I love watching these. I dont even need to do this. So easy to do and you make these vids simple to follow, no bullshit. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar
Aw thanks
Another great video I used to diagnose my CYL#3 misfire. Turned out to be a bad injector. Replaced with all new OEM injectors and the car feels much quicker than before. Replaced at 188k miles.
Love how you get the most out of your stock parts and only upgrade when your stock part has reached its limit
Thank you for adding to your super-helpful library of how-to videos. They are simple, clear and straight-forward and has really helped me plan and tackle my own jobs. One question I have is when is recommended replacement of injectors or typical symptoms of perhaps needing to take a look at the fuel system? Thanks!
Same here. Long-term s2k owner here and the author of these videos really does the community a big service by making these very well made videos. THANK YOU
Much easier and more straightforward than doing it on non DBW cars with return lines.
I would say the DBW cars are in general much nicer to work on from a mechanical perspective.
@@DIYGuysvideo The ability to tune without needing a stand-alone.
Great video! I realized 06-up looks a lot different from my 04.
Yea it does. That’s why I made a separate video for it :)
Awesome video straight forward! Thanks for the tutorials !!
Dude thank you so much for making these videos!
YESSS! Thank you for this finally a good fuel injector install video!! Also quick question is the process similar for an ap1 s2000?
The general process is the same but the injectors are different as well as the fuel rail. Different enough that I wanted to make a separate video.
@@DIYGuysvideo Understood, I’ll be looking forward to that video.
Look forward to non-DBW injector video!
E85 conversion would be a nice diy.
Hey, can you do a video on how a working PCV should sound when you pinch the rubber tube?
Yet another brilliant, on the money S2K video! With AP1’s at 20 years of age is it worth considering new injectors as a way to prolong the life of the car? My Porsche ownership leads me to think that injector leakage and cylinder washdown is a risk worth mitigating. The OEM injectors are about 500USD for a set. Does anyone know of a cheaper direct replacement to the factory part?
Good points. I'm also wondering whether ultrasonic cleaning and seal replacement is sufficient or whether its wise to go with new injectors entitely.
Personally I haven’t noticed any symptoms or issues with my injectors. I am simply getting them cleaned because apparently that is a prerequisite for getting tuned. Anyhow, it will be interesting to see the flow analysis before and after.
I love you guys! Any tips on how to do this for AP1s?
It’s similar, I should do a video on it at some point but nothing in particular.
When upgrading your fuel injector, do you need to put a new tune on your car? so that the feul injetors work most efficiently?
Thx mate!!
Thank you for this as usual !
Anytime
@@DIYGuysvideo do you have a video of diy engine bay cleaning?
Where did you take them to get cleaned at? Also what are your thoughts on just buying fluids like seafoam or injector cleaner vs sending them out
I had a misfire last week i thought it was my coils or my plugs bought brand new ones reinstalled; still misfire codes. It turned out to be my e manage had a lose ground with my ecu making the car run like shit. Now i have new coils new plugs and i bought a bunch of injector cleaning as my thought that was the next thing. I was also thinking it might of been bad gas. All my old parts were fine. You live learn and spend money
I actually haven’t sent them out yet but there is a company in LA I plan to send them to. RC injector is the company I believe. I have no opinions on seafoam or fuel injector cleaner. Never tried them.
Are you ever going to do a bump steer kit install?
Hmm. Maybe when I lower car on coilovers. I would do it if someone else needed it done on their car though.
would this be a similar process for a 2001 ap1?
06+ cars have a return less fuel system, but the overall removal is the same
The fuel rail and o ring situation is a little different. There is no quick disconnect for the fuel line. I plan on making a separate video for 00-05.
@@DIYGuysvideo wanna do it for my 04? Ha you can film on my garage.
Torque these nuts 🌰 🐿 🤣
