For the first four projects, I hacked regular Dollar Tree and took them up a notch with some quick and easy tricks. Then, for the next four projects, I used non- planter items likes baskets, bowls, bags and milk cartons and created High End look planter from those! I also did multiple planters in my HIGH END DECOR DOLLAR DUPE series and I will provide links to those below. I will be back next week with another DOLLAR DUPE of a High End Retailer!

Question: Why do you use chalk paint and not acrylic paint? I’ve seen a lot of crafters on You Tube use chalk paint, but no one says why?
I have quite the collection of recyclable items. My husband said that it's amazing what I can come up with, with what others call garbage!
If I can save stuff from going to the landfill and making it into something beautiful, I know it's only doing 10% but if others did the same just think how much better our landfill would be! 😃
Great job Rosemary first thing your red pot that you weren't happy with, well I think it turned out pretty good. I think it looks like ceramic glaze!
I just love that you aren't afraid to try anything. I loved them all.
Like the burlap trick. UT we don't have that coco here !
I have to admit, sometimes when I'm watching what you're doing, I am a little confused and think that there's no way that is going to look good...and then you show the completed project and my mind is always blown! I loved all of these planters, including the red one. It really did look glazed, it just looked like it was glazed with some extra darker streaks in it. My least fave was probably the architectural one, just because I'm not a fan of that type of planter. My most favorite was the last one with the succulents in it. That one turned out absolutely GORGEOUS and looks like a well used stoneware bowl, almost like something you'd see in a museum exhibit. I loved it! Thanks for sharing all your great ideas!
Hi Kelley! LOL! I love it! Always keep you guessing! It's like being on a roller coaster and you think you are going to crash into a wall and at the last second, there is sharp turn and disaster avoided! So glad you liked the planter hacks especially the bowl one! Thanks too for your suggestion regarding the milk cartons! I agree that since they are made to hold liquid they should be ok but I can also see how they could decompose over time but since actually holding soil with periodic watering it should be a really long time. But the cup or other non decomposable container would be a good solution. 😊💗
@@FABEDhacks ❤❤❤
On the video I really like the red planter. All are quite nice.
Me too. I am watching on my phone, but I think it was pretty.
Loved the creamy coloured one with the faux wood bottom most but I loved them all.
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks especially the faux wood one! 😊💗
@@FABEDhacks i love all your projects, becsuse you take great care and finish things nicely i hate sloppy crafters who throw things together.
What fabulous planters. I like the way the red pot came out. 🤗
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks even the red one! 😊💗
I like them all but my favorite is the brown and the white painted over the beige one😀😁😀TFS
Hi The 1st is my Fave and the Blue bag on the coffee can !!!!
I love the red planter
Every single one of those turned out looking amazing! I’m so impressed with your ingenuity of taking dollar tree items and upcycling them into these beautiful planters! And actually with the red one, I really do like that you extended the brown paint all the way down to make it a consistent pattern.
oh man, the feet on the easter basket! BRILLIANT!
I really liked the clear bowl with white paint/textured with bead feet. Also the larger planter with raised pattern, and the sauced planter. all great.
Great ideas love the white and brown one.
Love them all but the placemat ones were outstanding.
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks especially the place mat ones! 😊💗
I respect the fact that you can evaluate your projects and reflect on what works and what doesn’t. Well done.
And I almost forgot I really like the one that had the wooden bottom look to it that was awesome
Thanks LeeAnn! That def one of my favs too!
I really like the paint color on the second pot . she has great taste
These are great! I am currently planning window boxes made of recyclable containers; tetra packs, plastic berry baskets etc because I live on the ground floor in an urban area and have had plants stolen from my windowsill and porch...so I will make ones with outer walls made of pressed tin painted copper that look great but collapse if you try to pick them up, and the inner parts will be zip tied together in a zigzag that can't be picked up. Everything will be tethered to the inside of the window frame.
I love the pots especially the bowl one.
