I loved this.....because it wasn’t some fancy edited generic crap that showed you nothing other that buying 20k’s worth of tools. It showed the true mistakes and adaptations that a DIY person has to overcome. Re-inventing the wheel every-day. Some call them mistakes, we call them lessons. Fair play mate well done 🤜🏼 sub’d.
@@joebuilds Hey Joe, I just wanted you to know I completed my wall safe install and I had to go through your exact scenario. My closet had studs that were too close together, so there was no avoiding cutting one out in place. So bought the Makita multitool and Kreg (R3). Everything worked great and although I spent more on tools than the safe itself, I had fun doing the project. I would not have attempted it without your tutorial. Thanks for sharing
@@seanharris7546 that’s awesome to hear! Look on the positive side. The tools were still cheaper then a handyman and you have them for your next project and more fun 👍🏻.
I’m guessing u had no issues for anyone watching in the future’ Be careful cutting any studs unless u know it’s not a support wall’ The builder could have been cheap like u see in a garage and that stud in the middle is because they made a top plate from shorter 2x4 etc So each end could be resting on that middle 2x4 that’s why it’s there’ not always just saying be careful’ if that were the case your entire top plate would have just fell in and caused thousands in damages’
Haha I couldn’t agree more. Surprisingly though it’s holding up nicely and works as it should just definitely not stopping anyone with a bit of ambition.
Holy Mother of tympanic membranes man, the time lapse audio effect of that multitool is obnoxious to say the least! good work tho, but maybe next time put in a musical sound track during the "Montague" scenes?
Thumbs up for including your kid in the project!
The safe installation is the easy part, but that picture frame hinge was genius.
Very nice job, bro!
As always we'll done joe.
By the way I love the sound of that multi tool!
Thx! I know, I didn’t know how to edit sound when I made this. I do now. Lol
Thanks for the video! Your hinge idea was exactly what I needed!
Thats a vibe tool ….
Thanks for the informative video sir , excellent idea. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

What size picture worked for that safe?
18x24 is the size of the picture I used
When you drill the 2x4 what are you drilling them into and what size nails did you use ?
I’m screwing them into the existing studs in the walls as well as the horizontal supports I added. I used 2.5in construction screws.
What’s the pocket hole jig you used?
I have the kreg k5. Absolutely love it!

It would be my luck that they would like the picture and try to steal it.
good work. but i wouldnt give you ten cents for the safe
