As someone who is prone to fainting, I think it's important to point out that fainting in theaters is often a result of the environment and not just what's playing on the screen. People prone to fainting are often affected by air pressure, electrical sounds and flickering lights, smells, and the panic of realizing they can't easily and safety get out of the situation once the spins come on. I've fainted just waiting in line at the grocery store because of things like that!
Yes definitely. When I watch movies at home in my bed I can deal with pretty much anything, but I can get woozy in theaters just because of the environment. It can be overwhelming!

I usually complain about having to wait weeks (or months) to watch movies in the cinema in Spain. But Terrifier 3 being released literally on Halloween day is too funny so I don't mind 😂 and all of these reviews only make me more excited to watch it!
"Only for Gore hounds" Sounds like I'll be leading the pack. Thanx for the spoiler free review. ' more stoked than ever, and even more because I'll be getting an Art The Clown action figure very soon. I loved Terrifier and Terrifier II, and I hope they don't cut down on that type of gore.
This is my MOST anticipated horror film of the year and I am so stoked I get to eatch it opening night with my boyfriend (we miraculously both managed to get off the same night for it) because I introduced him to Art when we met by showing him the first Terrifier on Shudder before the second one came out. Then he was unable to see the second one at my Fathom event showing and I had to rewatch with him when it came on Peacock later that month. This will be our first theater experience with Art together and I have to say, I cannot wait to eat popcorn with him and us cackle at all the gore and what looks to be a packed theater's reaction to it😂
I wholeheartedly agree with you about Terrifier 2. Not in the same league as the first film. For me, Terrifier 2 has some real nasty over the top scenes, too much torture porn for me. I don't like Hostel at all and some of the gore in Terrifier 2 struck me in the same way. The thing about Art The Clown in Terrifier (and in All Hallows Eve) is that he is truly terrifying (to put that into context, I'm greatly disturbed by clowns in the first place; they are a frightening species). Something to do with his face paint, his mannerisms, he don't talk, he is evil personified. Art The Clown makes the established horror icons (Freddie Krueger, Michael Myers etc) look like kiddies playing in the sandpit. After this review, you've have confirmed that I'll have to go see the new one in the cinema. I just needed to know that it's better than the last one.
I dunno, man, the upside down hacksaw kill in the first one is crazier/torture-porny than anything in the second. And my favourite bit in both movies is when he's walking around with the person's face on in the first one - truly horrifying imagery perfectly captured.
@@interdimensionalsteve8172 I also think that the scene where he's walking around wearing the skin of a victim's face and upper body is awesome. Does it constitute torture porn? - it's totally subjective. What grosses me out is the extended scene in Terrifier 2 where Sienna's friend is brutalised in her bedroom, particularly the final scene where he's triumphantly showing off his handiwork whilst she's still alive. I watched it again last night and I haven't changed my mind. That being said, I'm going to see Terrifier 3 next Thursday 🥳
I’m pretty desensitized as well but SPOILER BELOW * * * When Cole gets his Knee/calf cut and he tries to run out of the shower stall and it just gives out under his weight I wince, I’ve seen it 3 times now and I winced every single time
Cutting the end scenes was awesome. It made those turns more shocking than any blood and gore would have. It was one of my favorite editing choices when I walked out of the theater 🤷
You're seriously a wonderful person. Thank you for helping those people. Love the video, review and your take on the film. Just damn... You're a good person. And I wanted to say that. Blessings. 🙏🏽
Interesting that the open questions in T2 were so frustrating to you because that wasn't my experience at all. I loved what I saw and found it intriguing. Like, wow, Sienna's dad hat some premonition or knowledge about Art and prepared her to fulfil her destiny to fight him, driven by some force of good opposing the force of evil that keeps resurrecting him? How cool is that? :D I mean, it's good versus evil, the rest is technicalities...
The fainting probably started with a panic attack. I've had them and it does feel like you could faint. Deep breathing helps, especially box breathing (in 4, hold 4, breathe out 4, wait 4, repeat)
Glad you enjoyed the film and great to see it getting such positive reviews! I'm in Ireland and no cinemas near me look to be showing it which is annoying...
I'm also in Ireland, I think it should start showing from the 11th , I've checked in the cinema in Tallaght and Naas(Odeon) and it will be showing in both.