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks especially the bowl! 😊💗
I like the red planter. Maybe some gold paint would make you like the brown portions more…it’s kind of an animal print! I like it!
I actually think the glazed ceramic pot looked quite good, but, maybe, it was because I am not in person, but seeing through the camera. 🤷 I think, if you keep working on it, that technique may be work. I actually really liked it.
I truly enjoy your creativity with these pots....I’ve been saving Maxwell House coffee containers and now they’ll be used for veggies etc.....I have steps going up to my art studio so I’m taking copper wire that I’ve stripped from scraps of electric wire to hang them with....hopefully it will keep the critters from munching up my lettuces and herbs.
Because of your projects you’ve inspired me to recycle old pots and also using Dollar Tree items
Very talented lady and right to the point👏👏👏
Ur red pot is a amazing give yourself a pat on ur back u did a wonderful job
Hiya Rosemary. All very beautiful planters.
Great video! I can’t pick a favorite..they are all wonderful!
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks! 😊💗
red pottery look is my favorite
Thank you so much for your creativity. The messenger bag idea gave me an idea for covering a plastic planter. Wish viewer photos were uploadable to show viewer results based on your instructions. Thanx so much!
All were good but the succulent bowl was my favorite. It looks like metal.
I LOVE THE EASTER BASKET...👍
Loved the milk carton and placemat💕😁
I'm transplanting miniature roses today in pots until they get big enough to survive in the ground and the dogs! These will be perfect for their next upgrade! Thanks for some ideas!
Loved them all especially the first one. That simple technique really brought the planter alive!
The Easter basket with stamps for feet was so smart! Loooove that! I love all these ideas, but the stamps as feet was really unique, in my opinion.
Your vision for diys is outstanding. You amazing me every time.
I love the brown with legs and the one with saucer
My favorite one is the pot with the legs. My second favorite one is the white one with the wood looking bottom. I think all of them are nice. 🙂
The red pot was my favorite, although I'm not a fan of red. The glazed pots in the store are so expensive and heavy, but your dupe was amazing, and very believable. The open weave pot with the legs was also a winner.
Ms. L Churchill
The white and wood looking one is my fav!! Thank you
I loved how the grey one turned out with the more cream white and wood base look. I have the exact same pot and I was content with it but now I’m inspired to take it up a notch. Thanks!!!
Gorgeous! thanks for the ideas. Great day!
I agree with you, regarding the red planter. Too muddy.
All were so fun and easy. Genius!
Yeah...I love every pot upgrade EXCEPT FOR the red one....HOWEVER..on the bright side you could just repaint it! :)
The pot looks fantastic! It just needed a few light sprays with a water bottle to help it blend and flow more naturally, in my opinion.
Nah I like the after on the red pot looks like glass so cool
I love all of these!!! You did an amazing job!!! Who would of thought the dollar tree items could look soooooo nice!!! If I HAD to pick a favorite …… it would be the off white with terra cotta base one!!! And the the red one that you didn’t like IS nice!!! ( my second favorite is the succulent one!! ) All BEAUTIFUL!!! 💕💕💕
Loved the Easter basket planter that would be a perfect orchid planter.
How cute the easter basket!!💞💞
We have the same tastes! That one is second fav next to the saucer one!
My favorite was the Easter basket. But they all are awsome
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks especially the basket one! 😊💗
I liked the Easter basket one.
The succulent was my most favorite!!! They’re all really great! Thanks for sharing! Will be hacking one of these and trying it out!
Hey girl! Love how you up cycled the planters. They look fantastic. Your red planter looks like it has glaze on it. There is a glaze that has bits of glass thst vary in size from pieces about the size of a pin head to pieces the size of a pea. They melt when fired and gives a lookvery similar to what you created. You may not like the pot, but I like it and that's all that matters to me. The way you made the planters with contrasting colors give them an appearance of high end pots.
