I have quite the collection of recyclable items. My husband said that it's amazing what I can come up with, with what others call garbage! If I can save stuff from going to the landfill and making it into something beautiful, I know it's only doing 10% but if others did the same just think how much better our landfill would be! 😃 Great job Rosemary first thing your red pot that you weren't happy with, well I think it turned out pretty good. I think it looks like ceramic glaze!
I really liked the clear bowl with white paint/textured with bead feet. Also the larger planter with raised pattern, and the sauced planter. all great.
Every single one of those turned out looking amazing! I’m so impressed with your ingenuity of taking dollar tree items and upcycling them into these beautiful planters! And actually with the red one, I really do like that you extended the brown paint all the way down to make it a consistent pattern.
I truly enjoy your creativity with these pots....I’ve been saving Maxwell House coffee containers and now they’ll be used for veggies etc.....I have steps going up to my art studio so I’m taking copper wire that I’ve stripped from scraps of electric wire to hang them with....hopefully it will keep the critters from munching up my lettuces and herbs. Because of your projects you’ve inspired me to recycle old pots and also using Dollar Tree items
My hanging plants need to be repotted, so I just bought some white plastic pots, got the Waverly paint, and going to do the wood grain on the bottom piece! Thank you so much!
I loved how the grey one turned out with the more cream white and wood base look. I have the exact same pot and I was content with it but now I’m inspired to take it up a notch. Thanks!!!
I'm transplanting miniature roses today in pots until they get big enough to survive in the ground and the dogs! These will be perfect for their next upgrade! Thanks for some ideas!
I have to admit, sometimes when I'm watching what you're doing, I am a little confused and think that there's no way that is going to look good...and then you show the completed project and my mind is always blown! I loved all of these planters, including the red one. It really did look glazed, it just looked like it was glazed with some extra darker streaks in it. My least fave was probably the architectural one, just because I'm not a fan of that type of planter. My most favorite was the last one with the succulents in it. That one turned out absolutely GORGEOUS and looks like a well used stoneware bowl, almost like something you'd see in a museum exhibit. I loved it! Thanks for sharing all your great ideas!
Hi Kelley! LOL! I love it! Always keep you guessing! It's like being on a roller coaster and you think you are going to crash into a wall and at the last second, there is sharp turn and disaster avoided! So glad you liked the planter hacks especially the bowl one! Thanks too for your suggestion regarding the milk cartons! I agree that since they are made to hold liquid they should be ok but I can also see how they could decompose over time but since actually holding soil with periodic watering it should be a really long time. But the cup or other non decomposable container would be a good solution. 😊💗
These are great! I am currently planning window boxes made of recyclable containers; tetra packs, plastic berry baskets etc because I live on the ground floor in an urban area and have had plants stolen from my windowsill and porch...so I will make ones with outer walls made of pressed tin painted copper that look great but collapse if you try to pick them up, and the inner parts will be zip tied together in a zigzag that can't be picked up. Everything will be tethered to the inside of the window frame.
I love all of these!!! You did an amazing job!!! Who would of thought the dollar tree items could look soooooo nice!!! If I HAD to pick a favorite …… it would be the off white with terra cotta base one!!! And the the red one that you didn’t like IS nice!!! ( my second favorite is the succulent one!! ) All BEAUTIFUL!!! 💕💕💕
The red pot was my favorite, although I'm not a fan of red. The glazed pots in the store are so expensive and heavy, but your dupe was amazing, and very believable. The open weave pot with the legs was also a winner. Ms. L Churchill
I actually think the glazed ceramic pot looked quite good, but, maybe, it was because I am not in person, but seeing through the camera. 🤷 I think, if you keep working on it, that technique may be work. I actually really liked it.
Hey girl! Love how you up cycled the planters. They look fantastic. Your red planter looks like it has glaze on it. There is a glaze that has bits of glass thst vary in size from pieces about the size of a pin head to pieces the size of a pea. They melt when fired and gives a lookvery similar to what you created. You may not like the pot, but I like it and that's all that matters to me. The way you made the planters with contrasting colors give them an appearance of high end pots.
Hello Miss Mary! Hope you are doing well as springtime arrives and the snows thaw! Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks even the red one! And so glad to hear about the glass glaze process and that the look is actually a thing somewhere! I can see where that is a genre but I'm still going with " mud splatter from a dirt bike" genre like I said in the vid! 😊💗
Thank you so much for your creativity. The messenger bag idea gave me an idea for covering a plastic planter. Wish viewer photos were uploadable to show viewer results based on your instructions. Thanx so much!
I have some catching up to do, I have been sewing for a change. Love all the ideas and I did try spackle paint, it's tough stuff, I am definitely using it on planters, Thank you 🌸💖👍
My favorite was the Easter basket with stamps as feet. The color and design made it look high end. I also liked the first one. Great idea for a two tone planter.
Rosemary! You hit it out of the park once again! As I always say, “You’re the best faker crafter on utube!!” They’re all beautiful and so simple for us all to imagine ourselves doing this! ❤️🌸💯
These turned out fabulous. I just went today looking for planters for my front porch and they are so expensive. I absolutely loved them all but the first planter is my favorite. I live in a very windy state and plan on using some fake plants so the only other thing I have to add to mine is rocks for stability.
I like it very much! It might not have been what you had in mind, but I love the transformation of the red pot you intended to look like a ceramic glazed pot.
All are so great. Going to use the architectal idea on 2 used pots bought from .99 store years ago and are now sun bleached. Fantastic way to make them look better (textured) than just spray painting them. Thanks Rosemary!
I love the red pot with the glass accents attached. I have two of the turquoise ones that would look so high end if painted with a terracotta drizzle. Nice job on all of the planters.
I actually have about 6 pots i picked up from Dollar Tree a few weeks ago and they have been sitting in my trunk ever since. Im so excited to try some of these ideas! Thank you so much
You always have such great ideas I love love love it I mean the other thing is using the beads in those stamps you could make feet for any of them and I think it makes them all the higher end looking so now you got my brain really working
You are extremely talented! What a fantastic gift you have; the ability to look at an ordinary object and see something beautiful 🤩. They are all beautiful, I really like them, even the red one 😍. My regret is that I just repotted my plans.
Wow you make me want to head to the Dollar Tree and make these Thank you for sharing loved them all

