Cultivating old-fashioned homesteading skills in baby steps will keep you from feeling over-whelmed and motivated. In this video I share tips that helped me transition from city life to homesteading life in the Texas Hill Country.
I’m guessing it’s too late for this year but it would be so helpful if you could show us how you manage a Thanksgiving feast with your style of cooking from scratch and as much from the farm as possible
Thank you for watching! What a good idea to show how we manage using mostly what we produce. I can tell you we really don't make the typical Thanksgiving dishes that everyone else makes.
@@texasfarmsteadliving-caren9517 I kind of thought your Thanksgiving meal may be a bit different and lots healthier. Any recipe ideas would be so appreciated
How did you learn to cook/bake without a recipe? I would like to learn. I make kefir too! Do you have any kefir recipes on your blog? I will be looking after I finish watching this! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
I have been cooking for a very long time so this helps. We, for the most part eat what we grow or raise and eat in the season. This does make things more simple because I am improvising and substituting for ingredients that I have on hand. Yes, we do have kefir recipes on our channel and blog. Kefir is an important part of our diet. Thank you for watching!
