@@tlc0963 idk what you’re talking about. My posts are & have been respectful & concerned. David is a good human, i agree with Sarah that he’s been taken. He’d not voluntarily leave his family. Lastly, my fb profile picture is of me, not this sunset pic.
I live in Atwater California my grandson wants to drive truck here in California but he said he would take his pit bull dog with him he only drives the manuel
Field drive is just an entrance to a field for tractors. No flairs or Triangle. The truck was not broken down. It was a cold start I am told but it was cold and had been sitting for 13 hours. He would NEVER have left his truck like that. He is one of the best livestock haulers in the state! He did not leave on purpose!!! I totally agree with all you say. Thank you for your expert opinion and sharing my husbands story. I pray this never happens to anybody. It's a nightmare situation for our family and friends. Statistics on human trafficking makes me physically ill. Truck is a 99. There were skid marks at the exit off of hwy 20. Now way would he have left it in the travel lane. "Finger prints work well in the movies"...yea they work well when you dont contaminate the crime scene too! You are absolutely right!! Makes me so angry! It's my husband, not a missing pet!! Use your "pushers"!
I'm sorry for what you are going through. I imagine you gave police consent to search David's rig before your mechanic moved it and why you were shocked they never contacted you before they took it from his lot, right? Did police ever produce a search warrant for the truck to you? You should receive any details when the warrant is returned. I only recall you received the keys inside an 'evidence bag.' Keep the faith. #IowaStrong
I had not heard of the skid marks at the intersection, but those tell another part of the story. Just a guess, but I would say another car pulled out from 71 just as David was nearing his turn. That would have forced him to brake hard and make the right turn (north) instead of left to go south. Complete set-up.
David stopped at Marker 126 truck stop and was using his phone. Had the cops check to see if he was communicating with anyone? God bless you and your family Sarah.
I’m from Philadelphia PA so I know nothing about trucking or Iowa. But I’m sure he would never leave the pigs sitting there. . Idon’t believe for a moment he “walked away.” Such bs. So sorry you are going through this nightmare. Prayers for a good outcome for your family. 🙏🏻💔🙏🏻
Thank you so much for helping to find our brother. I just read a comment from David's wife. I'm completely crushed. Sitting at an Oregon scale right now, and crying for her & those boys. Just broken.
I set up a gofundme to help me get a new drone with thermal imaging on it. To help me with future search and rescues. My current one works great for day operations. But i want one for night operations. Every second counts. Keep up the good work.
Im not begging anyone to donate i dont care if they do or dont. I have been saving for the drone and will keep saving for it. Plus if they had a drone. Then why was i out with mine. Have a good day
I grew up with David. We were neighbors. I think he was forced to stop and forced out of the truck maybe at gun point. He tried to get away and they grabbed his jacket. He was able to get out of the jacket and that’s why it was found outside in the ditch farther down the road. They forced him into a vehicle. They tried to move the truck to hide it or steal it but didn’t know how to drive it. I have no proof but I’m sure this is a human trafficking/cartel situation. I’ve lived in Arizona for almost 30 years but people back in Iowa have been kind of sheltered by the cartel/open boarder stuff but it’s finally creeping its way in. Law enforcement hasn’t dealt with it much if it all but instead of being honest about that they do nothing. I grew up with the sheriff too. I doubt he’s changed much so he’s never going to admit he’s wrong or needs help. I am hoping that his parents, brother, sister, wife and kids get some answers soon. It’s the not knowing that has to be the worst.
I agree with your theory completely. David is quick for 53 and can still run fast so think he maneuvered his way out of his jacket and then got overpowered because it was probabky 2 against 1.
I feel like it was an attempted theft of the truck, trailer and pigs. There is a meat theft ring out there that hasn't been caught yet, but they are moving on to live--livestock perhaps. David may have done everything to protect his truck and load that he could, and he saw their faces.
Most likely he had a stroke. Some strokes cause amnesia. At that point, he would have wandered off in a state of confusion which would explain why he was pointed in the wrong direction, the jacket being found and the truck abandoned. His wallet was found on the dashboard. That doesn't sound like an attempted hijacking. It's possible that he walked for 10 miles and may be lying dead in a remote area which is why he hasn't been found yet or he may be living homeless in some town. I read about a guy in Maine that happened to. Truck drivers are prone to strokes due to poor dietary habits such as living on diners, restaurants, fast food, truckstop fare, seed oils, ultra processed chemical laden factory foods. I knew people at his age that had strokes. It's not uncommon.
I don’t know Dave, but I do work for Peterbilt, and always follow stories in the trucking industry. Stories like this break my heart. I know ALOT of hard working truckers, they’re good people. Prayers for his children and wife. ❤
I have been following this case from day one as this is close to me. I have spoken with Sarah through messages and am just so up in arms about all this. Speaking with her confirmed everything I had been thinking. He was a loyal, hardworking father and husband. He didn't withdrawal money from their accounts, he didn't pack a bag, he left everything he had behind! Someone who was walking away from their life would need something, some money... anything! Who leaves their life wearing hog crap covered coveralls and boots?
Sarah has had people judge her for the gofundme and the Venmo. Do people realize the payment on his truck is like $2000? I mean does she give up and let the bank tke his truck or keep it in case? This family needs help! David was the breadwinner of this family. I will defend this lady with all I have .
