purchased a reburb 2010 model) are good enough for music that I can re-purpose the Klipsch speakers. Obviously with no subwoofer there will be a drop in bass but would you say the imac speakers are better than average?
@lukibudi Well you can always install Windows on Macs, and use the apps that are just too important to you, but just try to use Mac as your main OS and only use Windows when you really need it. I know its hard at first, but soon you'll feel more comfortable with a Mac, that's how i let go of Windows.
Hey DetroitBORG, I am looking for a new desktop computer and I would like to know if a 27" iMac is good in terms of sizes... Is the extra money worth it?
@DetroitBORG Thanks for the info! My iMac should be in on Monday. 27" in. with 4GB of RAM, 1 TB hard drive, & iWork preinstalled. About how long will it take to install OS X?
Im gonna buy one of these and can someone tell me is imac 27´´ intelcore i5 16GHZ ram good for playing games like battlefield 3 whit good graphics can someone awser quicly as possiple
You people realise that you can get a much higher specification for the money if you bought a PC...the only thing Apple has going for them is being pretty.
This Mac looks BEYOND AMAZING at that time!! Very well engineered!!
It's great to see how much you've improved with your unboxings and editing. You've just gotten better and better!

A keyboard without the num pad is a fail in my book. Otherwise, this looks like a killer machine.

@DetroitBORG Thanks a lot, I just ordered it 5 minutes ago... I think the 27" i7 will be the perfect choice for me!
As much as I really admire the newest imac design (as I have the first aluminum imac 20 " - I find it odd that the new keyboard is missing a numeric pad. It is cool though that the keyboard and mouse included are now wireless.
The glare at the end would annoy me so much!!!
Cant wait to get mine!
This might sound real stupid mate but where did you get your desk? Im in need of a nice looking desk and yours caught my eye
Ok, I know nothing about macs, but where is the hard drive or is it all in the monitor, because if it is, thats awesome.

Looks EXACTLY like my 27" (mid 2011) iMac. Really no cosmetic changes in 7 years ?? Really ?
How do you buy all your apple stuff and also where was your 24" iMac!?!?
I wish Apple still made the 27in iMac. I hate the new one.
i think that the vent is a subwoofer

You bought all that?!
@DetroitBORG Absolutely!

@DetroitBorg@ I'm thinking of buying the iMac 21.5" 2.06 GH 500 GB. Do you think I must wait for the next version or buy this one?please reply!
Do you leave your USB cables plugged in to your Mac, even when nothing is connected to the other end like you iPhone, iPad, or iPods? or
@iGlaube Yes, all there :)
Did anybody else cringe at 2:28 when the iMac hit that lamp? ouch! I hope the iMac didn't get chipped!

@DetroitBORG im not talking abount the kensigton lock, there is a big vent/grill behind the stand. What is that?
Never do the memory upgrade directly from the Apple online store, do it yourself, that way you save a lot of money.
Sir, with all due respect, What is your salary?
2017
@iTouchMyiPodTouch1 I love my new iMac.
شكلت لربك من فتحتها :( اررررريد :(
Hi, Mike, I think there is a mistake in the title of this video. Intel i7-based processors didn't exist 8 years ago when this video was uploaded :D
Yes, they most certainly did. The Core i7 has been around since 2008.
can u make a setup video please ? :D
With all respect, may I ask what you do for a living? :O

Yes. That’s the iMacs whole point
@DetroitBORG Thanks for the info! Your videos are awesome by the way.
