Hey friends, this video got limited/restricted by UA-cam, which kinda sucks after all the time I put into it. I didn't want to cut ANYTHING OUT because it would be silly to do a video about gore and body horror and not get into the details, so I've kept it as is. I really hope you enjoy it
I was sitting here thinking “man she is such a badass for working with that face allergy.” It took me half way through the video to catch on. Fantastic addition to this iceberg breakdown. 😂❤
The worsening rash is a fun ongoing bit ;P Great work, I'm sorry the youtube censors got you. It's a frustrating platform, so I extra appreciate your dedication!
@@spookyastronauts This may or may not be useful, but I've observed that another creator gets past the censors by shrinking and tilting the angle of the footage by about 30-45°. Her channel is Luxeria, in case a visual reference helps. She mainly covers older tv shows, though, so ymmv regarding films. Perhaps something to test out in the future. Good luck and either way I'll still enjoy watching :)
Same. I think Martyrs should be higher tbh. There’s so many scenes that are so hard to watch, should be at least above the human centipede. (Higher and above as lower in the iceberg btw)
You are SO badass/funny !!!!!! I LOVE when people just love horror with all their heart like you do, it makes your videos SO fun to watch especially for little Easter eggs that then become…in your face (haha). Thank you for all you do! For those who aren’t subscribed to your Patreon, this better have changed some minds!
I have a friend who hates body horror but loved Evil Dead and The Substance. Sometimes a film can grab ya and become an exception! Hope she enjoyed it!
So SEATED for this long form content, Emma. This video rocks. Thank you for the time invested in this. I’m really sorry demonetization hit you. Also, that rash isn’t looking too good…you might want to get it checked out before it’s too late 😜
SO looking forward to hearing your overall takes and what you felt was missing by the end of this project! I remember getting teary-eyed when Julia Decournau took the Palme d'Or at Cannes with Titane, a Female director winning with an undeniable body Horror...might be my most cherished historical moment in my lifetime thus far :') it's seriously part of my financial goals to be able to join as a patron soon & def getting your merch for xmas-- down with censorship! Thank you for posting in spite, this project is awesome, well worth, and we all love and support you!! 🤘👻
I'm a simple girl - I see spookyastronauts, I click immediately. I see spookyastronauts + body horror + 1 hour long video?!?! I click so fast I break my mouse 😍😂 Sending you so much love from the UK, adore you Emma, you are my UA-cam comfort safe space, and I thank you so much for that 💌
Love that you have Akira on here. I don't think most people think of that one because it isn't horror but it's some of the most messed up because of you can get so crazy in animation
Unfortunate that this video's been restricted, but I am super happy that it still showed up first in my recommendations! I love Hannah's channel, too. She's my personal hero for doing the Gauntlet Challenge and going through each video. I probably would chicken out and give up on that arm wrestling one🫡
I rarely like these iceberg videos, but I had to watch this one and I wasn't dissppointed! I've either watched or heard of all of these, but I'm very curious about the rest of the iceberg to see the rare, obscure stuff. That's often what entices me lol. I can't say where I fall on The Void cause I haven't seen it yet. Possession (1981) though is one of my favorite movies ever! The Brood is also fantastic! One of my Cronenberg faves too!
I actually can’t wait for your iceberg. I’ve seen a few disturbing movies but I have a morbid curiosity and prefer to listen to peoples reviews rather than watch for myself 😂
Love how much you matched with the vibes of the video 😏 Amazing job, I even added about 16 of these films to the watchlist (most from Daddy Cronenberg) and I'm quite thrilled to get to them. Thanks for loving so much your job, we truly appreciate all the effort!
Emma this list is incredible! Shout out to you for pulling through this long video with the discomfort of a skin/allergic reaction. I hope it wasn’t anything too bad. Bravo for this long video❤
I love that shirt and those face effects! And while I've seen the majority in this list, there's still a dozen or so in here I have yet to check out, so thank you for the recommendations. 😊
Im glad im off today thank you for this video 😊 so many movies I haven’t watched that I’m putting on my list Also I loved spring and was suprised to see it on this list it’s never mentioned
So many films I love on this list. I'm so happy you responded to Akira, that's a childhood favourite of mine and it's so wild with far-reaching influence. I've seen all of these except the Toxic Avenger series... I think I'm iffy on Troma at the best of times but I was planing on watching the original before the remake came out... Still don't know if the remake will come out... Looking forward to the lower levels!
My first reaction when I saw your face was " what happened to my poor spookyastronauts, burned/cut herself for the video ??!!" I m relieved you are fine. I used the term "my" because as I listen to you quite often there's a form of endearment.
Thank you so much, Emma for making this video because it really scratched that itch (no pun intended) for me. I love body horror movies. I've seen all those movies you covered.
I'm definitely going to be looking to buy that shirt. I love it! I'm confused at Hellraiser being on this list, but not Hellbound: Hellraiser II since it probably has even more body horror than the first film. Can't wait for part II of this.
Yes, it’s here! Ever since your announcement I’ve been patiently waiting for it, I think I’ll watch this one a few times just to get all the movies :) definitely adding a lot to my watch list. Am curious to hear your own takes and possibly what you deem to be missing. Thanks for the great content as always!
Wow I’ve never actually seen Possession, but the music video for Massive Attack’s “Voodoo in my Blood” was clearly VERY inspired by that subway tunnel scene!
I love seeing you shout out Hannah. You and her are the only youtubers I support on patreon- don't get me wrong, I'd love to support more, but for now, you two are it!
I absolutely love the void!! I've watched it twice and I think if they had a little more time and money it would be a 10/10, but it's still a 9/10 for me
The Void was probably the best film I saw last year. has that hellraiser vibe! looking forward to part 2 of this list. months ago I tried to find a copy of Septic Man. very curious to hear where you found it
I hope that “Audition” is among these horror gems. Cargo and Annihilation look really interesting. Thanks for the tips. Looks like you had a fast onset allergy attack. The irony of your Body Horror video: As that rash goes from a spot on your jaw to aaaargh! It grew fast! I do hope it heals up fast. I got worried for you towards the end…thought you might Cronen-morph. You got great material for a time lapse vid.
The 1982 the thing isnt the original. Whats interesting about that is I think its one of the few examples were the remake of a movie is the superior version.
OMG The Fly RUINED my childhood. I grew up watching Childs Play, NOES, Halloween, etc. at the age of 5 or 6 and had no problem sleeping at night, but The Fly truly traumatized me and I had the worst nightmares every!
Videodrome is like if Marshall McLuhan directed a body horror film. For me it's the purest distillation of classic Cronenberg horror where all the effects are explicitly metaphorical. Beyond the gore and general weirdness, I find it hard to understand how it found an audience (or how people interpreted it) in the 80s, it's so far ahead of its time conceptually it must've been borderline incomprehensible when it came out
i had to do a few double-takes, hearing The Fly II would "live in the 1896's shadow", making me think i missed the ORIGINAL original Fly... and, in Hellraiser, you mention "Frank and his lover, Lisa"... i mean, i know foreign films sometimes get difference versions, but as a horror aficionado/completist, it sparks the need to find altered gems lol ((not a criticism, as i know this video, as with equally bigger projects, deeper dives, is a LOT of work. mine is more a commentary on my own fixation))
I think you skipped out on a lot of the body horror of Annihilation - it's not just a bear mutated by the shimmer, it's Cass, who was fused with the bear that killed her. You see her skull has become part of the bears face, and the bears growls and roars contain the dying screams of Cass. That's what makes it body horror and what makes it so horrifying! Not to mention the corpse of the man who has started to fuse to the wall and bloom into mushrooms, or the cam footage of the mans innards moving like snakes.
I watched the The Thing at my girlfriend's house in '83 and then had to ride my bicycle home afterwards in the dark. I remember going as fast as I can, ignoring both stop signs and barking dogs.