@@Mari-kj9rtwhy in the hell would they say anything? It’s wrong and people need to realize David was the bread winner. I contributed and I will again. Why haven’t the sheriff called FBI
Cops and authorities should be held accountable for not doing everything they can do to find that man, dad, husband, person! Why are they turning a blind eye? 😡🤬
Thank you for bringing awareness to missing truck drivers. It makes me so sad that truck drivers, in general, do not get the acknowledgement and respect they deserve. Support from South Africa 🇿🇦 #MissingTruckers #MissingTruckDrivers #TruckDrivers #JusticeforTruckDrivers
1000 % Agree with you . I believe he was forced over by road rage, brake checking or by other nefarious means. Jacket off in ditch tells me there was a fight , took off before or pulled off . The field was Most likely a corn or bean field drive for farm tractors to gain access to the field for planting or harvesting . I'm praying he is found. 🙏
I pray they can still find him safe, but like many say it’s strange WHY didn’t the sheriffs department do more. What about the FBI. If it was a female trucker would it make a difference? There’s too many unknowns about this case. Someone tell Sarah & her boys she’s in my prayers. I’m praying for her husband. God Bless all Truckers, thank you toxic (don’t know your name)
I just listened to another UA-cam channel that was talking about another missing trucker that they ended up finding dead not too far away from where they found his truck. And you're right the times we're living in or getting more dangerous every day. I wouldn't drive anywhere without being armed.
Today I was delivering an aluminum load from Monessen,PA to Yankton,SD.Google maps shortened the distance by taking US 20 through Iowa, yet I took that route before and a gut feeling told me to avoid it today so I took I 80 and up I 29 through Sioux City even though it was longer.I pray that David would be found soon.
Trust your gut thank you for the work you do. These days lot lizards come in all kinds of shapes and sizes if you are able get a co driver or rider watch out for people who show up at fueling or food stops more than once on the same route take a different route from time to time . Be safe be praying for you and all the hands out there working the highways
Thank you for doing this story. Truckers daughter here. Always used to worry for my Dad. His wife & kids are probably a wreck. I will keep the story alive on TT as well!!
i had no idea they put automatic transmission in big rigs, i taught all my children and now grands to drive a standard shift by hearing and feeling. we bounce around the hay fields in a 1990 farm truck til they are 12, then they must master shifting in all situations before they are allowed to drive the new cars. once you can drive a stick, you can drive anything with an engine. its a life skill. your thoughts on David make perfect sense.
You hit on a lot of strong valid points, it’s just sad that the local department basically wants to sweep this under the rug, a driver that delivers goods, your food, your supplies and yet they done have enough respect to do more to find out the truth as to what happened to me seems very odd, however your comment about Mayberry and Barney Fife was nothing but the truth, perhaps they have don’t have the knowledge in situations like this but that should be when they bring in the FBI like Sarah wants them to. As a trucking family that haul livestock this is my biggest fear when my husband is on the road. I just pray that the family is able to get some sort of closures and answers soon. Prayers for the Schultz Family ❤️
As a woman who has had trucks drivers in my family and several friends who drive, this case breaks my heart. I don't understand why the trucking companies don't automatically equip all drivers with some form of tracker or at least a mandatory phone that stays in the trucks at all times. Or even put the CB's back in the trucks. All you drivers out there listen to what this man is saying. DO NOT stop your truck for anything and if something doesn't feel right bite the bullet and call 911. People are told that they can continue to drive to a well lit and public locatio if someone, including "Law Enforcement " is trying to get them to pull over for safety reasons. Everyone needs to be aware of this and remember to stay safe.
The guy you were talking about is on canam missing project. David paulides made a video about David. He’s made 14 episodes of missing truck drivers. All episodes are recently made go check them out.
I believe the law enforcement is purposely ignoring the kidnapping theory because kidnappings are nearly impossible to solve after the first couple of days. Sheriffs & District Attorneys must convince voters to reelect them, & having unsolved crimes on their records is bad for business. This case has really rubbed me wrong for a lot of reasons. Unfortunately, my channel, my voice, is far too small to have any affect. I worry for the family. 😢
@Toxictrucker, but you actually just gained a lot of views as the wife shared it! That's how things happen - have to keep on truckin', right? Thank you trying on behalf of all Iowans. I think they should at least TRY to get prints, DNA, anything! I do not have an answer or even a thought on why they wouldn't but wish they would tell us at least (besides the whole this is real life not tv remark). Again, thank you for at least speaking on this and hope you continue!
@@cirn1492 If I knew anything to do, my friend, you could bet your life that I would try. I don't know how to do tech stuff & organize things like that. I have thought about a support fund for the family, but where to start? The thought of those 2 boys has me totally crushed. I thought I was tougher than this, but you ought to see my wet face right now. No sleep tonight.
@@ToxicTrucker I am wondering if it's possible to FOIA state - highway 20 camera footage of his truck traveling to the drop off. And then someone could check for suspicious vehicles within the timeframes given and possibly do license plate checks of any vehicles traveling thru the area. Maybe find someone with a criminal background or just to be able to spot something out of the ordinary.
