- PSVR2 review of The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR by Supermassive Games. This game was released in March 2023 but hundreds complained that there were major blurry texture and low resolution issues, which Supermassive Games later acknowledged was not good enough. In July 2024 they published patch 1.060 which was alleged to address the issues. See what I made of the patch and how it affects the overall game in this review

Thank you for the video! Unfortunately I purchased the game on release. After the first two levels I quit because the bad graphics disappointed me and broke the full horror immersion.
After the last patch I wanted to give it another try but I'm really still thinking about doing that.

@@FLATearthGARY Well I tried the first level and the visuals are a little bit better but not that much. The picture isn't that blurry like before but most of the textures seemed to be untouched and are still with a low resolution.
The gameplay hasn't also changed and the jump scares are boring as before. It's was really hard for me to keep playing because the presentation of this game made me tired and sleepy without any scary scenes.
I really regret the purchase and can not recommend it. Rush of blood was much better.
So sadly said the video creator might be mostly right about his opinion.
That's really a shame cuz there are not many great games for PSVR2 at the moment.

An actual honest review. Psvr 2 is a big pile of unrealized potential.
Yes it’s a sad state of affairs at the minute, we keep getting low res and muddy textured old quest 2 type of games that are 2016 VR standard. I think the developers are lazy or underfunded for proper game engines. The best games have been the AAA games by actual developers doing top tier titles like GT7, Resident Evil Village, Horizon Call of The Mountain and so on

Wow actually someone giving an objective review to this game instead of kissing supermassive’s ass - the game is very mediocre - I have no idea why after the success of ROB - which was a flat out horror shooter they decided to make some kind of adventure action puzzle box shooter piece of crap - supermassive fail - subscribed will look out for more of your reviews 👍🏼
Bought it yesterday on sale, turned it of after first slope downhill, i got so sick so fast. No psvr2 game made me so sick ever not even close

Digressing: I just recently bought a PSVR2 and discovered that due to my location/region (Berlin) that I initially set-up in my PS5, I am limited to what games I can download from the online PS Storefront.
Can anyone tell me a way around this?
Do I have to set-up another account & then select another Region?
What region is the best, to get the most amount of games?
