Welcome to Train Life: A Railway Simulator! Drive your passengers or goods across 10 countries and explore the countryside, towns, forests and mountains of Europe from your cab. Each locomotive has its own characteristics (power, braking, etc.), which you need to learn to control them expertly, while following the railway signs and adapting to the weather conditions.
As well as driving trains, you need to operate a successful company. Create your own company; buy and maintain your trains; hire conductors and give them new contracts; explore new routes; and optimize your Passenger and Freight activities. Make the right choices to earn money and grow your business!

Sadly he's not as funny as Gray or LGIO. Josh would be finding ways to yeet that train across all of Europe in one go, and Gray would somehow find a way to run himself over with it 50 times.

I found it both amusing and frustrating that he hated getting fined for speeding while totally not watching the speed limit on the bottom right of the screen.

How does the free roam work? Can you actually switch tracks to go wherever you want and just go for a nice trip if you want?
When you’re approaching a switch the colour of the left/right tells you which to pick to follow the gps. Green is your gps route and red is the wrong way. Once you figure that out navigation is incredibly simple.

Derailed more than once got fined multiple times and constantly broke the speed limit. If that's the safe play through I dread to see the risky one 🤣🤣
For an open world simulator this game is pretty linear.

Drae was the perfect person to show this game off. I'm far more impressed with how much the game lets you mess up than I would be watching someone do it properly. I do think these games need to stop being so safe with the fade to black derailments, though. And that time bonus was in the negative. Multiply a number by .8 and see which way it goes.

Looked like you blew past a red dwarf signal when you started out because there was a red light near the ground when leaving. That might have been your first 500 fine. As to your momentary freak out about blowing a red signal towards the end remember the first set of wheels hitting the circuit are going to drop the signal to red so you were backing 3 cars so they dropped the signal before the locomotive. Might want to get some practice in with braking under load as your braking distance is always going to be longer than you think.
Lastly might want to see if there's any way you can control the locomotive while riding the shove ( riding the last car in a backing movement) while it might not be important with a 3 car move in daylight but at night or as train length grows shunting a back up move by the braille method could start getting pricey.

When I worked as a train conductor we smoked a black bear going 60mph once, and a buddy of mine once hit 20+ cows, they were grazing on the grass growing on the tracks and only about half of them moved out of th e way
It looks cool it was kinda funny to watch while you sounding stressed over all the random fines you were getting😂 maybe a regular delivery’s are close but contract ones are long distance. But what would Ik I never played the game 😂

4:00 It really irks me when Drae doesn't read the text on screen. like it literally says he is speeding yet he is asking "am i going too fast?". I get it lots of gaming creators do this and it irks me all the time
tip drae the navi has a left and right text if it shows red its bad green is good which means your on the right side and direction righte when you have waypoint plotted small circle with the blue dot is the traffic signal
Looks fun though kinda wish it was a bit like metro sim or one of the dynasty games where yeah a big part of the game is trains but you have a house and other things you can do and your not just a train