I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss! This is a terrible situation that nobody should have to go through ever. On the facts given about all of this. I’m not a trucker but I have truckers in my close group of friends. His truck was found on a Hwy leading north away from his destination. From what I can gather this man was a dedicated and well experienced driver and his truck being found where it was is completely out of order. The only way his truck could have gotten to that location is if he was driving it at gun point. No trucker I know would ever drive past his destination like that and be driving away from it unless he was under some sort of duress… At some point along the route a second person somehow got into that cab with him. Be it a hitch hiker or somebody possibly sneaking into his rig at a rest stop or gas station while he was out of the cab. This at some point turned into him having a gun pulled on him, almost certainly while the vehicle was in motion as this would give the smallest opportunity for him to react in a way that would work against the person with the gun. He would have been told to turn north on the hwy his truck was ultimately found on and as I said the only way that would ever happen so close to his destination is I if he was doing so against his will. I think they drove north and came up on a vehicle sitting parked in one of these side drives into a field, sitting parked with lights off and just before or right as they were passing, the person with the gun screamed at him to stop right now. The truck would have made some tracks as it stopped abruptly and I think right at that point at least a couple and likely more guys rushed to the drivers side of the vehicle opened the door and grabbed the driver by his jacket and pulled him out of the truck. The person with the gun may have unlocked the doors right as they were stopping if they were locked and the driver was hauled out of the cab of the truck. likely struggled to get away and stride to slip backwards out of his jacket in his attempt to get free of his attackers. The individual with the gun would have likely turned the lights and engine off very quickly so as to not be drawing unwanted attention to the truck as this all went down or he made the driver do so right as the truck stopped and likely exited through that drivers door in an attempt to assist with getting him under control , with his gun at this point being rendered useless in this moment because of the proximity of his partners in this attack. Nothing was taken and this man disappeared without a trace of a struggle other than his jacket being found in the ditch. I call this an attack because I think this entire event was specifically aimed at this driver. There is no indication whatsoever that this was an intended property type crime being attempted. An attack could be motivated for any number of reasons, be it an outstanding debt, some sort of problem with a work mate getting fired and him being perceived as the cause, some sort of intimate affair by someone and the complications that could have or could indeed be a random event linked to a plot involving human trafficking. I cannot say as there is no information given that could point to any of those. What I do think though is at some point along his original route somebody got in his cab and he was forced under threat of a gun to drive off his route. This second individual with the gun could have entered the cab of the truck anywhere from his pickup point right up to the point of his drop off, either with or without the knowledge of the driver. That’s what the available facts add up to for me as the most likely series of events up until he disappeared, likely in a vehicle exactly as Toxic Trucker has said in his thoughtful analysis. Sadly I think the police that were involved with this case will never move it forward. If there have indeed been a number of truckers going missing maybe another level of police like say the FBI could be involved if there is an indication that somehow all or many of these cases are related. I hope you get closure on this somehow. I’ll be following this with interest hoping for a good resolution.
❤ THANK YOU TOXIC TRUCKER...SO GLAD YOU ARE HELPING IN THIS INVESTIGATION. YOU JUST MADE A LOT OF SENSE. NO REASON FOR DAVE TO LEAVE IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD & TURNED OFF. I USED TO DO MARKETING ALL OVER MY STATE. ONE TIME COMING HOME 🏡 THROUGH A 4 LANE HIGHWAY. SOME CRAZY GUY WAS TRYING TO STOP ME. I HAD TO PRAY HARD AND DRIVE FAST IN MY COUGAR. I HAD A 5.O . I WAS LUCKY TO OUT RUN THAT CRAZY GUY. GOD BLESS YOU & I'M PRAYING FOR THE TRUCKERS. * AND BY SOME MIRACLE I PRAY HE IS STILL ALIVE & CAN GET HELP. I WOULD THINK HE WOULD OF HAD A GUN ON HIM DRIVING ALONE.? ANYWAY...SO GLAD HE HAD A MANUAL ENGINE, . SO GLAD THEY COULDN'T STEAL HIS TRUCK. GOD BLESS YOU ALL...IN CHRIST JESUS HOLY NAME AMEN.
There is no way an experienced driver would turn off their truck and lights in the travel lane. Ever!!! I agree with you 100%. You have the gross law of tonnage, use it to your best advantage. God Bless our truckers.
I think you have some very good analysis here.....BUT where the truck was found was NOT on his route of travel. He should been going south and his truck was going North. Why would he have ever turned the opposite direction of his drop site?? Also, his coveralls and rubbers have NOT been located. I personally think he got to the drop site, grabbed his gear to unload the piglets and then was approached. Knapper moved the truck to a road very rural so that the employees wouldn't find it at 4am or so, when they arrived to work 🤷♀️ just my thoughts .....
I read that one gentleman believes that a man OTHER THAN David was driving the truck out of the loading location. Pieces are coming together, but the police aren't interested.
Your correct sherriff McClure has no interest. But the DCI I also involved .... I didn't think they would cover evidence the way the sheriff dept has - but it's a shady world we live in these days 😢
Sounds like they suspect some cartel involvement of which this admin will bring all agency power to cover up andcwe will never know until the bodies stack up so high everyone notices.
Agree about somethings seem to point back to pig barns. Or Something happening at 2nd truck stop, or intersection of 20 and 71. I dont think David made it to where truck was found. I think just his jacket did. I don't think it was a kidnapping, many reasons. But I do think foul play. Clues of the facts not guesses. Why waste 16 mins at 1st closed truck stop. Why are 2nd truck stop [ highways 4 and 20] Both dot cam and stations video blurry or non functional? Why 22 mins to drive 5 miles from highway 20 and 71 intersection to location truck was found. Many questions need to be answered to follow path to truths
Wow I don't travel anywhere alone anymore. I learned how to drive on a manual, twice my neighbors have had their cars stolen, but mine/manual hasn't moved. What a sad situation this country is in. I made a trip from eastern Oregon to Oregon coast about a year ago, I'll never do it again. An older semi with a blue cab followed me in the fast lane for miles, as i got closer to Portland I out ran him because of the hills. You got my sub with Barney Fiffe.
