In some ways society seems to be suddenly losing its tolerance for homosexuality and for cross-dressing unless it is also tied up with gender identity. Transitioning with hormones (as you know) is pretty hard on the body and risky health-wise and I don't want society to confuse young gay and/or gender non-conforming kids into thinking that all of them are trans (and that if trans, that necessarily means they need medicalization). Yes. She does seem to have a great sense of humour. I love her even more after seeing this.
K.D. has the most beautiful laugh, hands down.
If anyone is interested: Barry wrote two very good books. One was called Women in the Background, the other was a memoir of growing up in Melbourne. The title I've forgotten, but he really could write. He was a very, very talented man and will be missed.
Dame Edna's autobiography was called My Gorgeous Life. I've got a copy. It was hilarious 😂
I am so sad that She passed away.
Barry was a genius. An Aussie for the ages.
Still my favourite Dame Edna clip out of all the brilliance she has delivered to us all … RIP … truly missed ❤
What a beautiful voice KD Lang has.
Barry Humphries was a genius. The set up on that "When did you first know you were Canadian?" joke was masterful.