Well, I can say that no one fainted or walked out of the theater were I went to see this yesterday, Emma. (Thank God those people are ok, too) This film is what I expected from Damien Leone, Art doing what Art does best. The film is very bloody and gore, with some nice creative kills. One thing I didn't like was an off-screen kill but, like you, I'm glad we some background regarding Art's origin and hopefully, we'll learn more about him and his connection to Sienna in the 4th film.
3 movies that instantly come to mind that i remember famously for having audience members leaving were saving private ryan, the passion of the christ and hostel.
I watched both Terrifier 1 and 2 at home with the color contrast to black and white 😂 Makes it much easier to watch through the gore. Keeps you from wincing or trying to look away 😬
Oh wow!! I am super jealous you got to see this!!! It's not released here in the UK until friday 11th October. Good on you Emma for looking after those poor queasy cinema-goers. 👍 Great review... I am super excited for T3!
I barely got through Terrifier 2 so I should probably sit this one out. I definitely don't want to be one of the people who faints. 😬 Good for you for helping the girl who did! I hope she's OK!
I think 2 and 3 are very similar in gore this one felt a little more extreme because there were so many different kills and it was more creative. She seems okay, i checked on her afterwards she was with two staff members and her friend
I can't wait to see this movie!!! I try to help if someone faints or gets hurt during a movie but your right sone people can't be bothered and i find it sad that people care about a movie more than helping someone. I'm glad borh people were ok thx for helping them. 💜

I already have my ticket booked for this Tuesday, and I'm treating myself to a drive-in session. I'm very much looking forward to it. Thank you for this review!
I do still miss the simplicity, charm & grit of Terrifier. That remains my favourite film in the franchise, but that said, this third installment far exceeds the second and manages to find a happy medium between both Terrifier 1 & 2 which is what I was hoping for. Loved it.
Wow from 15 years of going to see the movies including the goriest ones I've also never seen anyone throw up or faint. That's crazy that happened. Can't wait to see it
Terrifier 3 is brilliant! It totally ups the gore level ten times more than part 2, the opening, shower, and aunt scene (throwback to the main scene of the old 80s movie Epitaph) really are full on, and two people walked out after the opening scene in Melbourne stating it was disgusting so I completely believe every walk out, pass out, and vomit story. I loved it, and found it hilarious at points, but it is over the top gore, I have seen far more realistically violent and gory horrors. The story was a little better in part 2 I thought, but having said that, I still loved it and will definitely go to see it again.
I love the music and the footage of going. Please always do that bc even if I don't really want to watch the movie, I always enjoy seeing the journey there and what other people's roads and theaters and snacks look like. There was one video that had an incredible snack place that blew my mind. I'm like is this Vegas? And my mind was like don't be silly, it's BETTER hahahahaha
Obviously I'll be fine - but for non or lite horror fans, they missed a trick on Terrifier 3's marketing campaign to get a t-shirt to say "I survived the Terrifier 3 experience" lol :)
A thought occurred to me the other day about the inclusion of children in this film. As someone who lives in the U.S., I would bet that the people who have the biggest issue with that are the same people who have become desensitized to school shootings/mass shootings in the media. It would be interesting to know what sort of gun legislation might take place if people were forced to walk into a classroom after a school shooting. Also, I'm so glad you were there to assist those people in your theater! That had to be scary to see.
Glad you were there to help the fainters, that must have been scary for them and scary to witness! Glad they are ok! The run time on this had me on the fence but gotta confess... that gore score has me kind of excited to see this now!
There was indeed no plot and your fears were correct it went no where. What a disappointment. I actually went in expecting it to be bad and then the opening 20 minutes got me hyped up and upped my expectations and then the rest of the film was just what I had originally expected. Nothing is more disappointing than that.
A long time ago, I found your channel through relevant searching. Then it got turned under the algorithmic soil, and a random prompt brought it back up, and I remember how strangely endearing it is. You just seem SO DIFFERENT from a typical horror vixen, lol. It's really cool actually to be reminded how much this stuff, the comical and darker aesthetics and subject matter, bind us all as normies. Glad to see you still making content...We had a sort of famine in genre works, although with gems like Ari Aster's work, and it feels like it's Halloween again for real now. Cool, always cool.
Dude I literally just saw this tonight in Adelaide and came to check if you uploaded and ya just did! What an INSANE FUCKING MOVIE. I won't spoil anything for anyone ofc but oh my god. David Howard Thornton is on top of his fucken game rn
@@CapturedByKen it's kind of hard to say if it's objectively better but I definitely think that they are fully on top of their game with this one and it's probably my favourite one so far
@@rustyshackleford6035 for me this movie is like a marriage of all of the previous entry's, they somehow managed to take it back to the gritty and dirty roots of AHE/T1 while also pushing the slapstick/physical comedy aspect of art at the same time.