I’m agreeing with you on finger printing the truck. I hope he wasn’t kidnapped. No I pray he wasn’t. At first when I heard this story I thought that, they took him for his load. But when I heard the truck was left like that I knew something else was wrong. I know truckers they take pride in their trucks. Would never just leave. God Bless you & all truckers out there. Stay safe.
This hits close to home as drive out of Des Moines. You don't think it's your problem until it is. 1. Have a dashcam that streams and saves video to a cloud. Make sure someone besides you knows how to access it. 2. The instant you think someone is trying something like this, call 911. 3. Don't stop. 4. If you do stop, have a weapon (lethal, non lethal, anything to fight with is better than nothing). I hope he is found soon and found safe.
✨Ryan winter, I am a female . I drove a truck and I kept my tire iron right beside my seat in Canada . We don’t carry guns , 💪 but we sure know how to dance and swing a iron ! ThankYou for your comment . ✨🌲🦶🏿🌳🧚♀️🌲🐕🦺☺️🕊️✨
Wow this guy knows what he’s talking about! I agree about the finger prints but a little late now after everybody has been in and out of it. And where are his load clothes? Have they ever been found?
I believe everything you’re saying my stepmom drove an 18 wheeler for 40 years and I learned a lot about her and a lot about truck drivers. I have mad respect for people who drive 18 wheelers especially the manuals. I don’t even know how many of them are left anymore that aren’t automatic.
Have they tried to do a cell tower dump from that area. There can't be too many cells in the area at that time of night that are not people who live nearby?
I get what you are saying. All numbers that pinged off the near by cell tower. No, there can't be that many. Can it be done? If so please call someone about it.
I definitely dont think he up and walked away. Alot of the owner operators i know would die with their peter. He shows alot of goals and didnt seem to be planning to leave. He left all his belongings and money behind. I think he saw something at a truck stop and was followed. If he was being followed maybe thats why he went off his route. To lose those people following him. I could see them passing his semi then slowing down in front of him. Trying to get him to stop. He stops and assumes somethings wrong. I could see him stepping out/ being lured out without his belongings and to maybe sure everything was alright. Then they could of wacked him or some sort of altercations to grab him. Human trafficking is a profitable business and the traffickers will protect said business. The police dropped the ball within the first 24 hours. I really hope we find answers but it may be a long time. I feel like maybe a year. I hope for sarahs sake she sees him walk in their door tonight. Bring david home.
GOD BLESS YOU! I have a trucker friend who has been missing for a few years now. Something weird is going on because he always calls me at least three to four times a year and will usually pop up at least once a year to see me but I haven’t seen nor heard from him since his last phone call. In this call, he was asking me if I could go to Florida and stay in his house because he was being sent to Canada. The strange thing about it is he told me years ago that he had to turn down a job going to Canada because of some legality. I am very concerned.
First time watching your video. Thank you for sharing. This is sad and scary. I remember hear this story. So glad your video makes sense. My little brother drives everywhere and picks up, drops off. I worry for him. RIP David., you will be vindcated. God bless and protect our truck drivers! 🇺🇸
dave paulidis did a piece on dave schultz. and some other missing people including truckers. some people vanish from national forests. channel name is canam missing. there are a few cases where a person goes missing just like this, and turns up months and miles away w amnesia.. no idea what happened. quite a few of those.
This is very frustrating. This was never treated as a crime scene. From the beginning he was probably abducted. Truck moved by inexperienced driver ...As i told the police department...Pointed in the direction that the assailants forced this man into a car.
Would it be possible that Mr. Shults shut-off his truck as a warning indicting to others that he had experienced a major problem involving bad charcters trying to steal his truck; the load he was carrying; or people harming someone else? I’m not a truck driver, so I’m wondering what signs a truck driver would leave for others to indicate distress.
For David to have been pushed to go north 71. He had almost 5 miles before stopping semi-tractor-trailer & parked on the traveled portion of the road at the intersection of D-15 (190th Street) and N-14 (Union Ave.). Time enough to call for help. If police had pulled him over while west bound. > Leaving highway 20 on a right turn 71. he would not have drove north 5 more miles before stopping in cornfields zone. His correct next road is south 71 is a left turn. He would not have made that mistake. He knows the area blindfolded it's his local home area. Main used east/west highway. Whomever drove/parked that truck, it wasn't a normal reg truck driver. Whomever tossed the orange jacket didn't need it anymore. Whomever then walked to field entrance [ dog lost scent]. Carried scent from jacket. Or hat was still being worn. I have a few questions I want to ask his wife. Don't want to put here not yet.
Great point about the fingerprints! What possible reason could there be for not taking any? I watch another guy on here..David Paulides..Canammissing 411...he recently has done a whole series of videos on Missing Truckers. He has another perspective on this case it is very interesting too. I just hope they find David Schultz and he is ok. A lot of these missing truckers that are found alive have amnesia..I hope that is what happened to David and he is alive....thanks for your video...very interesting indeed!
