Made some today with the tons of tomatoes I had on hand. GREAT way to use them up and PERFECT recipe for brunch. Such a warm and cozy meal!! Love love love shakshuka!!
I'm new to your beautiful recipes....I'm Maltese living in Australia. I grew up watching my mother making this. We all love it. And I still make......so yummy . Thank you for your nice recipes....
Shakshuka: the perfect food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night snack, or any other time of day or night. I like to squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over my shakshuka just before serving, to give it a little extra zing. This recipe looks mouth-wateringly delicious!!
I made this and it was IN-CREDIBLE. My version was basically the same except I excluded the chili flakes and ground coriander, included a few slices of Serrano pepper for a touch of heat, and topped the dish with crumbled feta cheese and cilantro instead of mint and parsley. Gorgeous! Absolute success!
wow we also cook this recipe with some changes according to our circumstances. Its not popular throughout Kerala, its cochin's recipe. Happy to see the similarities in dishes. Food will tell history. thanks for sharing loved it, love everyone.
I just tried this recipe and it was mouth watering!! It was sooooo easy with simple ingredients. This was my first Mediterranean dish😀 I have ever made😊. Definitely making it again(:
What does "well seasoned" mean for cast iron? I've been cooking in cast iron for years so I'd think mine are well seasoned but because this is an acidic recipe and I haven't tried it yet, I'm not sure if I can do it in mine....
Hi! I'm using your recipe from time to time and I normally add some mozzarella or feta cheese on top. Best with parsley, onion & garlic from my own garden. Yummy! And I'm watching you from Russia, just so you know you have international subscribers :)
Hahaha, Tunisia and Morocco. is Algeria invisible on your map. Chekchouka is very popular in Algeria. it is one the most important dish especially in the th summer
Because it's making first by Jews north African and the only north African countries have Jews are Tunisia and morocco . Then she became famous in other countries like Malta Algeria Egypt ...
Jewry exclusively in Tunis and Morocco? Hahaha, 😅! I think you should research the origins of the name. Missy put everything is a Libyan word, and I'm sure this word doesn't exist in Tunisian the community.
My dear, am one of your subscribers and love your recipes. I was shocked today to hear that you are calling PALESTINE as Israel !!!! It is Palestine and was occupied.
I grew up eating shakshouka as my mom is from Tunisia! Love it! We use to eat it with a meat from Tunisia called "Merquez" which is a type of sausage.
Yum!!! :)

I grew up in Africa and we had this but didn't really have a name for it. Very common in my family to have it sweet

Are the yolks runny? My wife makes shakshuka. I prefer my eggs with a runny yolk and her shakshuka always comes out with firm yolks.
It is originally from Tunisia 🇹🇳🇹🇳
Algeria too

in turkey, we say "menemen" to this. we know "şakşuka" but complitily different story. google şakşuka and see it
It looks keto friendly too.

Looks great! one thought, though... maybe crack the eggs into a glass or bowl before adding them into the dish, if you happen to get a bad egg...
Great suggestion!
I love shakshuka. I make mine a little different then you. I use red peppers and throw in some jalapenos. But the rest is the same.
Does tomato sauce mean tomato ketchup right?
Can you use ketchup...
I would not recommend that.

That iron cast is crying
I would add some beans to the tomato mix and serve it over rice. You know how men are. 😄
Palestine
you meant Palestine !!
