Kids don’t really care what you’re working on. Just as long as you’re doing it together. My nephew even liked helping unclog drains. He was helping and got a sense of accomplishment. Now he does all kinds of DYI projects. Proud of him. He’s a hard worker.

I farmed for years and took my daughters everywhere I went. They remember the parts runs and hours in the tractor and combine cabs and all the naps in the tractor cab floor. Now, in their thirties, those memories are special.

    Aspiring craftsman my foot !
    1. Superb fit and finish.
    2. Very nice garage shop.
    3. Best looking helper I have ever seen.
    4. Darn good videography.
    5. Not one second of time was repetitive jabber or stupid graphics.
Taking into consideration all of the above I do believe this is the best video I have ever run across on the internet.
Now, I will admit the fact that this craftsman looks like my son did 30 years ago and the “craftsman’s” assistant is about the age of my beautiful great granddaughter may have slightly influenced my objectivity.

Sorry me too man your situation sounds exactly like mine. The hardest part is not being able to pick up the phone and call him when I have a problem with my electrical, plumbing, car, it just seems like that he knew you had to fix everything no matter what it was he never called anybody to do work at our house he did everything. And like I said the part I miss the most is just been able to pick up the phone and call him and ask him how to fix the problem. Sorry for your loss man. I feel it.

@@heygetoffmylawn1572 I just typed out a message for you and it vanished. I was telling you about my sister passing away too. 11 months ago. I hate it when that happens. She had end stage Cancer when she found out. It was to late. I pretty much raised her. Taught her all the little things in life. Like how to tie her shoes, wash her hands, eat with a fork. You get the picture. 3 Days before she dies I CAME DOWN WITH double pneumonia. I woke up in an ICU Unit with a machine breathing for me. Found out she had died while I was in a coma. Her youngest daughter told me how it all went down. So you can imagine . This last year 2019 was nothing but bad stuff happen. Niece said she was screaming and fighting all the way up to the end. I wish I could have been there. I would have made hospice sedate her. So, she could pass peacefully. She was so frightened of dying. Stuff been eating me up. Now I'm the baby of the family. You know... I still can't cry. I sure need some closure. I tried. I relly did. Went and bought a new truck just soI could drive to Missouri to bring her to Texas and live with me. And later he said, "stay there" and even though she wanted to crawl over there she didn't. I can't judge children's ages either, so I don't know how old she is, but by sheer looking at her, in her little diaper, I didn't expect that level of linguistic comprehension. This is just ignorance in my part. It really reinforces, to me, how important this kind of stimulation (actually taking to them with "real" speech) and quality time must be during earlier stages than I would have expected. @@michaelc3977 I'm not arguing the second part. I'm arguing the blanket generalization of the first. The whole point was to point out the flaw in that generalization through jest, but you decided to resort to an ad hominem about my parentage instead of making a counterpoint.

@@michaelc3977 First, how does claiming my parents didn't parent me, and thus lacked common sense, have anything to do with the argument at all? Second, I was merely arguing with the phrasing of the idiom not the message. I do believe the message. It should be "common sense", but then again if "common sense" were common then everyone would have it thus rendering the idiom moot.

Wonderful video! Answered so many questions while being so warm and full of love. You are NOT an aspiring craftsman; you should drop the "aspiring" part... you ARE a craftsman... and a stellar dad. Thanks for making and posting this.

I love it! You are teaching your daughter from a very young age that she can do anything and especially that her Daddy loves her. You are a great Dad!