Wow! I been reading about this incident but didn't know about the MANUAL Transmission, that makes perfect sense. They wanted the Truck but then couldn't drive it ! and probably so frustrated that they didn't notice his wallet or wouldn't think it had Cash in it
Great thoughts. Here are only my thoughts on this. I agree, David is an experienced driver and easily could have thwarted attempts to run him off road. However, I shared with Sarah Bogue Schultz that I believe David would have used his cell phone to call 911 if this was happening as he would have had over 4 miles from Hwy 20 & 71 onto the blacktop going North where his truck was found to do this. He was only 2 miles from his drop off point to the South when he turned North on blacktop from Hwy 20 & 71 intersection. This is too much of a coincidence. There were initial discussions of drugs in the Eagle Grove pick up area. Unless possibly drugs were stashed on his truck somewhere then someone hid in his truck while he loaded hogs in Eagle Grove or someone he knew contacted him to pick them up at that field entrance under the guise of them being broken down and needed a ride back to town before David unloaded. Thus truck was in the road as he thought they would just hop in with him. Would be interesting to see what DCI found on his phone that they still have for analysis. This means they would have known his route and chose that spot so the pigs would quickly be found. This would not have concerned a human trafficker kidnapper. You read between the lines here. The acosters turned off truck and lights as not to attract attention too quickly before they fled. David appears to attempt to flea after realizing what was going on, sqirms out of his coat and was quickly caught and taken to keep him quiet. Again, just my thoughts. And yes, police 101, don't taint the scene by using the victims phone, not seizing truck as evidence until 3 or so days later.
I don't put much stock in the fact that David did not call 911. If someone cuts you off at a crossroad, then drives very aggressively... like they're angry because you almost hit them, or something, your mind is likely focused on not getting into an accident...controlling that truck & wagon, instead of grabbing the phone. You might simply allow them to pass and go on their way, no harm, no foul. But if they then stop in front of you to carry out another plan, it may too late to call by the time you realize that the near-miss was no accident. Consider what David might have been thinking while another driver is acting crazy right after what SEEMED to be a near-miss accident.
@@ToxicTruckerThat very well could be and I appreciate your response. I just find it very suspucious that the turn location was at the very corner he would have had to just turn and go 2 miles South to the drop off site of his pigs. It alludes to someone wanting to ensure the pigs were found. I don't believe a human trafficker would care about that if they are just wanting the rig. There has been comments that both hog sites are owned/ran by someone related to the Sheriff in each county. Thus also alluding to the lacidasical effort to preserve any evidence or get FBI involved. Input your own thoughts on that. However, these are just my sleuthing thoughts on the situation. Minds can guess, however unfortunately facts are he is gone and a family is missimg him.
I am wondering if someone was in his truck sleeper either from his last load or from the truck stop? Perhaps at some point they reveal themselves...skidmarks..and have him travel to where he was. He stopped when told to and saw a chance to try to get away, but they had someone waiting at the field entrance. Idk. It's awful.
That is certainly possible. The truck was found north of the intersection at hwy 71 , although David SHOULD have turned SOUTH. Also, one gentleman claimed that he believed someone other than David was actually driving the truck when he left with the load of pigs. If that is true, it raises a ton of other possibilities. Table you for watching...& tolerating my rant.
If the car was " waiting " then it'd be a local or at the very least premeditated. Question : Did he unload the pigs or switch trailers at the final destination ? Could they have stashed drugs in the trailer , upper trailer most likely above the small pigs . Did he rent the trailer he hauled with? Sometimes the public becomes better than the LE in my opinion.
Off topic, but about taking his wallet out when he drove. Thats pretty common. Biker chain wallets were originally worn by truckers way back in the 1920's and still today, so they wouldn't have to sit on their wallet for long periods of time and they wouldn't lose it.
You guys are the Life blood of the country , nothing would operate without your hard work transporting goods , be careful bro and know someone respects and appreciates you 🆗👍💉💀👽🚀🦉🌀🌪️👾🐍🐲🐉👁️🌍🌎🦘🦆✋🐓🐤🦢🦩🦅🐦🦜🥰
The timeline from when he left the truck stop in Fort Dodge to where he pulled off of 20 at the Sac City turn off took 50 minutes. Its 44 miles from the truck stop to the off ramp at highway 71. Traveling 68 mph it should have taken 38 minutes to travel 44 miles. Instead it took 50 minutes to travel this distance, 12 minutes longer than it should have taken if he was traveling 68 mph. We need to know where the Dot camera was and what time he seen there to better pinpoint where the lost time occurred when he was traveling on highway 20.
If I'm not mistaken, there used to be a small scale out there, but I'm not certain exactly where. I've not been out there in over 20 years. That scale was hardly ever open, anyway, so it may be shut down now. This is a pretty useless reply, but I'll post it anyway. 😔
@@ToxicTrucker No scale house between where he entered 20 to sac city it's a straight shot from point to point. The complete cellphone data would be useful while he drove this stretch, I'm sure its available since cell phones are always communicating with the nearest cell tower. My suspicion is more is known about the timeline than they have released to the public.
@@Mari-kj9rtThat's also possible Dave was driving 55 on highway 20 from the truck stop to the intersection of 71 and 20 which is an off ramp from 20 to 71. The time it would have taken to travel the distance from the truck stop to the intersection of 20 and 71 going 55 mph would have been 48 to 50 which agrees with the timeline given. At the intersection of 20 and 71 the truck should have turned left/ south to Sac but instead turned right/north to where it was found at the intersection of D15 4.4 miles down the road where cell phone data detected it at 1240. It took the driver of the truck 20 minutes to drive 4.4 which means the truck was moving at a speed of .6 mph. Whoever was driving the truck didn't know how to slip gears clearly.
