Here's an fast and inexpensive way to build your own tall wood planters! Tapered, modern design, build in five different heights! Free plans: www.ana-white....
So glad I found your videos last year. I used this exact tutorial this past year and was able to sell 25 of these for $149 per planter. I had one customer come back after buying 2 of them and she bought 8 more as Christmas gifts. I can now make one of these in just about 3 hours so it only takes me a week to do10 of them. Thank you so much for making my hobby so profitable. My wife and I are now able to buy our first house.
As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!
I’ve followed two Ana White projects and both have turned out so darn good:) I love her “build, share, repeat” philosophy. I’m here to give her credit. Thank you Ana.
Ahh, Ana, the woman of my dreams! I did not know that my woodworking layout could be improved if I only did quilting beforehand. Nice approach & "must try" the way you do it.
That’s extremely impressive and so smart! Very well delivered and explained. Beautifully executed, I’m now stuck binge watching your channel 😆 I Love wood working, I greatly appreciate the plans. 🙏 thank you.
We are working on fixing up the yard and I have been looking for the perfect planters to hold our outdoor lights but that also wouldnt look cheap but wouldnt break the bank either and these are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT 😍. THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!!!
I really like your video it’s easy to follow the steps and the planters are beautiful 🤩 I must say I’m 74years old and I made 3 of them the first one was not that great I I had some gaps that I feel them with wood filling and it worked, the other 2 came perfectly 👍
OMG just what i have been wanting to do but did not know how to do it i just came across you looking at videos thank you so much and hope too see more GOD BLESS!!!!!
Couple comments: I would stain the boards before I cut them to speed up that process, and touch up the cut ends afterward. Also filling the bottom with styrofoam packing peanuts takes up a large amount of space with very little weight penalty! Great video! And what an easy project!
I am so happy I found you. Your videos are so easy to understand and your website has lots of great ideas, plus you teach how to do the projects really well :)) Thank you for sharing these with us.
This seems like a smart way to make these and I'm going to give it a try. I think a modification I'll try is to put a 5 degree miter on both ends of the strips. Seems that would make the top flatter once assembled and make it easier to then add a mitered edge around the top.
Thank you so much for this video. You made this so much more simpler than all the other videos I've watched. Now I'm excited to actually take this project on😁💕💗💕
Nice one Ana. That wood would ( ? ) cost an arm and a leg here in the YUK. I use pallet wood, my pet gorilla disassembles them for me. I coat the wood with old engine oil which you can acrylic overpaint. If a varnish external finish I plane the facing sides. As the grandpa of five girls I really appreciate your inspiring creation all activity.subscribed.
Ana thank you for sharing and the dimensions I'm always looking for something to do I love working with wood these planters are great have to have a go thanks again.
BEAUTIFUL !! The planters are nice too !! I'm going to make some of these but put a mitered flat top on them. Love the idea and the shape !! Thank you so much for a great video !! Take care and stay safe !! Love the smell of Cedar when it gets wet too !! You have a new subscriber !!
Ana thank you soo much for all the time you take to make these videos! I’m new to woodworking and have downloaded and made some of your projects. I think you make the difficult project very easy to understand and make, and it’s functional! also I think that you could probably start selling your plans.....I definitely would buy them! Your great! Keep up the good work!
I want to build planters that are at least 30 inch deep and 24 inches wide for 36 inch tall rose trees. Can you put a bottom on these planters with a drain hole? Thanks.
Nice shape but need feet on the bottom to lift off the ground or they’ll rot. Would be better with a base and plastic membrane inside or wet soil will soon rot the wood
I just want to make somthing long short indoor for a bar that turns to a clutter catcher so I want to add a cutom planter for 2 spider plants and succulents will this work but with a doffrent desighn blueprint
They are typically under $3/piece. www.lowes.com/pd/Severe-Weather-Common-5-8-in-x-5-1-2-in-x-6-ft-Actual-0-625-in-x-5-5-in-x-6-ft-Cedar-Dog-Ear-Wood-Fence-Picket/3556636

Holy cow, we did this! Thank you, Ana. I didn’t think we had the skills to make this but we did. So cheap and pretty easy.

I’m not a wood worker but when I see ingenuity and intelligence I bow and respect ! Well done 👍
With a little modification they would make a cool raised planting bed...thanks for the idea. They look great, and yes ceder is the choice here..
That’s extremely impressive and so smart! Very well delivered and explained. Beautifully executed, I’m now stuck binge watching your channel 😆 I Love wood working, I greatly appreciate the plans. 🙏 thank you.

Amazing 🤩

Beautiful work, I enjoyed seeing how you built them...:)
I want to build planters that are at least 30 inch deep and 24 inches wide for 36 inch tall rose trees. Can you put a bottom on these planters with a drain hole? Thanks.
Great video and very simplistic. I hope Ryobi are paying you something
Awesome
Thanks for watching!
Nice shape but need feet on the bottom to lift off the ground or they’ll rot. Would be better with a base and plastic membrane inside or wet soil will soon rot the wood
Pine cones make a really good filler too, and they can be free!
MUY BUENO Y GRACIAS
Thanks for watching!
How long do the non treated furring strips last out in the weather? Do you treat them after building? Thanks
Did you now watch the whole video?
Hi, would this planter slat expand and warp if u make slats too tight from side to side?
Question...In your plans you say to use the NON Dogear Pickett's, is there a specific reason why?
Found my next project
Happy building!
I just want to make somthing long short indoor for a bar that turns to a clutter catcher so I want to add a cutom planter for 2 spider plants and succulents will this work but with a doffrent desighn blueprint
Has anyone tried this without a brad nailer? I'm thinking of using glue and exterior screws.
sounds good till you price up the tools you'll need
👏👍
What’s the best outdoor paint/ finish for this project?
Will dog eared boards work?
Here is the full plan www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/tall-wood-planters
It is not for using dogeared boards.
Merci extremely smart time economy
Need a radiator cover can you show how to make one out of wood.
I liked your layout idea. But felt it needed a dressy top
Женюсь. 😍💐
you got to be careful with screws in that 5/8 cedar material. good way to split that wood and destroy your project.
pre drill the holes first
Wow that does look easy to do and something I can afford to do in an afternoon ....gotta grab my hammer and nails
so where is everyone getting cedar Picketts from? I looked at the local Lowes yesterday and a 5-1/2" x 6' cedar was $22.00
They are typically under $3/piece. www.lowes.com/pd/Severe-Weather-Common-5-8-in-x-5-1-2-in-x-6-ft-Actual-0-625-in-x-5-5-in-x-6-ft-Cedar-Dog-Ear-Wood-Fence-Picket/3556636