So happy to be a Patreon and support your work at least that way! So much exclusive content as well.
Ahhh...that sucks!🤔
I will defiantly consider it.
Ugh UA-cam is the worst, this makes me so sad for horror content creators 😢
@@Wraiven22 yes its youtubes fault that creators break their monetization guidelines
I was sitting here thinking “man she is such a badass for working with that face allergy.” It took me half way through the video to catch on. Fantastic addition to this iceberg breakdown. 😂❤
Making a video about body horror while your face is melting down is an epic move. :)
The worsening rash is a fun ongoing bit ;P Great work, I'm sorry the youtube censors got you. It's a frustrating platform, so I extra appreciate your dedication!
i should have known, i really doubled down in this one haha. thanks for watching
@@spookyastronauts This may or may not be useful, but I've observed that another creator gets past the censors by shrinking and tilting the angle of the footage by about 30-45°. thanks! this one wasnt about the footage, its the actual content so me saying gore 300+ times haha
An hour long Emma video!? Oh hell yeah!❤
The entire sequence with the blinded woman in Martyrs is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to watch in a film.
yes i agree!
Same. I think Martyrs should be higher tbh. There’s so many scenes that are so hard to watch, should be at least above the human centipede. (Higher and above as lower in the iceberg btw)
Just came back to say really appreciate the effort you put into the bit. You played it off so effortlessly that it took me a while to catch on!
You are SO badass/funny !!!!!! Thank you for all you do! For those who aren’t subscribed to your Patreon, this better have changed some minds!
thank you this is so nice
An hour long video of Emma talking body horror while I decorate for Christmas?! 😘🤌🏻
hell yeah! ✨✨
My wife thinks I’m weird for loving Body Horror. So I took her to see The Substance. Demi Moore surely wouldn’t be in a movie my wife would hate?
Please answer your own question. You are the only one that knows. My ex girlfriend used to talk like you, she was very annoying
@ Thanks for your suggestion. Obvious Jokes aren’t for everyone, and this clearly upset you, so good luck with everything!
So did she like it? My husband likes horror but not quite as much as I do. We watched The Substance on Halloween night and both loved it.
@hatedfollower After a re read I can see the humour & the answer is ovbious. Text can be confusing sometimes. Thanks for the reply
I have a friend who hates body horror but loved Evil Dead and The Substance. Sometimes a film can grab ya and become an exception! Hope she enjoyed it!
An American Werewolf in London is one of my favorite horror movies. Body horror and all. EXCELLENT special effects.
Hour long videos are my favorite, thank you for all the hard work!!! 🥰
This was so interesting and entertaining! I cannot wait for the next part. This must have been so much work 🤯
i'm doing my final project on the art of body horror, so this actually gave me some ideas for films to pull from! great video, as always
So SEATED for this long form content, Emma. This video rocks. Thank you for the time invested in this. I’m really sorry demonetization hit you.