I know little to nothing of trucking but I know someone was planning on thieving that truck and found out they couldn't drive it hence the shut off/down. To me your words make more sense on the missing of David Schultz than anyone God bless
I can literally feel your distress… They will try to eliminate all the people including truck drivers. Manmade famine. EMP strikes and something else sinister… Please, take a good care of yourself. You seem as a nice man.
I hope they find this man his family deserve him back i think your right someone made him stop and tried to take that truck i bet he would have given it if he knew it would save his life people forget its you the truck drivers that keep the world going without truckers we would have nothing and i do mean nothing please pray he is found
Strange things in that area for sure. Few weeks ago, I shut down for a 10 at The Mill T stop off of 20 / north of Holland, IA. Rolled about 2 am, two LH turns and I'm heading up the entrance ramp to get back on 20. Car on shoulder blacked out w lights off comes into view (I'm thinking it's broke down possibly, not a big deal). As I get closer and grab gears the lights come on, 4 way flashers come on suddenly. As I drive past and continue to pick up speed, the car goes back completely dark, all lights back off. I believe someone was trying to get me to stop and let curiosity get the better of me, to see if someone inside might need help. I continued up the ramp, caught a few more gears and headed off into the night toward my delivery. I felt it was strange where that car was sitting. Because they could look across the divided highway (20) and watch truckers do their pre trip walk around and who might be heading out soon. This isn't my first strange encounter either. Be safe drivers, and watch yourselves.
A car Tried to box me in at a shopping center years ago, I did not get out of my truck, And they ended up driving away. I called the police, gave them a description and they got in a chase with them and caught them
I need to ask this I worked in the office of a major hog confinement operation. Im talking 200 plus farms we NEVER delivered at night not ever and in all honesty when has anyone seen a live haul truck full at night especially in November. The farms wouldn't take a risk of having dead hogs from cold and yes they can die if too cold or hot. Something isn't right I grew up in that area Ive traveled those roads in the dead of night you dont see live hauls.
I just finished watching your thoughts on this case and I agree with you 150% sir. I think he was taken and he was taken by some sort of surprise endeavor to boot. I have watched some other trucker's thoughts on this case as well. There is a couple on here who truck together and I believe do or have trucked separately as well. Some of their experiences while out there made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I have been thinking on what you said and I have to also wonder if whoever did this thought initially maybe they would just steal the truck with the pigs in it? The reason I say this is because I live in a town with a meat processing plant (hogs) and a few years back some people did just that. They stole 3 semi trailers from a JB's plant at 7 in the morning. I also completely agree with your thoughts on them getting into the truck and realizing they were not going to be able to drive it. The fact that his coat/jacket was found on the ground tells me that he did not go willingly. If LE did not process the scene, as it was found, properly or thoroughly then they likely missed out on some important clues as to what happened. NOBODY leaves like that, like you said, turns off the truck, leaves their wallet, jacket and cash just to be leaving on their own free will. For one thing, IA winters are frickin' COLD. We've also got a LOT of illegals in this country now and they keep coming. The other truckers I watched were speakinng of people stopping the trucks or blocking the roads to stop the trucks.. The guy said he had an experience where he saw what was happeniing or got a weird feeling and did NOT stop, only to get by them and see at least one other guy come out from behind the vehicle. If he'd stopped who knows what would have happened? I think truckers are mostly good hearted people who would stop if someone acted like they need help. That's got to stop brothers. There is just too much meanness and dishonesty going on out there now. Please stay safe and I pray that soon this man's loved ones will have the answers they so desperately seek.
Your theory makes the most sense. But I heard the truck was found headed north on 71, north of 20, when his next stop was supposed to be off south 71 ?
I’ve thought all along that police know something. Why almost 2 months later and not one call to the FBI. WHY?? I feel horrible for his wife and kids. One family member made a comment and it goes to show how crazy some people are. God bless Sarah and boys. The cousin better STOP
Thank you. I am stunned by the response this video has received. It seems like many more people love this family than anyone knew. I have never known them, but they stay on my mind constantly. Btw, I just found out that there is a gofundme thing at up for them. I hope to do an update on that this weekend when (if) I get home. Trucking through the snow for this while trip, so all bets are off. But I would like to spread the word about the family's need and our opportunity to help. I just have to make it out of this mess, that's all. Thanks again for the kind blessings. I had no idea so many people would see this video.
I'm a owner operator up north I thought what would get me to stop in the travel lane? A vehicle pulling up to me with multiple guns pointed at me, not one guy but multiple guys. We are living in the days of Shanghai. Now he is a slave for the cartel. God speed David.
In the scenario of someone trying to get you to stop, since u know that your rig is tip top, slow down and start recording them , then get on the horn with authorities, but never allow them on the truck😊
Have you gotten in touch with missing 411. They just started digging deep into these missing truck drivers. Just a thought because you never know what will come of avenues. God bless
I'm just now hearing about David's disappearance. Have a question that hopefully doesn't sound ignorant. Do truckers still use CBs? I really don't know if Truckers talk on the radio like they used to. For safety reasons, stay in touch with other Trucker's. "Hey, something's going on", "I'm getting out of my truck" or "some ones following me". Say something/anything by clicking on the hand piece. I sincerely thought Truckers still use radios. In any situation/emergency, that would be so much faster than grabbing a cell phone & attempting to call someone. Cell phones take way to long & you never know if you're going to have service. This Trucker's case is suspicious & strange because he has children. Most parents won't leave their children. Sincerely hope David is found.