I can’t wait for Terrifier 3. Art has established himself as the modern horror icon. I met Damien Leone, Phil Falcone and Elliot Fulham this week in London. Great guys, who love what they do and who give the fans what they want.
what did you think of the holy catholic, good vs evil power fantasy imagery?? that's the most interesting part of both this film and part 2 to me, feels like damien leone has a crystal clear aesthetic vision. a lot of reviews seem to be skimming over that stuff though so I'm kind of worried he's backtracked and toned it down for 3 lmao.
9:35 freaked me out 🙃 Gosh, I hate the people who stand around like lemons when somebody needs help. In my entire life, I’ve been in several of the situations, some where I’m the one who needs help, and never, not once, has a bystander helped. Literally, even when I’m the injured party, I’m still the one who has to help myself whilst bystanders… just stand there. These bystanders aren’t even necessarily strangers, sometimes they are the friend or romantic partner of the person who needs help… but, just stand there. Or, on one occasion, woke me up to phone an ambulance instead of just phoning an ambulance themselves and then just stood there in a trance state whilst I actually did stuff to help. It’s incredibly frustrating. I don’t even feel like I help out of the goodness of my heart, but due to being the only functional person there in these situations. Like, I look around first and everyone else is in some sort of trance state 😵💫 Sure, that makes me good to have around in some sort of crisis situation, but why has there NEVER been anyone else equally good to have around in my whole life?? What is wrong with these people?! Better that too many people want to help than not enough 😒
I'm dying to see Terrifier 3 unfortunately all theaters around here closed down so will have to wait for it physical. Good review and cool video Emma!👉🏼🙂👈
I love your masks pieces that they gave you. I wish my theater gave fun stuff like that I would’ve loved to of had like kind of you know collectors piece.
I would love it if the Terrifier franchise features a different holiday in its sequels. It's a genius idea, Art the Clown killing the Easter bunny, a Leprechaun and Uncle Sam it could and would be ridiculously great.
The most fun I've had at the cinema in a while - the film balances gore, scares, funny moments and fantastic performances from everyone and Sienna Shaw is the new Final Girl - strong plot and some great world building mythology for Art and Victoria - with some seriously well staged over the top brutal kills and plenty of gore - roll on Terrifier 4! 10/10
Yes, I don't know how to feel about the movie. I was getting into it while I was watching. But afterwards I didn't feel I loved it. I was left with more questions and not much seemed answered from what was set up in part 2. But if you like gore and a good Holiday Horror I can see really liking this. It did seems things were left out. Also the ending seemed like it was the end of the 2nd of 3 Acts. Much appreciated of this review!
By now, we get that Damien Leone can do gore effects. Hopefully, he’s improved as an editor. Part 2 was okay, but good god, did that thing drag. Even the bedroom kill that everybody made such a big deal out of just kept going to a point I thought I was watching the makeup effects test reel. A big shock moment loses effectiveness when you’re checking your watch.
pleased to say i liked this movie a lot more than the second one, think the woman who plays sienna definitely has an acting future outside these movies she did really well in this one
Same score! For what sounds like the same reasons too. I dont think the fourth will be the last one. The lore seems way too expansive to be explained/wrapped up in one film
I'm happy to hear it's got better editing that the second one. Terrifier 2 felt like every scene drug on longer than it need to. I can't believe people actually fainted, I've never seen it happen in my life.
Crazy to think that a charming little indie horror film has gone on to spawn a franchise that has people literally fainting and vomiting in the theatres.
Saw it fri afternoon, a few walked out the first 10mins. Another person puked. I loved it. it was brutal. Yes if you are weak to horror. be aware. Damn glad you helped them.
With all I have heard about people leaving the theater after the opening scene and people puking/fainting, makes me want to watch this movie soooo bad.
I don't watch a lot of disturbing movies, but I did see The Cook the Thief His Wife and Her Lover in the theater way back when it first came out (yes I'm that old) and they all walked out at the infamous belly button scene. One person ran out sobbing. I'm still glad they cut away so you didn't have to watch it happen. The people who walked out, though, were spared more and worse. Lol.
