Purification: Artanis Awakens Purifiers on Cybron (Starcraft 2 | Protoss)

- With the stasis shield deactivated on the surface of Endion, Hierarch Artanis and Fenix moved Daelaam forces to the orbiting Cybros. Their goal was to reactivate the ancient Purifiers still in stasis. However, Amon's zerg swiftly took positions on Cybros, and were now being reinforced by hybrid. The Daelaam took positions next to the purifier core powering Cybros, as the zerg and hybrid attempted to overrun them. Phase-smith Karax noted that the station was divided into quadrants, and destroying the null circuits on each would reactivate the Purifiers on each section. Along the way the encountered a rogue purifier warden that had activated on its own, but its AI had gone rampant.
Upon activating the first quadrant, a purifier modeled after Executor Clolarion addressed Artanis, who implored him to forgive the sins of the past and help him in the war against Amon. Clolarion was skeptical, but said he would discuss that after Cybros had been cleansed of the zerg. The three other quadrants were cleared, each section activating another wave of Purifiers that tore through the zerg hive clusters entrenched on Cybros. As the last of the Purifiers were activated, Karax was locked out of control of the core, and it powered up. Clolarion fired Cybros's purification beam on Endion, purging the surface of Amon's brood and all other life.
Artanis contacted the Purifiers through Fenix, who linked with Clolarion. He asked the Purifiers to join them once again in the war against Amon, to which Clolarion stated they were no better than the Conclave who tried to control them. Artanis insisted that they join as equals or else be annihilated, and Clolarion consoled with the other purifier personalities. They agreed to follow, as long as Fenix was allowed to speak for them and Artanis held to his word. The Purifiers were now one with the Daelaam.

CJake3 I believe there just normal Protoss that have feelings of there own
arent they the reincarnation of dead protoss warriors' minds into robots, instead of AI?
They are Fenix bros
Fenix: "Artanis, bro.....
We must save my Cy-bros"🤜🏼🤛🏼
Nioce
I can hear a inquisitor smashing the exterminatus button with his forehead
Ezequiel Morales not us we would never use A.I
ALRIGHT FIRE!!!!
IEHATTSD vibes
Purifiers did what some star wars fans wanted, they exterminated all the ewoks on the surface
from what i saw and the data-analysis i pulled up... it wiped the planet's atmosphere, not just villages... in other terms - the oxygen on the planet received a major "matchstick" :D i wanna see that happen IRL... :(
Nah, waterbears survive anyways.
@@bleflar9183 and some burried zergs will surive too if they can surive char they can survie the burining of the planet.
The forerunners are much better at cleansing then the protoss with those stupid op halos lol
22:37 Vorazun: I think we are all pleased by your success with the Purifiers, well except for the Preserver over there.
Vorazun roasting Rohana that made me laugh
To these guys, the death of a planet is a once-in-an-era event. An irrepeatable tragedy.
To the Imperium, its the default Plan C.
I would have called it Plan E.
Seeing the scale of both universes, I say it makes sense. But in Star Wars, having the same scale as the Imperium yet a death of a planet (Alderaan) is so tragic, that doesnt make sense.
@@theblueguy2311
Alderaan was a core world.
I think you guys didn't play sc1. Back in the Conclave day, they burned zerg infested planets like every day
The Protoss’ default stance to Zerg infestation was basically burn the planet immediately. This was one of the things that led to their conflicts with Terrans.
Exterminatus Protoss style
I think that Warden wasn't busted. Purifiers are essentially Protoss with a different coat of paint. I think he was just one of the purifiers who didn't want to forgive, he just wanted revenge.
No, the conclave build cybros as a jail for the purifiers after they rebelled the first time. The warden was a warden meant to keep them locked up. Even locking them in stasis.
"protoss with a different coat of paint"
Fucking gold mate
@@krono-wr7no He speak the truth.