CB radios are not nearly as common as they once were. Many mega-carriers don't even allow them in the trucks anymore, & the new breed drivers don't use them even if equipped. (To wit, the multi-vehicle pile-ups that could be avoided if truckers were talking to one another.) These days, the only people running chatter boxes are local ag trucks, rock truckers, loggers, & some dude in Alabama with a home base on a 100' whip.
Maybe some guys seen him at the fuel stop, and one got in his truck and hid ? And the other one followed the truck, the the guy poped out with a gun and told him where to drive, explaining why he missed his turn and turned north instead on 71. They made him stop, he tried to make a run for it, leaving his phone and wallet, the other guy shoots him or something, the guy in the truck gets in the driver seat, realizes he cant operate it and turns it off, they kidnap him to get rid of his body.. maybe ?
Well said safety first I worry about my nephew driving truck The world's just not a safe place Heck even back in the '90s it was a dangerous place to be in all on the road trucker let alone nowadays where the whole world's going to hell in a handbag and everybody thinks they can just take whatever they want or hurt somebody just because they pissed them off
Thank you. David is my cousin and has always been a good guy. Praying from CA for his safe return!
Praying the same. God be with your family through this.
@@tlc0963 idk what you’re talking about. My posts are & have been respectful & concerned. David is a good human, i agree with Sarah that he’s been taken. He’d not voluntarily leave his family. Lastly, my fb profile picture is of me, not this sunset pic.
Praying for your loved one. 🙏
This is so sad what’s happened. I feel for Sarah and the family what they are going thru. 🙏🙏🙏
So sorry,I hope he is found and is ok.
I was the guy who fly the drone during the searches for david. I am also a former livestock hauler. You have hit this right on the head. Great job
@@monkeyexpressaerial couldn't law enforcement provide that
Im not begging anyone to donate i dont care if they do or dont. I have been saving for the drone and will keep saving for it. Plus if they had a drone. Then why was i out with mine. Have a good day
@doubletree1005 did you get my reply
I'm a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ will be praying for your husband and you and your family.
This breaks my heart. Human trafficking (sexx, ORGAN harvesting) is everywhere. It’s so scary.
@@Mari-kj9rt I have heard of gofunfme, but I don't know much about it. Do you have any link or whatever? How can I contribute to the family?
His cousin made a comment that is making me livid
@@Mari-kj9rtwhy in the hell would they say anything? It’s wrong and people need to realize David was the bread winner. I contributed and I will again. Why haven’t the sheriff called FBI

1000 % Agree with you . I believe he was forced over by road rage, brake checking or by other nefarious means. Jacket off in ditch tells me there was a fight , took off before or pulled off .
The field was
Most likely a corn or bean field drive for farm tractors to gain access to the field for planting or harvesting .
I'm praying he is found. 🙏
I hope he is found safe soon 🙏
I pray they can still find him safe, but like many say it’s strange WHY didn’t the sheriffs department do more. What about the FBI. If it was a female trucker would it make a difference? There’s too many unknowns about this case.
Someone tell Sarah & her boys she’s in my prayers. I’m praying for her husband.
God Bless all Truckers, thank you toxic (don’t know your name)
I have no clue what happened, but if somebody tried to force me to stop my truck I'd plow right through them and keep on going while calling 911.
Yes don’t ever stop even if they follow you
Truck or Car
I just listened to another UA-cam channel that was talking about another missing trucker that they ended up finding dead not too far away from where they found his truck. And you're right the times we're living in or getting more dangerous every day. I wouldn't drive anywhere without being armed.
Today I was delivering an aluminum load from Monessen,PA to Yankton,SD.Google maps shortened the distance by taking US 20 through Iowa, yet I took that route before and a gut feeling told me to avoid it today so I took I 80 and up I 29 through Sioux City even though it was longer.I pray that David would be found soon.
I believe those gut feelings serve a valuable purpose and should be top priority. Good call. Glad you made it through.
Prayers for the Schultz Family ❤️
policing today has become NOTHING but to harass the innocent..they can not perform a real investigation to save there EVIL soules
Police don't intend on printing anything. Praying for answers for this family.
Prayers for David.
100% on all of this! My husband has been a truck driver for most if his adult life and he says the same thing!
The guy you were talking about is on canam missing project. David paulides made a video about David. He’s made 14 episodes of missing truck drivers. All episodes are recently made go check them out.
I watched all of them...they were really good..makes me hope that David is ok and just has amnesia.
Thank you for speaking about this. Its local to me and is just sad that not much else has happened to help find him
I believe the law enforcement is purposely ignoring the kidnapping theory because kidnappings are nearly impossible to solve after the first couple of days. Sheriffs & District Attorneys must convince voters to reelect them, & having unsolved crimes on their records is bad for business. This case has really rubbed me wrong for a lot of reasons. Unfortunately, my channel, my voice, is far too small to have any affect. I worry for the family. 😢

I super appreciate that you truly care about your fellow man! Yeah,,, don’t stop!
No trucker I know would ever drive past his destination like that and be driving away from it unless he was under some sort of duress…
At some point along the route a second person somehow got into that cab with him.