This video is amazing. Thanks for all the work you put into this. I love body horror and I have found some new things to put on my list to watch.

You are such a badass 💥👏🏻💪🏻!!! Keep up the good work
Unlike many YT creators, your content just gets better and better! This was amazing and so fun and satisfying. Loved the "skin condition" extra.
Love that you have Akira on here. I don't think most people think of that one because it isn't horror but it's some of the most messed up because of you can get so crazy in animation
thats the best thing about horror theres so many types of it! even if its just part of a film
Oh sweetie! I hope you got the allergic reaction under control!
Thanks for doing this video. I LOVE Tusk, and was happy to see it on the list!
We appreciate all of the work you put into these Emma! I can’t imagine how long these take!
Yesss body horror is one of my favourites right after psychological horror, freaks me tf out!! Excited 😁💖

I can't believe someone else is talking about The Skin I Live In! I've been telling my friends about this for years! Such a disturbing and fun movie.
That was a time when I enjoyed movies, I feel like life burnt me out. I have good memories of film but nothing can take me back
Love your longer videos! Would you be open to doing an eco horror suggestions video?
theres so much eco horror on this list! the next part has a lot!
Thank you for making so much effort to make such quality content for us to enjoy! ❤ x
This is so tremendous, and I'm beyond excited for future parts. Take care of that face now, girl, we're worried about you! :P
Wow, what a banger of a video! This must have taken forever, so impressed.
thank you so much you are too kind to me
Hey Emma love your channel! Thanks for the great videos.
Hannah The Horrible mentioned! Love both of your channels so much!
The part with the tortured woman in Martyrs is 1000% the most disturbing part. I can’t get the images of her going insane out of my head
Thanks so much for this post! Love your channel and horror
The Mr. Pibb rant during Slither is still one of the greatest scenes from any horror movie of all time.
This video was absolute perfection. You are so dedicated to your craft, Emma

I love that shirt and those face effects! And while I've seen the majority in this list, there's still a dozen or so in here I have yet to check out, so thank you for the recommendations. 😊
The camera footage in Annihilation creeps me out more than the bear honestly. Those squirmy guts and Kane’s reaction to them.
Im glad im off today thank you for this video 😊 so many movies I haven’t watched that I’m putting on my list

So proud of myself for figuring out the first time you we're "itchy" was totally for the video lol
Omg love that you and Hannah are friends! My two fav UA-camrs for sure.
Wow I’ve never actually seen Possession, but the music video for Massive Attack’s “Voodoo in my Blood” was clearly VERY inspired by that subway tunnel scene!
Thank you for your videos, Emma. You always inspire me to watch films I've never seen or heard of!
Fun stuff! I enjoy Hannah the Horrible as well. Though I'll probably never understand your Tusk-stanning, I respect your determination. 😁
Kudos for buying into the concept! I hope that "rash" doesn't get progressively worse in the next vid! 😅

I was just having a discussion with people about body horror, and realized I haven't seen a lot so this came at the perfect time! ✨
✨✨✨✨ in synch ✨✨✨
Thank you for all of the work you put into this, wow, a lot to watch
Tetsuo: The Iron Man is easily my favourite body horror. Incredible, mad, kinetic, inventive and mesmerising with an amazing soundtrack.
That "allergy" on your face gives this video a nice touch.😅 Great job, Emma! 👏
Good idea: Watching new Emma's videos.
Bad idea: Watch her new videos without reading the title and while having breakfast.
watch it with your ears.... bon appetite !
Just started watching this and I am soooooo excited!! Pumped is an understatement.
Gurl what did you do with that thumbnail I thought you were seriously ill 😂😭
You'll find out in the videoooo
Amazing video, can't wait for the rest of the series. Great work :)

I'm in awe of your work here!!

hearing you mention hannah was such a nice surprise!
damn, seen most from all but the last three tiers and the ones i havent seen are on my watchlist already :)
A whole hour? I’m in!
Omg I need the tshirtttttt!!! I call him Daddy Cronenberg too! ❤️ I will order on pay day!
so much fun, I can't wait for the 2nd part!
Can't wait for the next part to see Emma's final transformation

1 hour! we've been blessed
thank you for listening to me yap i appreciate it haha
❤ your videos emma i enjoy watching your videos on your channel im a horror fan myself i been watching your channel for years great work
I watched the The Thing at my girlfriend's house in '83 and then had to ride my bicycle home afterwards in the dark. I remember going as fast as I can, ignoring both stop signs and barking dogs.