I watched it at Monster Fest. No walkouts, plenty of laughter. There were quite a few walkouts from the mainstream audience. I'm quite desensitised to horror gore so I didn't feel any of it, but I am someone who needs to lie down for a blood test. The only movie I can recall making me feel queasy was Dagon when I was a child.
If the sequels continue being themed I’m waiting for Terrifier IN SPACE

@@eu_o_andy Sorry, but you are wrong. No horror monster has been this popular since Freddy Krueger, and when everything is said and done "Art The Clown" will sit on the throne as thee top guy.
@@eu_o_andy You "may not see it like" that, but DemiSupremi is correct about the definition of a cult classic, which does not fit this franchise. You disagreeing with it doesn't invalidate it.
Agreed we haven't had a horror icon since Ghostface, Art is the next to ascend, whether they like it or not.
"This film felt like it was split down the middle..." Best line of the review, and so true.
Oh dear ! Did not expect that. Sorry Emma - good you were there.
I usually complain about having to wait weeks (or months) to watch movies in the cinema in Spain. But Terrifier 3 being released literally on Halloween day is too funny so I don't mind 😂 and all of these reviews only make me more excited to watch it!
It rules. Very thankful for having an early screening but it was great.
@@shreknetit's literal garbage
Loved that you used ‘Danger Snow’ in this video.👌
I always thought that music was a perfect fit for the Terrifier movies.
I love the Terrifier series. I think Leone has unique ideas and terrific fx.
Most iconic horror character since Jason/Freddy/Pinhead - belongs on that pantheon.
i watched soft and quiet , loved it. thanks for the recommendation.
Soft and quiet is amazing!!! Very disturbing too!
This will be our first theater experience with Art together and I have to say, I cannot wait to eat popcorn with him and us cackle at all the gore and what looks to be a packed theater's reaction to it😂
Oh my goodness, that is horrible! So sorry for the woman who got hurt.
What a sitcom set up with your intro 😅
the tiktok was wild i was literally CLOWNING on people.... what ARE THE CHANCES! twice??!
@@spookyastronautsa finger on the monkey’s paw curled i fear
Shit take
I dunno, man, the upside down hacksaw kill in the first one is crazier/torture-porny than anything in the second. And my favourite bit in both movies is when he's walking around with the person's face on in the first one - truly horrifying imagery perfectly captured.
Damn that's a bit of a letdown if it's less crazy than the second
@@omegazx7236 I wouldn't be concerned about that as France has just banned it for it's graphic content. That's a rare thing in France.
I’m pretty desensitized as well but

When Cole gets his Knee/calf cut and he tries to run out of the shower stall and it just gives out under his weight I wince, I’ve seen it 3 times now and I winced every single time
Cutting the end scenes was awesome.
So jealous ! Very excited to see where the director takes this one.
Glad you enjoyed the film and great to see it getting such positive reviews!
I'm in Ireland and no cinemas near me look to be showing it which is annoying...
it comes out next week!
I'm also in Ireland, I think it should start showing from the 11th , I've checked in the cinema in Tallaght and Naas(Odeon) and it will be showing in both.
Omniplex and some of the Odeons are showing it from Friday as the previous comment said and Lighthouse in Dublin (best cinema in Ireland imo)
@@iain2080 my omniplex in Drogheda told me they wouldn't be showing it unless that changed
I don't think this is true. My local cinema in portlaoise is playing it
Shoutout to Popular!!! Mary Cherry is EVERYTHING!
YESSS!
I LOVE that you mentioned Popular! HUGE fan of that show!
IM SO GLAD YOU LIKE TERRIFIER AHHHH ILY 🎉❤
Ohhh the rumors are real????omg 🤡😂
Poor girl
Terrifier 3 will answer questions from 2, but then ask new questions
Oh wow!! I am super jealous you got to see this!!! It's not released here in the UK until friday 11th October. Good on you Emma for looking after those poor queasy cinema-goers. 👍 Great review... I am super excited for T3!
yes this was just an early one night screening!
Can't wait. I heard that the 4th will be the last, but will answer everything that we have been asking for.
awesome story and makes me even more excited to see it next week!
Why can't time go faster?😵
No fainting or puking in my theater that I'm aware of, but some guy yelled "OH GOD NO" when he realized what was in the aunt's Christmas present.
A justin long cameo would be cool to see
I barely got through Terrifier 2 so I should probably sit this one out.
@spookyastronauts That makes sense! My husband is going to see it, so I'm definitely looking forward to getting his thoughts. I'm glad she was OK!