The person with the gun may have unlocked the doors right as they were stopping if they were locked and the
driver was hauled out of the cab of the truck. likely struggled to get away and stride to slip backwards out of his jacket in his attempt to get free of his attackers.

Being a the daughter of a trucker out of Florida anything is possible; our world is so F'ed up. Just breaks my heart.. Sending Love and prayers.
❤Bless you and all the drivers...thank you for your service.😢
Stay safe.

Yes, the articles state he was pinged at the 20 & 71 corner at 12:18 am and his phone was at the site of incident since around 12:40 am.
I'm praying for him, and all Truckers as well.
He might have damaged the drug shipment. Or, he knew too much and was no longer needed. Geez. So sad.
First time watching your video. Thank you for sharing. This is sad and scary. I remember hear this story. So glad your video makes sense. My little brother drives everywhere and picks up, drops off. I worry for him. RIP David., you will be vindcated. God bless and protect our truck drivers! 🇺🇸
I’m surprised he wasn’t strapped. I have for along time. Insured by Smith&Wesson. Running livestock middle of the night.
Thank you for doing this video. I Hope he is found alive . Such a bad deal i feel for the wife and the children they need him! 😪
FBI needs to get involved!
dave paulidis did a piece on dave schultz. and some other missing people including truckers. some people vanish from national forests. channel name is canam missing. there are a few cases where a person goes missing just like this, and turns up months and miles away w amnesia.. no idea what happened. quite a few of those.
I watch Dave Paulides's videos too...hopefully he is found safe.
This is very frustrating. This was never treated as a crime scene. From the beginning he was probably abducted. Truck moved by inexperienced driver ...As i told the police department...Pointed in the direction that the assailants forced this man into a car.
What a precious heart you have. This is a nightmare.
I suppose it's possible, though unlikely. I don't think David knew he was in serious trouble until it was too late.
Sending prayers and positive thoughts to all his friends and family. God Bless you all Love
Prayers From Ohio.
Instead of stopping for people on the road if they were acting like they needed help call the local police to help them and report it
Great point about the fingerprints!
I 100% agree with you and that sheriff needs to be looked into as well as the owner.
Thank you for sharing and caring. Be safe.
@@ToxicTruckerin his wife's interview she clearly identified him on the video from the truck stop after he loaded the pigs.
If the car was
" waiting " then it'd be a local or at the very least premeditated.
Praying he is found safe !! 🙏
It was late at night and loaded with live animals and the threat of deer, it would not be uncommon to see a trucker run at 55 mph at night
The speed of travel from the intersection of 20 and 71 to D15 would have been around 13 mph not .6 mph to travel the 4.4 miles in 20 minutes.
EMP strikes and something else sinister…
Please, take a good care of yourself.
Very concerning😮😢Good luck, buddy in your quest to find him. ❤❤❤
Relatives, please, don’t lose hope! 🙏🏻 I know it’s hard… I’ll pray for him too…
Hate when bad things happen to a good people.
We Thank you for your service and sacrifice. It's no doubt becoming more dangerous and political. Blessings of safety and good health to each of you.
Let us pray that all the truck drivers come home safe and the hunters too. Keep on praying.
Thank you for being there, be careful.
Whenever a truck driver goes missing, it seems it gets little attention and no real search happens. It’s a sad situation.
Thank you so much for doing this. Something very strange is happening.
Prayers to his family🙏
Your theory makes the most sense. But I heard the truck was found headed north on 71, north of 20, when his next stop was supposed to be off south 71 ?
I’ve thought all along that police know something. Why almost 2 months later and not one call to the FBI. WHY?? I feel horrible for his wife and kids. One family member made a comment and it goes to show how crazy some people are. God bless Sarah and boys. The cousin better STOP
What comment are you referring to? When and by whom?
@@Lindsey-kp1mx the comment about the boys being at grandparents house and Sarah not going. I think she just wanted some me time

I pray for you and your fellow truck drivers. God be with you and protect you all❤
Continued Prayers to you & others from in your travels from Iowa.
This is frightening. What in the world??
Be careful,,, 😢
I'm a owner operator up north I thought what would get me to stop in the travel lane? A vehicle pulling up to me with multiple guns pointed at me, not one guy but multiple guys. We are living in the days of Shanghai. Now he is a slave for the cartel. God speed David.
In the scenario of someone trying to get you to stop, since u know that your rig is tip top, slow down and start recording them , then get on the horn with authorities, but never allow them on the truck😊
Prayers for David🙏🏼

So scary 😨 sad for his family.Lord be with him!!
Love love your show. Wow. I agree.
May God bless and keep all the truckers
Have you gotten in touch with missing 411. They just started digging deep into these missing truck drivers. Just a thought because you never know what will come of avenues. God bless
I will be Praying for All trucks OMG! Drivers . And the missing Driver safe return, 😢😢😢
They made him stop, he tried to make a run for it, leaving his phone and wallet, the other guy shoots him or something, the guy in the truck gets in the driver seat, realizes he cant operate it and turns it off, they kidnap him to get rid of his body.. maybe ?
Well said safety first I worry about my nephew driving truck The world's just not a safe place Heck even back in the '90s it was a dangerous place to be in all on the road trucker let alone nowadays where the whole world's going to hell in a handbag and everybody thinks they can just take whatever they want or hurt somebody just because they pissed them off
I hope a lot of truckers get your safety information.
We also lost a brother in Maryland last June. The body was found months later..
Prayers for All Truckers🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