If there was a race that might be able to toe-to-toe the imperium, it might be the Protoss. For a while at least. You can't hold off the space marines forever.
Well, Starcraft did start as a 40k title so
A Zealot would definitely stand a chance against a Space Marine, who would only have range on their side. The minute a Zealot gets in melee range, even a power sword wouldn’t save them.
@@nevermore7285 erm no a space marine could be able to take on a Zealot. Despite how huge and bulky they look they are rather agile and skilled in meelee
@@nevermore7285 a power sword could do it. And Astartes are much faster then you'd think.
@@WintersFinalstand Yeah but the Zealot’s move like Eldar practically (in universe. The zealots are way weaker in the game for gameplay reasons) So while a power sword could probably block their blades, it would be interesting to see if they could.
"But I so enjoy our exchanges!"
I mean Alarak talks as if the death fleet has anything matching cybron's raw firepower.
General and typical hubris from a person with his character traits.
Terrazine is a helluva drug.
If you look at the Tal'darim troops, it would make sense why they look down on the purifiers.
I don't think the developers judged accurately the power that they gave the protoss with the purifiers as their aid. They gave them a weapon that could wipe out life on a planetary scale. Effectively, protoss had no need to even get of their precious ship for warfare.
Lore wise, it's actually long been a thing that Protoss have the firepower to wipe out entire planets. It's stated in the original game that they destroyed life on the world you started on the Terran campaign after the Zerg overran it. It's just that using such weapons in atmosphere is too dangerous.
Exactly why they couldn't torch Char is anyone's guess. If they could get troops to the surface I don't why Tassadar couldn't wipe out must of the Zerg from orbit and then send the Dark Templar to pick off the Overmind and the Cerebrates.
@@dragonstormx Tassadar only had the Gantrithor at Char, as the Conclave had recalled his fleet. The Gantrithor couldn't destroy the entire surface of Char by itself quickly enough.
Before that they destroyed Chau Sara, Mar Sara and Antiga Prime, always when the Zerg were overwhelmingly in control of the planet.
It only destroyed life on the surface. Char has tunnel networks all over the planet and deep in the crust. So Protoss planet killers would only be a temporary solution
The Protoss have plenty of weapons like that, though none quite as instant, but the problem is the Zerg can bury themselves deep and that their are some worlds that have other inhabitants. Part of the civil conflicts in the first Starcraft was because Tassadar wanted to work with the Terrans and not burn their infected worlds immediately.
18:25 "Purify them from orbit. It is the only way to be sure!"
Forest moon + gas giant+ battle station with capability to destroy planer + impenetrable shield that must be disable on the ground. Star war 6 flag back, at least it's not a trap.
Do protoss communicate with each other telepathically? Is that why their voices have a echo-ey quality?
Exactly. Hummies still talk though, even though they technically don't have to when communicating with protoss.
Dragoons and Colossi make sense, but Stalkers? Shouldn't those be anachronistic to Early Protoss?
It could be a very early walker model before the Dragoons were developed.
And they could be the first Prototype for the first stalker
They are Stalkers who can teleport three times before having to recharge.
How many times must you use the same calldown in the same spot before you think...
_Maybe i should warp in some photon cannons_
Why waste the resources?
@@ericstaples7220 you gonna need to fortify the ever living shit out of it on brutal
Still wish they'd gone with full pre-rendered cutscene for this one.
dont you mean a full cinematic one?
Isaac Clarke bullshit blizzard has all the money they are just lazy
Artanis vs Zeratul. Zeratul dying km that scene deserves a full cinematic. How much I miss him.
Ahhh StarCraft.
Even more mind challenging than Warcraft 3.
Undeniably.
*conclave flashbacks intensify*
Highlord Alarak is too savage!
It's what you get when De Lancie is at the helm.
19:44 Death Star single-reactor ignition fire.
18:39 most badass line

Why are there Purifier Stalkers?
Varlons in Babylon 5 had the same thing flying around eradicating all life that communicated with Shadows.
In Stellaris when using a colossus (neutron sweep)
totally thought the title spelled cybertron for a second
The purify is the same one that was on the intro on starcraft1?
what intro?
@@andrefilipe9042Search it
@@scp-scp--ev8eh That's the thing I don't know what he was referring exactly. The term purity doesn't give any results.
@@andrefilipe9042 Seach "Starcraft Intro" and in the end you will see a mothership.
@@scp-scp--ev8eh Thanks you peanut anomaly.
So, Purifiers were technically Series-9 robots. I like that.
i dont really play starcraft but when someone said "As the shadow wills" i.definitely knew it was from warcraft 3 when these acolytes turn into ghosts they say that....
uhhh no... That's not what they say. That's a affirmative response the NECROMANCER says when you move/move attack command him without giving him a target attack command.
The Acolytes say "The damned stand ready" when they spawn and say "The damned return" when they finish becoming shades.
man they made that scene so sad
Nothin' better than a good awakening with a good ol' exterminatus
I love this game so much.
I misread the title as Cybertron. I thought there was a whole ass Collab or smth
What are all these 40k fans doing here?
22:26 alarak being awesome. Haha
10:10 Firstborn...I remember...betrayal...death. Unacceptable.
fenix voice change right
The conclave. I haven't heard that in a damn long time
did they exterminatus the planet?
Sooo....how do Protoss eat without a mouth?
They are similar to plants, getting energy from sunlight, and nutrients from water that dissolved into their skin.
So many Cy-bros
come on purifiers the warhammer has been doing that before it became cool
19:33 It's EVE Amar Titan! :)
damn i loved those multitarget voids... they felt super useless but i still built them because they lookcool af
Use the purifier sentries to cast bloodlust on them and they become instantly max charged, while targeting multiple units.
Death Star
I think they took inspiration from Bahamut Zero's attack.
Why did I read this as Cybertron
Karak is burning....
they did not just leanse cybros of the zerg... They cleansed cybros of what made them slaves of the protoss. Clolarion was an executor.
Why didn't they use this weapon more in the End War?
Their plan was to reclaim Aiur, not nuke it
@@thecommentguy9380 Fair enough.

Amber Fox He makes those videos for story. No point of playing brutual for that.
true
It is on normal it says so in title or desc.
Artanis is such a soy protoss. Even robotic guys have more resolve than him. It is disgusting how blizz decided to make him, not Zeratul or even Alarak as the main character.
The purifier warden sounds like glados
