  • A few years ago, I made a video showing how to make your own tall planters. And then a year or two later, I showed a smaller version. But now when I try to find the tall round trash cans, I can’t find them any more! So I decided to update the video with tall round trash cans that are available right now on Amazon. And I have to say, these are probably my favorite!
These planters were really easy to make, and affordable! For $60.00 I was able to make a pair of really tall planters to go with the other 4 I have already made.
If you are looking for the things I used in this video, here are the 2 most important things to get:
Tall Round Trash Cans that I used (35 inches tall) : amzn.to/37vHGqX
A little bit shorter trash cans (26 inches tall): amzn.to/3cW0osQ
    Heritage Chalk Paint: amzn.to/3fg7iuC
This is a really fast and inexpensive way to dress up your front door. You could also use them with your horse jumps, as decorations next to your standards.

I really like this idea of using trash cans because tall planters can be so pricey. I’m gonna make some and add something for feet. Also think I’m going to spray paint mine with that stone look textured paint and put a protector finish on top to secure as I live in a pretty windy/rainy area. Thanks for your video.

Thank you so much for showing the finished product FIRST in order to see if your audience even wants to make the product. Other designers try to trick people and make people wait until the end of their video because they want you to watch their whole video. I just skip to the finish and check it out to see if i want to make the item when they do that

But a good video maker I will always show the finished product, then give the details, and then show the finished product again. That’s the basics for a good presentation. Tell people what you’re going to tell them, then tell them the details, and then wrap it up by summarizing what you told them.

Hi, we own a landscape construction company and have some landscape fabric, that would work. Landscape fabric is what some people put down before they plant a garden ect., it keep the weeds from coming up yet allows for drainage. Maybe cheesecloth would work, you can get that at any fabric store and is cheaper!

I'm close to 60 years old & hadn't been to the dentist in over 20 years! I broke a tooth six years ago and broke a different tooth four years ago. I stay at home most days and dont always brush my teeth. Dreading what the prognosis might be, last week, I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned.
Luckily, I have strong teeth. Complete x-rays revealed I have no decay, including my broken teeth with missing enamel and exposed dentin. The dentist was shocked that my teeth were in "A1" condition after decades without professional dental care and that I was not having any pain or problems with my broken teeth.
The dentist considered my broken teeth an emergency situation and they should be filled immediately. I was told leaving the dentin exposed allowed food, liquids, saliva and bacteria to travel down the tubuals in the dentin directly to the tooth root. The dentist insisted that this would lead to root canals of my broken teeth.
I decided to continue to care for my teeth & body as always.....with moderation. I avoid medications as much as possible, eat a varied diet, rich in dairy, nuts and proteins. I eat fresh veggies as often as possible.
I must note that I do drink Coca-cola and Pepsi products and eat pastries/sweets occasionally throughout the week. I don't have skin breakouts, allergies or food sensitivities.
My point is, there is no educated nutritional special approach to healthy teeth. A varied diet, not vegan, not vegetarian, not keto and etc. is healthy for teeth and body. Eat everything! Get nutrients from everywhere!
I do try to limit consumption of highly processed food, but remembering my rule of moderation. The human body is naturally designed to compensate for varied food consumption. Total elimination of foods or excessive regular consumption of certain foods is not healthy! Moderation for everything.
I must stress the importance of hygiene. Many nutrients are obsorbed through oral capillaries without entering the stomach. Keep your mouth clean! Chew slowly to allow absorbstion of micronutrients. The key to a clean mouth is water. Eventhough I don't always brush, I do always rinse. I thoroughly rinse my teeth with water after eating or drinking anything. I avoid swooshing water under my tongue so natural enzymes can continue to break down food micronutrients ready to be absorbed by the bloodstream.
Keep a clean mouth and eat a varied diet for strong, healthy teeth and body.

You could repurpose the lid by fixing lid shut, drill some holes & presto hanging basket. If you were to put dirt directly into it , i'd line it with a plastic bag so as not to rust it out too quickly. Latex paint may work also to protect metal parts

  • @lyricwritertoo

I like the raised planter idea but all the extra dirt and pine cones seem unnecessary to me unless you really wanted a plant to grow larger inside that container. I would still drill holes but weight and or stack bricks inside. The pine cones will decay and you may end up with basically a compost pile in there. I do like the look, event painted. Looks like cement. A new technique is to add baking soda or coffee grinds to chalk paint to texture items. I maybe would somehow build a shelf for inside. Leave the plant in original pot or a pot that can be affixed to edge of the plant tower. Has a lip to hang over? I do have a green thumb. I double pot all the time into everything. I cut down the black plastic gallon and bigger containers that came with plants to fit in more shallow pots. Even soda bottles etc. It’s way less tedious to lift an inner pot out and change out a plant. But I really like the trash can idea as a raised look. In place of a giant cement pot i cant move. Lots of potential with this idea.

I know it's been a year since this was originally, but couldn't the tops of the can be turned upside down in the can to plant the flowers in? It could sit on top of the pinecones. What are your thoughts?

Great ideal! In the tall planter she just put the flower in its original pot directly in the planter, correct?? Thanks in advance.