Hello Miss Mary! Hope you are doing well as springtime arrives and the snows thaw! Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks even the red one! And so glad to hear about the glass glaze process and that the look is actually a thing somewhere! I can see where that is a genre but I'm still going with " mud splatter from a dirt bike" genre like I said in the vid! 😊💗
I loved each and every one of these. I even loved your red one. Great ideas!!!!!
I liked that red one too. I think it does look like one of those, but it might be because i am looking at it through the camera, rather than in person. I thought it looked beautiful, and I really don't know if someone would know the difference, unless they were close to it. It was actually one of my favorite ones. Haha
But forgot to say! I love all you did! May try some for patio!
I like these my favorite is red and black.
Awesome diy planter ideas! Going to head out to Dollar Tree! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks! 😊💗
I have some catching up to do, I have been sewing for a change. Love all the ideas and I did try spackle paint, it's tough stuff, I am definitely using it on planters, Thank you 🌸💖👍
I loved how the red “ceramic “ pot looked! It was my favorite even tho I loved them all!!
All were great except the red. Agree with you
Rosemary,
I hope you and your family had a peaceful Passover or Easter, whichever you celebrate. Looking forward to watching this one.
Hi Tara! Thanks! I did! Hope you also had a peaceful holiday!
Every one was awesome .it gave me a few ideas that I want to try!!! Thanks so much for your help in stirring up my brain cells 😆
Love!!! My favorites were the first and last one!!!💚
Loved the red pot glam!! Not like tie dye at all.
No,no it toned down the red, I dig it ❣️
Love all you do...😍
Hi Judy! Thanks! So glad you are enjoying the DIYS and channel! 😊💗
If you’re into cement work. These make great molds. For 1$ not much of a loss if you accidentally or have to crack them
I loved them but the red one was least favorite. I’ll be doing some of these though specially the first three are the best in my opinion. Thank you
Rosemary! You hit it out of the park once again! As I always say, “You’re the best faker crafter on utube!!” They’re all beautiful and so simple for us all to imagine ourselves doing this! ❤️🌸💯
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks! LOL! Love it! "best faker crafter"!😊💗

Chalk paint is giving matt finish and acrylic paint giving shining
My hanging plants need to be repotted, so I just bought some white plastic pots, got the Waverly paint, and going to do the wood grain on the bottom piece! Thank you so much!
Beautiful!
You are extremely talented! What a fantastic gift you have; the ability to look at an ordinary object and see something beautiful 🤩.
They are all beautiful, I really like them, even the red one 😍. My regret is that I just repotted my plans.
Thanks and thanks for your kind words! So glad you liked the planter hacks even the red one! 😊💗
I loved the way you use spackle paint, all are nice I like the last succulent one & the structured one
Loved it my fav was the white with brown bottom
Love them all. They turned out so pretty
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks! 😊💗
I like it very much! It might not have been what you had in mind, but I love the transformation of the red pot you intended to look like a ceramic glazed pot.
I loved all of them but my favorite was the last one I have 5 baby succulents I need to space away from their mom so this is perfect!
The first Easter basket with stamp legs
My favorite was the Easter basket with stamps as feet. The color and design made it look high end. I also liked the first one. Great idea for a two tone planter.
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks especially the basket and two tone! 😊💗
They are all great but the last one with the succulents is my favorite. I will be making that one!
I have some supplies at home and $3 spare. I'm doing this! 😆
It was hard to pick a favorite.... Hmmm .. if I had to choose one, I would choose the flowerpot with the spider plant
You answered my question in this video. I just needed to be patient. Lol
I made a pot similar to the red one.. But I used the wood beads and added white wax around the beads.🙀 you are talented.
That sounds beautiful! 💗💗
Love them all. Great job 👍
You always have such great ideas I love love love it I mean the other thing is using the beads in those stamps you could make feet for any of them and I think it makes them all the higher end looking so now you got my brain really working
I really like the red pot
I loved all of your planters but that red one was my favorite. So organic looking almost like a marble. Awesome. TFS
What paint did she use for it?
Wow you make me want to head to the Dollar Tree and make these Thank you for sharing loved them all