I respect the fact that you can evaluate your projects and reflect on what works and what doesn’t. Well done.

I loved how the grey one turned out with the more cream white and wood base look. I have the exact same pot and I was content with it but now I’m inspired to take it up a notch. Thanks!!!

All were so fun and easy. Genius!
Very talented lady and right to the point👏👏👏
The Easter basket with stamps for feet was so smart! Loooove that! I love all these ideas, but the stamps as feet was really unique, in my opinion.
I made a pot similar to the red one.. But I used the wood beads and added white wax around the beads.🙀 you are talented.

I like the red planter. Maybe some gold paint would make you like the brown portions more…it’s kind of an animal print! I like it!
Favorite was the succulent flower pot. Great ideas. Thank you for sharing
I love the red planter
I love the red pot with the glass accents attached. I have two of the turquoise ones that would look so high end if painted with a terracotta drizzle. Nice job on all of the planters.

You have done a great job with all the planters. Lovely transformation
Hard to choose a favorite but I think the small bronze planter is so cute
Like the burlap trick. UT we don't have that coco here !
The pot looks fantastic! It just needed a few light sprays with a water bottle to help it blend and flow more naturally, in my opinion.
Awesome diy planter ideas! Going to head out to Dollar Tree! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks! So glad you liked the planter hacks! 😊💗
I loved them but the red one was least favorite. I’ll be doing some of these though specially the first three are the best in my opinion. Thank you
