I dont believe you can monetize or "make money" from making a song or freestyle from someone else's content. They most likely already copyright their material so if you use an industry beat or music, UA-cam wont even allow you to monetize cuz it would be illegal. I think in some cases you can get permission to use a beat but you gotta pay a fee and may be able to get some form of income but I doubt it. Only way I see it happening is if you create a remix with another artist and they know about it and are willing to split some of the profits
I've heard that you could get a strike or be sued by the system. I don't wanna risk losing my channel with my original music, so I just wanna make sure I _won't_ get my channel deleted by making remixes.
A artist i saw that did this well was named somo he did a weekend medley but with a well edited video. Also a medley might be good because someone could click to hear you do a certain song then might stay to hear more of their favorite songs performed. This applies more to you singers tho lol