OMG JOSH FORD IN A HORROR MOVIE!!! Emma you seriously made my night, Such an underrated gem of a show.
I'm going to see this at the local drive in tomorrow night with a friend. I was already excited. This review got me even more excited
I can't wait to see this movie!!! I try to help if someone faints or gets hurt during a movie but your right sone people can't be bothered and i find it sad that people care about a movie more than helping someone. I'm glad borh people were ok thx for helping them. 💜
yeah it was bizarre that people stay seated, ive seen people get more riled up over someone talking or on their phones
The best horror reviewer talking about my most anticipated horror movie of 2024 ❤️❤️❤️ I AM SO EXCITED! They didn’t start selling the tickets here in Canada yet and I’m getting worried, I need my ticket right NOW
I already have my ticket booked for this Tuesday, and I'm treating myself to a drive-in session. I'm very much looking forward to it. Thank you for this review!
Damien has seen your review of Terrifier 3. He talks about it in an interview with Notsam.
Can't wait to see it
Saw it Saturday night at my monsterfest and got a mask too! What a fantastic movie!
Not sure if you saw, but Damien shared your video on Twitter/X!
Better than the 2nd?
@@CapturedByKen it's kind of hard to say if it's objectively better but I definitely think that they are fully on top of their game with this one and it's probably my favourite one so far
Terrifier 2 is my favorite so far then All Hollows Eve and then 1st Terrifier film but this one might change my mind 🤔
@@rustyshackleford6035 for me this movie is like a marriage of all of the previous entry's, they somehow managed to take it back to the gritty and dirty roots of AHE/T1 while also pushing the slapstick/physical comedy aspect of art at the same time.
Did any scene top the bedroom scene? In terms of how brutally over the top it was?
I can’t wait for Terrifier 3. Art has established himself as the modern horror icon. I met Damien Leone, Phil Falcone and Elliot Fulham this week in London. Great guys, who love what they do and who give the fans what they want.
what did you think of the holy catholic, good vs evil power fantasy imagery?? that's the most interesting part of both this film and part 2 to me, feels like damien leone has a crystal clear aesthetic vision. a lot of reviews seem to be skimming over that stuff though so I'm kind of worried he's backtracked and toned it down for 3 lmao.
9:35 freaked me out 🙃
Gosh, I hate the people who stand around like lemons when somebody needs help.
Good review and cool video Emma!👉🏼🙂👈
i got so excited when i saw this pop up on your letterboxd lol
I love your masks pieces that they gave you. I wish my theater gave fun stuff like that I would’ve loved to of had like kind of you know collectors piece.
Big props for helping the people Emma and glad you enjoyed the film im so excited!
10/10
Just watched it and loved it! Everyone in my theatre was cheering with every kill
I saw it yesterday, what a fun time it was, and yes, the gore is a lot! Art the Clown is officially part of the Mount Rushmore of Horror characters.
These movies will never end if they make money. He's an independent film maker with an iconic franchise. its not ending if $$$ is to be made.
I’m SUPER STOKED TO SEE T3! 🤡🖤
Oh my gosh - I’m so excited !
pleased to say i liked this movie a lot more than the second one, think the woman who plays sienna definitely has an acting future outside these movies she did really well in this one
Same score! For what sounds like the same reasons too. I dont think the fourth will be the last one. The lore seems way too expansive to be explained/wrapped up in one film
theyve annouced it will be in some recent interviews, but i guess that could change.
Easily my most anticipated movie this year. I don't know what that says about me,other than my great taste in movies! 😁
Awesome Review !! This is by far the best review I've seen on UA-cam for this movie yet !
Fan theory: terrifier 4 will take place on the 4th of july. So then we could possibly see art do a firework kill :)
IDK is it solely an American thing? No one celebrates J4 outside of the US. Fans like Emma might not connect with it and could hurt box office.
When a new Terrifier movie releases, i seek out Spooky.
That was a screening for the history books. Certainly gave the film a weird vibe, but I do think this one works much better than the last.
agreed! it was so wild!
Lol.
You definitely need more views
Omg its refreshing to see a British person review
I watched it at Monster Fest. No walkouts, plenty of laughter. There were quite a few walkouts from the mainstream audience. I'm quite desensitised to horror gore so I didn't feel any of it, but I am someone who needs to lie down for a blood test. The only movie I can recall making me feel queasy was Dagon when I was a child.
